Food was alright. The fideo my kid got was good, the rolled tacos my husband had were smothered in red sauce but it was so thick it tasted like tomato paste. We did not like them. On Sundays, they have $1 mimosa glasses which is irresistible. Service was very quick too which is great! I was hungry and super ready for chilaquiles but even more so for the mimosa! My friend wanted to meet up for brunch so I suggested this spot. Very affordable menu options so it was perfect. It's a fun sports bar setting with lots of high table tops and regular ones as well. I needed to update this review. I don't know what happened but I got so sick the last time I ate here. I'm not sure if I would come back since I've heard from friends that the same happened. :( I missed El Paso food so much while I was in Orlando that I immediately went to try the taco place that I've had on my list for a while...Boozy Tacos and Tap. We were greeted immediately as we talked in and I like the fact that they had 3 sections, one for fast casual for the workers looking to grab a quick bite with walk up counter service, and a section for full service, and an outdoor patio. We sat in the quick service area but the bartender quickly came around and took our order. It was on a Monday and they had $4 frozen alcoholic drinks. I got the mango strawberry painkiller and believe me it dulled all the aches and pain from walking everywhere at the theme parks. It was super yummy and super strong with 2 different types of rum. Definitely recommend. My friend got 3 crispy ground beef tacos and they asked if she wanted lettuce and tomatoes which she did. They are massive! They also remind me of Taco Bell tacos but on a grander scale. Very delicious with the medium salsa they had at the table. I got the "fancy" tacos with Arrachera, Ahi Tuna, and Artichoke. It was an A+ day I guess. Lol Anyhoo, I would recommend you get the sauces on the side since they came drenched in them, except for the Arrachera, it had nothing so you can put your own salsa on it. While the presentation of the food made it look appetizing, make no mistake, it's horrendous. ~$4.59 for a rotten tasting fish taco is absurd. If I wanted to feel sick after eating tacos I'd go to Taco Bell. This place somehow managed to make overpriced and atrocious tasting fish tacos. Would not recommend at all. Also, the chips they serve are thick as armadillo skin and overcooked. They came out dark as a dark brown as you can get before burning them to a crisp. I have been there many times and I loved the place for the CRUNCHY tacos. I went in today at 11am the doors were locked. I had to call in to ask if they was gonna open at 11:15 am. Already making my lunch break short. I order 4 crunchy tacos which came super fast. The tortillas was burnt on the outside and not even cooked through the inside! After having a night full of char in my mouth I told him this was not right. He attempted to take them back and let the cook know. He came back with a new set of tacos which was at least not burnt. Now soaked in grease on the outside and not cook through the inside they tacos was even worst! I showed the server and at that point I was disgusted! I asked to take them to go! I was a big fan of this place and would always take my family and friends! I am very dissatisfied and disappointed! Someone hyped up this place way too much. It definitely wasn't all that. We had the soupy rolled tacos, the green sauce was way better than the tomatoey red. The steak nachos were pretty good. And so was the choriqueso. Except for we could've used more chips. My kids love the chicken bites with tater tots and they did not have the fideo. I was really hoping to the chicken mole tacos but they did not have them. The restaurant was pretty empty and they didn't have that many waitresses so the service was pretty slow. I love very few things more than tacos and have to say this place was a total bust for me. The stars given were for the service and Tuesday specials more than anything. You know if the salsa comes out of a squeeze bottle it says something, and its not good. Tuesday specials are 1.50 tacos but they are crunchy "taco bell " style. Yes you can have your choice of chicken beef , brisket, pulled pork or green potato but the Shell tasted crunchy and chewy if that makes sense. Came out to try this place out and love the decor. They have a nice outdoor patio area and indoor sitting area. I ordered the texi mexi tater tots for an appetizer and she ordered the choriqueso quesadilla. The portions were nice and big. I then ordered a pollo elote taco and a fiesta shrimp taco. It has an upbeat