I attended the Mardi Gras festivities the late afternoon of 2/17/26 with another Yelp Elite. Great service from bartender Audrey. Her cocktails were strong. Cosmopolitan (5/5) Hurricane (5/5 with an extra shot of spicy rum) I am a very picky eater and enjoyed almost all the food here. We ordered appetizers from both the Mardi Gras and regular menu. The desserts were solely from the Mardi Gras menu. On Tuesdays, the appetizers are Buy One Get One Free My rating system: 1/5 = I didn't like it 2/5= It was mediocre 4/5= I liked it 5/5= I loved it Mardi Gras Menu: Shrimp and Grits (4/5) Short Rib Boudin (2/5) per my dining partner. I did not partake. Nola Beignets (1/5) King Cake Cupcakes (5/5) Regular Menu Appetizer: BBQ Shrimp (5/5) Blackened Tuna (5/5) Side of Cornbread (5/5 with the cinnamon butter) Upstairs is a rooftop restaurant where Events are held. The prices are amazingly affordable with the Groupon app.

My family hosted a birthday party for our daughter at Bourbon Street earlier this year in the Magnolia South room. Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend Bourbon Street. Service It was very simple to reserve an event room and the team was easy to work with. We signed a straightforward contract and about a week prior we confirmed food options and headcount. We were allowed to decorate the space about 2 hours before the start of the event. Our team was helpful and accommodating. We had custom decorations and a dessert table (catered from another vendor) and we had zero issues. Food Our guests had many compliments for the chicken sliders and shrimp apps. The short ribs were also complimented! We had plenty and again, all went well. Great, longstanding spot.

I don't often find myself in this part of Queens, but I stumbled across this Cajun spot and decided to give it a try on a Saturday night. I had reservations and was seated right away. The restaurant was comfortably full without being too loud, and I loved the New Orleans-inspired art that gives the space a fun, colorful vibe. The menu is extensive, and they also offer a solid lineup of daily specials. A lot of the dishes lean spicy, and they aren't able to adjust heat levels, which limited my options a bit -- but there was still plenty to choose from. Weekday specials stay consistent, while weekend specials rotate, and there were far more than just one or two. Service was mixed. The hostess and owner were very attentive, but our server disappeared for long stretches. At one point, another waiter brought bread to the table and I assumed he was our server -- he seemed a little put off when I asked him a question. Just a bit of an odd interaction. One thing I really liked: the bread basket. It came with a fun mix of breads : regular bread, cornbread, and a cheddar biscuit, plus a pecan butter that felt distinctly Southern and really unique. What threw me off a bit was how inconsistent the appetizer portions were. Some looked like true apps, while others were definitely entrée-sized. I ordered the mussels frites and it was absolutely an entrée; no sides needed, and I still didn't finish it. For the price, the portion was an excellent value -- honestly bigger than some of the main dishes I saw going out. The fries were great: super crispy, hot, and fluffy inside. My friend had the Mac Attack burger, which came with thick-cut bacon and warm mac and cheese on top. Definitely a beast of a burger. Overall, this spot has some quirks, but good food, great portions, and a nice atmosphere. I'd come back, especially to explore more of the specials.

Here's a mainstay on Bell Blvd. that's been serving reliable drink and food for many years. We went in recently and found that it's still a dependable local lunch or dinner spot. The Bandits old-fashioned was very tasty as was their margarita (and both under $17!). The bacon jam burger special was perfectly cooked (medium rare for me), with a fried egg on top and bacon jam was a wonderful blend of sweet and savory that elevated the dish, accompanied by fries that were crispy and hot. Their sweet chili salmon was fresh and had a very nice chili glaze. We topped it off with the (very large!) hot fudge ice cream sundae. Our waitress Sophia was very friendly and personable, and service was quick and efficient. The old-school bar vibe was fun, and I'm sure it's much more lively during dinnertime service. It's been here a long time, and continues to be a solid choice for locals.

Came here for brunch with my mom and gf. I give a 5/5 star for the service. Victoria was very sweet to us and attentive. Amazing service! We ordered 1 bottomless brunch and steak and eggs, beef sliders, and southern sweet hash and eggs. Steak and eggs were very solid and would get again, sliders were also very solid, souther sweet hash and eggs was very very very sweet. The pulled pork and sweet potatoes was not a great combination for me. Next time I will avoid this. I would like to try their Utopia burger Overall I would come back again for brunch.

