Was pretty excited to go to boomers today as I don't get to go often. I asked for the combo #2 with no tomato and a Dr Pepper with no ice. Get my order and there's ice in my drink and it's so watered down there's no carbonation at all so I can't even drink it. Open up my burger and there's tomato on it and the bottom of the bun is rock hard and inedible. Waste of money. Not happy with my meal at all read more

A must visit whenever you're in town, this is the best burger joint I've ever been to. Perfect burgers, milkshakes and waffle fries. My only complaint is that the drinks can be small for the price, but Boomers is the sort of place you should get a shake instead anyway. Waffle fries and awesome burgers. What more could you ask for? I love Boomer's burgers and one is more than enough to feed a hungry appetite. The drive-up service is really neat and convenient because the inside seating area is often very crowded. The waitresses can be slow to notice you in the drive-up, but it is understandable since they are on their feet all day running around the restaurant as well as managing the drive-up. The classic burger joint. Offering delicious and thick milkshakes with tons of flavors, awesomely cheap burgers with a huge pay off considering the flavorful meat and those divine waffle fries. The atmosphere is family friendly, but also great for college kids (obviously) to go and have a quick, juicy bite. Driving in is a cool option, but if it isn't as busy as it so often can be, I recommend going and sitting by the cozy fire that rests in the middle of the somewhat small restaurant. The circular hearth has been, for me, the coolest place to grab a burger in Bellingham yet. Definitely worth it, even though it can be out the door busy, especially when the anniversary sale is going on (mostly during February). read more

Love the local Boomers Drive In!!! Have been coming here for years. I usually get the teriyaki chicken burger which is my favorite. It is super messy, and super yummy. The chicken is grilled, with a ring of pineapple then loaded with all the fixings!! Making me hungry just thinking about it. Even when it's not their anniversary sale the prices are good. Be forewarned on a Sunday afternoon it is always crowded. We have learned to call in an order or burgers and when we show up we just pick them up and gobble them up. read more

Today was our first time coming to Boomers and was pretty disappointed, we pulled in and made sure the headlights were on and waited and waited for someone to come take our order, we saw two other cars pull in after us and watched them be served but still nobody ever came over to us! I saw one female server look over at me and make eye contact twice but still nothing, as I was about to go and ask for a server my boyfriend was really bothered by the whole situation and wanted to leave, so we left without ever being waited on, I am bummed because I heard the food and shakes were really good and guessing that we won't be coming back after that!!! read more

Food is a little better quality than mcds but not by much. Way over priced. 5 finger jacks is waaaaaay better. Fries r ok. Nothing to brag about. Burgers r premade patties. I have never, ever been disappointed with anything on their menu. One of my favorite places in Bellingham. Make sure to check out their anniversary sale (either Jan or Feb, can't remember) where the burgers are on sale for the entire month. Make sure you have plenty of time though, this place is usually jam packed and its hard to find a table. Worth the wait, I still give it five stars. read more

Everyone hypes this place up and Boomer's does not disappoint, prices are decent and there are a lot of options. From the beginning of January all the way until the end of February all burgers are only $3, making it hard to fight the freshman fifteen. My only real gripe is that it always takes forever to get your order but its understandable since they are always so busy. I recommend trying the Dr. Pepper Cherry shake, I have to get one every time I go. read more

As regulars, my friends and I came into Boomer's for lunch around 11:15 a.m today (6/2/19). Beatrice was the cashier who took and processed our order. She was incredibly disrespectful to us the entire time. For example, after printing the receipt, she glanced at it and rudely said, "are you going to sign that?" She was abrupt, impolite and should not be working there. Boomer's is an excellent establishment, but she does not reflect the usual standard of great service. Boomers drive in does not deserve the good rating it has on yelp. The burgers here are not good. The shakes taste super milky. There fries were soggy. And there special sauce was tarter sauce. It was not cheap either. Dicks burger is 1000 x's better. This place probably got good reviews because it's the only burger place in that small town. I was not impressed at all. read more

I absolutely LOVE Boomer's!! The burgers, the waffle fries, the shakes....man oh man, they do it just right. Back in my WWU days, I would immediately call them when I got out of class (647-BOOM, yes I did have it memorized) and pick up my meal on my way home. Now that I'm in Seattle I don't get the chance to eat there as often as I dream and crave. I try to bum burgers off my friends that head up there to visit, but nobody has brought my one back. Maybe because that'll be gross, but man I am desperate for that deliciousness. I haven't found another burger place that compares to it's yumminess, not even Red Mill (uh oh, the Seattle-lites may hunt me down for that one). In short, go to Boomer's. Not the greatest for a vegetarian if you're looking for proper food. But very worth it if you want a milkshake. They'll make just about any combo you can think of. I suggest mint oreo or peanut butter fudge. Made with hard ice cream, so it's quit different from your Mcd's shake. But well worth a try. I love boomers so much and this is always the first place to go for a burger in town, but tonight my experience with a particular waitress only shown as "cat 18" on my receipt made me now consider otherwise. I pulled up and had no lights on while waiting on a friend, she came out immediately rude and short asking for our order as we proceeded to explain we are waiting for a friend and our lights aren't on, then she insisted she takes it now, I just say a combo #1 then hesitate explaining we'd honestly like to wait for a friend and she only responds with "what kind of shake" 2 times. So me and my boyfriend said we would pay separate and put in our order she then charged my card for both barely handed me back my card and started to walk off with an attitude . I called for her saying she charged both and we were paying separate and she just came back, grabbed my card and walked inside as she made an exchange all while with a huge attitude no hello or anything. Boomer's is great local staple. I think they just celebrated their 20th or 25th anniversary or something. Each year around the time of the anniversary, for about a month very burger on the menu is 2.69 (used to be 2.49). They have a lot of burgers, and they are GOOD! Boomer's is what fast food used to be and what it still should be. The waffle fries are to die for and the burgers are utterly superb. The restaurant is always packed on the downside, with an extremely long wait, but the end result is delicious food no matter what you're ordering: I have never tried the shakes, though, more or less having the antithesis of a sweet tooth (though normally shakes are the ONLY sweet thing I have, so it 's especially weird). Anyway, just keep driving about a block down from Arby's and McDonalds and all that other hell on Earth and you will not regret it.