atmosphere with loud music videos playing in the TVs hanging on the walls around the restaurant. It has a full bar and the classic margarita on the rocks are pretty good with an extra shot of tequila! Tried the new neighborhood spot. The place is beautifully setup and their patio area has heaters and it's covered which is perfect for the winter. In reading the menu I got that famous taco place in Austin vibes. The fancy tacos are in flour tortillas but they do have corn tacos called Crunchys. We ordered as follow; Guac and chips: great chips but the guac was a no for me. I personally don't like an overly citrusy guacamole and this is just that. Salpicon fancy taco: I love a good salpicon but this one was wayyyy to vinegary it took away from the flavor of the meat and toppings. My mistake was assuming it was salpicon inspired, no they literally serve you cold salpicon (as typically served) in a flour tortilla, unfortunately my flour tortilla was cold too. Crunchy tacos (3) ground beef, pork and potatoes and green chile: the pork is not pulled pork as I would think for a taco, its BBQ-ish definitely not for me. The ground beef was well, ground beef. I felt it lacked flavor, savoriness, something. The winner was the potato and green chile taco, amazing stuff the combination of the chili and potatoes was so well combined. For some reason these corn crunchy tacos break super easily, you'll need a fork. They have a nice drink menu, margaritas, palomas, draft and bottle beer. The beer prices seem very reasonable $3/$5 (s/lg). The overall flavor in my opinion is very Tex-Mex but like a lot. The salas they have are almost a joke to consider salsas but hey to each their own. If you're from EP and think these are tacos like the ones we're used to locally, let that idea go because you'll be disappointed. If you want to try something new, check them out, and support a new business. We tried this new spot as soon as we were able to get into the parking lot! In true El Paso fashion this new place has been packed since it opened ! The decor reminds me of taco cabana somehow. The tacos are good. We had 4 different soft tacos in flour tortillas. Our favorite was chicken and corn taco. We did not care for the fideo. It's not bad but it was thick. This place is like a taco sports bar. Taco and alcohol specials all week long, something different every day. I went on a Taco Tuesday when their crispy tacos are just $1.50 each. Regularly $2.49 or so. And Crispy is the best description, these aren't, or to my taste, weren't crunchy corn shells. They seemed to be fried flour tortillas, crispy in the outside and slightly chewy on the inside, so you really have to BITE thru the taco. They offer 5 different kinds, ground beef, chicken, guacamole, and two other fillings. All come with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. THANK YOU!! I hate places that skip the tomatoes. There is a hot and mild taco sauce on the table, but when the order came they also brought two more sauces with no labels. I had to ask the manager what they were as he walked by cuz I'm a Caucasian and didn't want to get caught adding something I could not handle to my taco!! He told me the red was the hottest sauce they have and the whiteish one was an avocado crema. Good think I asked! I did try all but the hottest one, all were pretty good and complemented my tacos. The ground beef ones were delicious. The guac one could have used a bit more guac, the amount it had got lost in the lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. Several of their drinks looked amazing, and they have beer and drink specials different days and new rolled tacos and Brunch on Sunday I think? It's kinda hard to find...just keep going on the access road, you'll come to it, there are so many little strip malls on the way, even my GPS went to the wrong one. Oh and they have this 'collector cup" for sodas or tea. Regular drinks are $2.49 which is an excellent drink price these days. Our waitress, MONIQUE, was a true pleasure! She recommended the Choriqueso for an appetizer and she was spot on! It was FANTASTIC! Plenty to take home! We had the Chilaquiles with her recommendation of shredded beef and half red Chile and half green chile...EXCELLENT, as well, and plenty to take home (the "large" dish is more than enough for 2 to share. And we had AWESOME Mimosas for $1 and they gave my wife her choice of 3 cakes for her birthday, and she chose the "Tres Leches"! The General Manager came by a few times (I forgot to ask his name), to check in us, and bring us water. He was very attentive and friendly, as was MONIQUE, our server!
