Always a 5 star rating from me and my family. The food is always fabulous and a great value. They offer an evening early bird special until 6:30 which we take full advantage of and usually take enough home for lunch the next day. Their homemade soups are fabulous and they have a different one each eveing. The breakfast & lunch are as good as dinner. Since there is little to compare with this caliber of restaurant in Daly City they do get busy and may have wait times, especially on weekend nights or popular brunch hours but not any different or longer than other popular places. The staff is extremely team oriented, stable, always friendly, work as quickly as possible to move tables without pushing people out and make it a pleasant experience for us every time. We probably eat here about 4-6 times per month, bring family & friends too. Another good thing about this place is they are willing to give back to the community, participate in EScrip for our schools, partipate in charitable events with gift certs, etc. and are just your next door, community oriented, friendly folks who offer great food at a great value with great service! read more

This place is a great neighborhood restaurant. It does get pretty packed for dinner on the weekends so I would make reservations just to be safe. Also the parking lot fills up pretty fast. Service is good. I actually like the breakfast more than the dinner but my husband LOVES the pot roast and I would say it's the best item on their dinner menu. I loved this restaurant! Went there last Saturday and had the John Daly omelette, which was delicious! The ingredients were fresh and the food arrived quickly. The hash browns were also cooked to perfection, and not greasy like some places make them. I didn't even get to eat my toast, because I was stuffed from the omelette and hash browns. My only complaint would be that the waitress was not as attentive as we would have liked. We had to flag her down for drink refills, but overall I was so busy enjoying my meal I didn't really care that she was MIA. Already have plans to go back again this weekend! read more

i've been here several times in the past and in recent times, several times as well. It has a lot of room and a nice atmosphere as well, with great food! It doesn't matter what your dietary concern is, because they have something for everyone. Not only is there great food, but there's a great variety as well. Parking is a bit of a hassle due to the proximity to apartments and the popularity of this place, but it at least has parking available compared to other places. the only area where i knock off a star is the service consistency. one day i went and every server was happy, smiling, and was very attentive (mine included), and i went a few weeks later and nobody was smiling, made me feel rushed. All in all the place is fantastic, with only minor issues and i'll still gladly come back with friends. read more

An average restaurant with great aspirations. Imagine an American diner like Denny's trying its hardest to become upscale. It has validated parking, friendly waitress and wait staff in trendy black clothing and a physical architecture of a futuristic Jetson design. Yet, the quality of the food is basically Americana diner. I had the fish and chips with a side salad that contained fresh fish prepared poorly. A friend had a meat loaf meals that looked average. Our waitress was friendly. Other waiters and wait staff seemed rushed for such a small restaurant. Recommendation: A smaller menu and a more creative experienced cook to liven up the food. read more

I usually really love this place. The things they do well, they do really well. It's owned by a Greek family so anything Mediterranean tends to be delicious. They also make amazing Swedish pancakes, chicken fried steak and most breakfast items. Salads are usually flavorful and well-dressed. It feels like a typical dinner, clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy. Service tends to be good, but sometimes it can be lacking. I've had service there that was fantastic. but occasionally it's lackluster and slow. I've also had a few mediocre dishes such as the artichoke dip and the burgers. Generally I'm very happy with the place so I take my chances. You should too. read more

