I came here frequently when I was a student at WWU. This place has the best waffle fries hands down. They are always cooked perfectly with no burns. The burgers are really good and is perfectly compliments with fries and a shake. I have to drop by whenever I head to Canada or visiting Bham. I love this place! I'm from seAttle and drive out to visit friends often. Today was my first time ever coming to boomers and I was expecting a burger master type deal. It is 100x cuter and nicer than that! They have waffle fries and I got my combo with bacon for $8. The burger and fries are DELICIOUS ! The food here is super good, and is priced very reasonably. It is not too hard on the wallet! Although, the last time I went there i didn't receive great service. The employees were standoffish and kind of rude. They were efficient in getting our food to us, which I really appreciate. I also understand work can be stressful, and late nights in food service aren't easy either. I was just hoping for a pleasurable experience since I had walked all the way there and was STARVED. but the workers seemed like they wanted to leave. Had a really negative experience at Boomers during Boomuary. After ordering online 45 minutes prior to pickup time and leaving the required contact information for the pickup person, said pickup person was denied my order because they incorrectly put it in my name and their online system denied them accurate information. After being told there was no order, they "found" the order and told the pickup person that they would need to wait past the pickup time and get back in the long line while they made our order. Then after waiting another 15 minutes in line, the rude employees "found" the order had already been made and had been getting cold for 15 minutes. Got our money back and left. It's a bummer that Boomers can't staff to keep up with the rush because it's making us not want to come back. It may be a great burger but it's not worth the rude service, inefficient ordering method and incompetent. read more

Not sure how anyone could rate below a 5! Although I guess I'm loyal to this place since I grew up here. The burgers are huge, juicy, and have a delicious special sauce. I really think there Boomer burger is the best burger I've ever had. The waffle fries are amazing, and so are the milkshakes. Came during the anniversary sale and I absolutely loved it! I got a fish burger, the big boom, waffle fries, onion rings, teriyaki burger, and a chocolate malt shake. My favorite was the big boom and then the fish burger. Everything else was really good too. Be prepared to wait awhile during rush hour because it does get busy. read more

Delicious burgers, shakes, and fries! What you'd expect from an old skewl styled restaurant! They have the park and waitress' come out to as well as a nice small walk in restaurant area complete with a fire in the middle! The mushroom swiss or bacon burger are my favorites. read more

Requested medium on the burgers & was informed they can't accommodate that but would ask the cook "not to over cook." Also asked for Swiss cheese instead of American. No problem placing the order. However, what I received was a dry, greyish-charred (like crunchy on the edges), & COLD burger with no cheese. But I give these guys one star for affordability. Just went up to the 'ham to visit with some college friends and eat almighty Boomer's burgers!!! I used to frequent this place often to get my burger fix - especially during the anniversary sale. Excellent no-nonsense burgers with the right ratio of meat to bun to sauce to extras. Plus glorious waffle fries, perfectly seasoned. Boomers is that standard place to go when nowhere else sounds good. They set up the best veggie burger in town with the right amount of toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, and special sauce. The combos are pretty good deals even though they have a surcharge to make it a veggie burger. read more

The burgers would be great except that the patties need just a little more flavor/depth, and aren't that juicy. However, the waffle fries and shakes are awesome. I would recommend the guacamole bacon burger, teriyaki burger, and fish burger. The fried mushrooms are good too. Also, the girls who work here aren't that friendly. Solid burgers for the price. Average burger that doesn't command the eternal wait we experienced. I politely inquired as to the whereabouts of our meal...twice. FORTY minutes later, we were served. Not so much as a "boo" in the way of explanation or apology. I'm not a fan of the waffle fries, either. Mine were seriously undercooked. Just the kind of Burger you would hope to get when you stop at a "Real Drive-In" Restaurant! I had a Juicy, Dripping (but not greasy), Delicious Teriyaki Burger, and their Sweet Potato Waffle Fries, and it was a heavenly experience. It was a refreshing experience to have to turn on the headlights for service, and have a very nice young lady come serve us, with a very nice smile. No question that this will be our choice of where to eat the next time we're in, or near Bellingham. P.S. Ask for extra napkins. read more
