Bounty Kitchen is amazing. The food, the atmosphere, and the people just make this a fantastic restaurant. The decor is light, bright, and inviting. I have enjoyed coming here with friends, or by myself for lunch while I'm on Queen Anne hill. The food is beyond words delicious. Using real, whole, fresh ingredients, they are able to come up with hearty, satisfying dishes. Vegan options are plentiful on the menu, and many dishes that are vegetarian or omnivore can be easily (and flavorfully) made vegan. I've had their sandwiches and their bowls, and I can say they're all delicious. Today I enjoyed the Green Zinger fresh juice, a perfect way to chase away the winter blues. And a Havana Libre bowl, a warming and filling bowl with spinach, red beans, rice, sweet potato, cashew-lime sauce, and some sort of tangy tomato-y sofrito magic, all topped with toasted cashews. Bounty Kitchen was BY FAR my favorite place in Queen Anne. On a girl's trip in January, we decided that we needed some actually healthy food. Real ingredients right down the street from our Air BnB were calling our name. We rolled in around 11:30 on a Saturday. I was so super hungry--- not an exaggeration. So, I ordered a salad and a bowl of the tomato soup. The soup was hot and fresh and did not disappoint. I am a big fan of tomato soup to begin with but this took it to a new level. Delicious. The salad I chose was the Spicy Southern Not Fried Chicken. The seasoning was some of the best I have had. I truly enjoyed all the fresh veggies and the bright colors of the food. Can we get a place like this in Texas please? I will admit the portions were more than I bargained for. These were much bigger than some of the salads I have had--- which I appreciated. Overall, a good experience. Good customer service. The only drawback is the seating. Since I am from Texas, I am just used to big spaces. Sad. Super annoying when I say "aw man, that's my favorite" and you then tell me "it's mine too, I always drink it." Like, stop drinking the apparently limited supply of the turmeric tastic juice if paying customers want it. And second, it should not take 15 minutes for my vanilla cinnamon coffee to be made and delivered when I'm only one of four customers sitting down. Especially when I see you talking to your colleague who is eating a cookie while you sip on something. Where is my something to sip on? If you have coffee on the menu, you should have a pot always at the ready, especially since it's the easiest thing to make. Come on. read more

I look up salads on Yelp in Seattle, and some of my favorites in Seattle are not the obvious options that come up first on Yelp (ahem Lovage, Evergreens, Sweetgrass...). My favorite salads have been unusual combinations from places like London Plane, Tilikum, and now Bounty Kitchen. * Not-Fried Chicken Salad - 4.5 stars: I ordered the Spicy Southern not-fried chicken salad and it was a surprising concoction of alot of ingredients that just worked really well. It was both refreshing, texturally interesting, filling and satisfying. Some things you just won't find anywhere were their mix of chicory, the generous amounts of fresh parsley, and spicy maple roasted pecans. The dressing was thick and creamy and I didn't think I would like it because I gravitate towards lighter vinaigrette but it was great. * Avo Toast - 3 stars: The avocado toast was generous for $7, as it comes with a poached egg, but when I received my toast perhaps because I ordered take out and ate it too long after preparation, was COMPLETELY brown. No points docked, my biggest complaint was that I felt the flavors were kinda meh and prefer my avo toast from Mr. West. Not a bad avocado toast but not one I would venture from Downtown for. Great spot for brunch. It has a small space but a good number of outdoor seating. We went there right when they opened, so no wait time. Their menu offers simple items, but they add a little something that makes it better than usual brunch flair. I had Hunter's scramble. It has cured meat from Olympia provisions which was tasty; what made it stand out is crumble of white cheddar cheese on top from Beecher's flagship cheese. It came with a couple of slices of simple toasted sourdough bread, which was also delicious. I often feel somewhat disappointed with scramble or omelet dishes at popular brunch restaurants. Bounty Kitchen is that place to a T. It's fine, and I don't regret having gone (strong words of praise, I know!). That said, its sandwiches and salads are fifteen bucks a pop for a bowl that's not nearly filling and nowhere close to flavorful. I would tell you what I ordered there, but it's been about a week since I last went and I could not for the life of me remember any meaningful detail about the salad (I think? The staff is very inviting. The food was great. My wife got a salad, I ordered an avacado breakfast sandwich. We sat outside, being just off Queen Anne Ave on Boston street this provided a more quiet sitting than most places in the area, bit still enough traffic to watch the city move. Healthy vegetarian/vegan bowls (no they aren't strictly vegetarian either). We tried the Havana Libre and the Marrakech bowls. Both were full flavored, well put together, good portions. Higher quality bowls than any we've tried at any other place in Seattle. We easily could have chosen a dozen other items on the menu. They looked so delicious. I really enjoyed the French lentil bowl with green goddess dress - so much, in fact, I've gotten it 3x during my week here and started to cook lentils at home now that I'm back in NY w/out access back to bounty kitchen... My friends found the bahn mi sandwich just so so. They did, however, love the scone here. I would give two stars for our experience but 1. I don't generally ever give two stars and 2. I still want to like this restaurant. However, our experience here on Sunday during lunch was not at all pleasant and left us with a bitter taste in our mouth for sure. Sure, it was busy and there were people ahead of us in line to order but we waited 40 minutes for a take-out order for two salads and a sandwich. Add to that, the order total was $46 and the food was okay but not great and you really have anything but a win-win combo. I'm not entirely sure what happened but several people who came in after us, ordered after us, were dining in and thus using a table, got their food several minutes ahead of us. There is no reason that should happen especially since those receiving their food all had hot dishes whereas ours were all cold, assemble and pack, items. We were both pretty annoyed after the 40 minute wait but were hoping that at least we would get a sincere apology or explanation for what happened with our order. Instead, the girl who saw us waiting for an eternity tried to blame us for the wait, saying that had our order been for two people instead of four (four?) or if we had called in ahead we would have gotten our order sooner. What restaurant expedites food based off of the number of diners on an order and seriously what could have possible taken so long to make? We did like the flavors of our meals but there were still things that were off on the preparation of the food and really nothing lived up to its price tag. I will try one more time but it might be a little while before that happens. read more

I always feel good about myself when I walk through the doors to Bounty - mostly because everything on the menu is good for you, organic, fresh, and delicious so you always leave feeling like you just pampered your body. I love the not fried spicy chicken salad and their fresh juices. They do a good job with rotating specials and the Havana libre bowl is fab. I've order from bounty kitchen every few weeks for the last year. Their Havana Libre bowel has been my favorite. 5/5 Over the last two months, the portion size has dropped drastically (~30-40%) on some orders and they increased the price slightly. I used to justify the $15+ price tag because I could get two meals out of a bowl if I rationed. Now the price per amount of food is pretty bad. I only got 3/4 a meal out of my last order. I have to find a new healthy restaurant unless they get their order consistency back to the way it was read more

My husband was a weary at first because he read it was vegan place and loves his meat, but they actually have a few non-vegetarian or vegan choices on the menu.