One of my favorite places to come to eat when I go to the beach. My favorite dish is the double chicken breasts the mashed potatoes are amazing the vegetables taste super good and the chicken is very high-quality and very tasty. It was my first time here after my friends told me there is always a long line for brunch. I was there on Friday morning and there were no lines and it wasn't even busy. I have a good experience there. The restaurant is clean, especially the bathroom. THANK YOU. Was there Sunday with my daughter. Normally don't eat out much with her as she is 2 and a nightmare at restaurants. Our sever - Magaly (I hope that's how she spells it) she was SUPER friendly and basically brought me anything to keep my daughter happy. The service is super good and very quick. I came out of work today hungry, tired, and not in the best mood. I came to Boulevard because I had heard good things from friends. When I walked in, there was a short line to write your name down but the hostess made her job look easy and I was sat down in no time. I was quickly greeted by my server, Amanda. She had a great energy, it even made me feel a bit better about my day. She wrote down my order (and even complimented me on my hair!), and said the food would be out soon. I ordered the Brioche French Toast with bananas and I have never had any French toast like those! They were amazing!! I look forward to the day I can come back. This restaurant is extremely overhyped. The food was also awful. I got the Caesar salad and I don't know how they messed it up, but they did. The service was adequate. The server was pouring my water and got it all over my lap and table and didn't apologize.I would not recommend this restaurant. This is the worst restaurant in all of San Francisco. I placed an order for pick up at 8:15 pm. My order was not ready until 9 pm. Come to find they did not put the Sioux I ordered in the bag which was a big disappointment. But secondly, when I opened the shrimp Louie salad, all that was in there was s bed of lettuce and about 20 pieces of baby shrimp and 1 whole cut up tomato. Second time eating here and both times we've received the best customer service despite how busy they always are. I ordered the huevos rancheros (AMAZING), but I mistakenly forgot to ask for no cheese. Awww....what a breath of fresh air! This is the only place to get a decent breakfast in DC...my fav is the Blvd omelette, my husband the banana's foster. The servings are large enough that we can share. Even my kids will give up their cartoon menus at Baker's Square for some darn good waffles or blueberry pancakes at Blvd. Cafe. The staff is awesome, the owners are ever present and checking to make sure we have what we need (Thank you John and David!) The lounge is the best because of the 'tenders (I mean that in every sense of the word ) Marcel and Josiah....they rock! Only gave 4 stars because, yes, the parking sucks! The staff here are sooo nice! And food comes out in a timely manner. I hear their mac and cheese is delish, but have yet to try it. I had some of their clam chowder and tried the spaghetti carbonara. soup was good, but a little bland. the spaghetti was a little heavy, but what did I expect? I love their sourdough bread though! I go to Boulevard Cafe at least once a week, mostly for hangover breakfasts. Their breakfast is amazing, and they serve it until 2pm which is amazing. I'll even order take out from them for dinner occasionally. It's convenient and very tasty. My favorites here are the Swedish pancakes (I'd never had one before until I accidentally ordered them from here, best mistake ever.) and the hot dog mac and cheese . The wait staff could be a little more attentive, it's a hit and miss, hence the 4 stars. I'm actually surprised they don't recognize me and my roommates yet because we're there so often. Anyway, I really recommend Boulevards. They have a lot to choose from and the food is delicious. Parking can be a little tricky on weekends, but I've seen them do valet on especially busy Friday nights. read more

This place is awesome! I go to the Boulevard often. I have never gone to the Boulevard and ordered something that was not delicious. The restaurant is always very clean and no matter how busy they are you get seated in less than 15 minutes. They bring water and bread as soon as you sit down. Even their house salad and vinegrette (that in most places is just a filler) is really tasty. Since moving to Daly City and finding this gem I usually don't pick anywhere else to go. I live nearby this place so after months living in Daly City, me and my boyfriend decide to give it a try on our anniversary. Bad idea. We ordered two cocktails and I mentioned I forgot my ID at home. The lady didn't seem to bother or even ask the ID of my boyfriend. After a while, they gave us and when I went to taste, came a rushing lady out of nowhere and took the cup of my mouth! What a rudeness! After this she said they are not allowed to sell drinks to people without ID bla bla, however she didn't took my boyfriend's drink. The drink was pretty bad by the way, called Daly City cocktail, taste like a dirty barrel. And the prices was way too high for the so so meal. Bottom line: Never go back again read more

I had breakfast yesterday after the Bay To Breakers Race with some friends. I had the Denver Omelet, can't go wrong with that. It comes with hash browns. Large portions and I paid about $9.50 along with fresh squeezed OJ, maybe about $11.50. The place was packed so come early or make a reservation. Wait time for a party of 10 was about 45 minutes but I think it was worth the wait. The service was fast and efficient and the waitress was friendly. I would have given them a 5 star had I not tried their hot dog mac. I normally order the fried chicken for dinner, but I decided to change my order for the mac and cheese. It needs some improvement. The outside was nice and crispy cheese but the inside was very wet and watery. It was cold inside, but it was hot either, just lukewarm. I have been there for breakfast and had the bananas foster french toast. It was really good but could have used a little less syrup. It was a little too sweet even for a person who has a giantic sweet tooth. For the drinks, I recommend the Orange Creamsicle (21+) or the chocolate martini. They are reasonably priced and come with a large side (fries, potato salad, etc.) They even have a Mediterranean plate which is, surprisingly, excellent for an American diner.