2/17/26. My cosmo was on point. Enjoyed the BBQ Shrimp, Shrimp/Grits and the tuna. I would pass on the short rib balls/boudin, cupcake and beignets though. Great place to be especially on Fat Tuesday! Audrey and Laura were great at the bar.

I love the food here! Best prime rib deal on Mondays! Best rib eye sandwich I've ever had! Guiness on tap! This is a local gem! Don't sleep on the foot! Love the mussels too! They even have a lobster special on tuesdays!

Omg, so what can I say. Both Elena and Peter were so helpful planning my daughter's engagement party. Very easy going, accommodated any dietary restrictions, and even allowed for me to bring in a cake with no problem. Can't say enough about the staff either, very accommodating and always helped with any issues. Thank you for making this surprise engagement brunch party as planned

This was an experience! We came in here for Saturday brunch and we were very impressed, from the portion sizes, to the service, a great time. The place wasn't too packed and we got to enjoy the unlimited drink options. There's tons of beads, food and Nola inspired decor, which was a nice touch. Would definitely come back here for happy hour or dinner to experience their other menus.

Reservations are highly recommended. A lot of my mom friends rave about this place and I got to dine here twice with them, once for brunch and the other for dinner. The first time I came here was with my child for brunch. I got a mocktail and we ordered chicken and waffles along the unadvertised kids menu containing chicken fingers and fries. Portions for both dishes were generous and took home the leftovers. We also shared the Brussels sprouts and the infamois complimentary bread, which were really good. The second and most recent time we went was for dinner with the a huge group of moms. We shared the Caesar salad, Brussels sprouts, and general two's cauliflower, which was amazing. I had the red sangria and a taste of the Huckleberry lemonade, drinks were strong. For the entrees I ordered the salmon and once again portion was huge, took it home and the hubby ate the leftovers. Other moms ordered the frose, spicy paloma, le poulet and spicy Rigatoni. At the end we had key lime pie which tasted great but I was too full to finish it. I had the tea experience with Black Velvet and it was just what I needed. I'll admit that the licorice and peppermint were very faint, but it was still a tasty tea and sharing a large pot with my partner, we finished the whole thing. My MIL loved her ginger peach tea, and my friends each enjoyed theirs, one getting his go-to peppermint and the other trying the red raspberry and remarking in how pleased she was with her choice. Lesson learned- if you come here and DON'T get tea (with the adorable teapot, teacup and saucer, all charmingly mismatched) you're doing it wrong. Because I'm weird, I just ordered the Irish soda bread with a dish of whipped cream as a "light" breakfast, and I appreciated that the server humored me to the fullest. My partner had a blueberry muffin that he was super pleased with, probably his favorite that he's found in the area so far. My MIL unabashedly devoured her chicken salad sandwich and the potato salad it came with - usually she's picky so that's quite the endorsement. The avocado toast and burger that my friends ordered all looked fantastic too. Great service, delicious food and tea, and very good prices- next visit will be for the live music!

The menu has very detailed, almost elevated descriptions that make everything sound spectacular, but in practice the flavors don't quite come through, especially the sauces, which are barely noticeable. Our server was flexible when we asked to swap the potato chips for fries on the kids' grilled cheese meal, which we appreciated. However, we were then charged $1.40 for a side of ranch for the fries. I understand they have a range of specialty sauces and dips that are clearly priced on the menu, but that still felt steep for ranch. They also offer a combo option to add fries for $5, but the portion doesn't really feel aligned with the price. The steak sandwich itself was surprisingly tender, even though it looked like it might be tough. That said, I couldn't taste the roasted red pepper sauce, and the "sweet onion jam" turned out to just be caramelized onions. My mother actually ended up picking them out because she doesn't eat onions. (she won't eat onions that she can see) The buffalo cauliflower was tasty, but could have been crispier. The "serves two" description also felt a bit generous given the small portion. I also ordered a brisket sandwich to go with fries. The coleslaw sounded great on the menu, but in reality the flavors didn't stand out, no real hint of jalapeño, just a fairly standard slaw. Overall, the food descriptions felt more impressive than the actual execution, though the to-go fries portion was more generous, which was a nice surprise. Would I go back? I'm not sure. Maybe for a casual visit with a few beers and fries with an assortment of dipping sauces...I am a sucker for those.
