I have 2 doodles and both of them attended Karma Dog puppy class that took place at this facilities. Naturally when I looked into day care, this was one of the places that I considered due to how big and roomy the facilities is compared to other doggy day cares in the area. It's not cheap but for my babies? Totally worth it. This review only reflect the daycare as I have not boarded the boys here yet. My youngest 11 month old Scooby is 60 lbs (as of 2 weeks ago) of pure strength and eagerness to play and I could tell he absolutely loves it here. The moment the harness is put on him in the morning, he is wagging his tail all the way from the elevator to BWB. When I watch him enter the park from the parking lot, he runs for the bone pool and is wet within seconds. He comes back to us completely exhausted at the end of the day and there has not been a time after I picked him that he voluntarily got into the car. I have not figured out whether it's from a lack of energy or just being the reluctant pup he can be on going home with old boring mommy. My older boy Busby is the sensitive one....he's half the size of his younger brother and constantly needs human love and attention. He hates being surrounded by bigger dogs as he was bitten before and gets a little anxious. I was worried about him coming to BWB as I did not want him to get overwhelmed or stressed out with the number of dogs here. He seems to be doing well, though. All the dogs go through a social evaluation before being admitted and even though that doesn't eliminate 100% of Busby's stress, it certainly relieves some of my concerns for overly aggressive dogs that might pick on my little momma's boy. I see him being timid when entering the park in the morning but usually when I pick him up, he's more relaxed and completely drenched - he goes for the pool, too! I see him begging for attention from the handlers and I see them patting him in return. I also noticed that Busby is no longer timid by guys like he used to be for whatever reason. He is braver when we take him out on walks and will allow himself to be adored by everyone (not just cute girls). This alone could not make me happier as a mom. The handlers that I've come across all seemed to have a good balance of love and sternness (hey, when you got 20 dogs hovering the gate, you have to be able to handle yourself). The trainers that took the boys for evaluation were Kyle and Peter and they both were super chill and nice, as are the staff in the front. They see me and remember Scooby and Busby's names after the very first time we came in after evaluation - this is the way to keep your costumers! Why the heck would I bring my dogs here if you can't even remember their names? Bow Wow calls out my boys names every time we come and that is all that matters to me. I constantly wait for the afternoon hours when they email me pictures of the boys and it cheers me up at work before going to pick them up. They also have a web cam but it does not work for me at the office. BWB has been around for 10 years and now has specials going on all through the summer. They also keep their Facebook page updated with super duper cute pictures of all their day care attendees. Seriously, can I be any more in love? read more

I LOVE Bow Wow Bungalow....but not as much as my chocolate lab, Kayce, does :) I've been a loyal customer for well over 8 years and I wouldn't think of taking my dogs elsewhere. Although I always knew this was an amazing place, it was a tragic event that fully solidified my business moving forward. While my partner and I were on vacation in Mexico, our black lab (Scout) and our beagle (Buddy) were at the Bungalow. Unfortunately and unbeknownst to us prior, Scout had a tumor on her liver. We received a call from the staff advising us that Scout was not acting normal and was in distress. They asked for permission to take her to the emergency vet. When we received the diagnosis, we immediately boarded a plane back to LAX. Peter, and the entire staff, handled Scout and Buddy just as if it were their own dogs. Although we unfortunately lost Scout later that night, my heart was warmed knowing that she was never alone and both she and Buddy were surrounded by loving hearts and hands through it all. I'll never be able to fully repay my gratitude, but my continuing business is a start. I've sent many of my friends, and even people I've met out and about, to the Bungalow. Kayce, literally, goes crazy when we turn on the street and she knows it's about to be play time. I love watching her play on the webcams and have NEVER even remotely had a concern about the welfare of my dogs while in the care of the staff. Even after selling my home and moving 10 miles further away, I still only take Kayce to the Bungalow. Although I'm sure there are other great places out there, I wouldn't think of going elsewhere. Yep, I am done with this place. I have a gallon container that I keep my dog's food in, and it was almost full when I brought it, so WAY more than enough to last a week. She generally eats a half cup in the morning and a half cup at night. I told the receptionist ladies that she sometimes doesn't eat before I leave for work and they said "oh, she's a grazer, that's fine." But when I went to pick her up the lady at the counter said "we have to charge you for feeding her our food, we ran out of yours." I was shocked that they had gone through a gallon's worth of food and asked how that happened, and the reply was that since she didn't eat breakfast they THREW IT AWAY and tried to feed her lunch. First of all it is DRY FOOD, there was no reason to throw it away if she didn't immediately gobble it down. Second, they should have known this was normal since I warned them in advance - and when I warned them, they should have TOLD ME that this was standard procedure when dogs don't eat breakfast. And third, going back to my original complaint of bad communication, they made ZERO attempt to contact me and ask if anything they were doing was acceptable. They shamelessly wasted my food and wasted my money. They only reason they have two stars instead of one is that my dog was not physically injured when I picked her up. read more

My dog got genital warts on his tongue after staying there. He had no other interaction with other dogs outside of Bow Wow - no dog parks, no playdates... so it's more than likely he was infected there. If you can't visualize it, just imagine genital warts but on my dog's tongue. It's also stupid expensive to have them removed. To be fair, you don't have to remove them. But the Vet explained to me that if I didn't have the genital warts removed from my dog's tongue then my dog would still have genital warts on his tongue. So if you want your dog to get genital warts on its mouth and bring shame to your family, Bow Wow is the place for you and your dog. Oh, and the people at the front desk are wildly incompetent, too. They messed up my dogs feeding - giving him twice as much food and then not having enough to feed him for the rest of his stay. And one time canceled my stay we few days before drop off because of a "miscommunication". And also my dog got genital warts on his tongue. read more

I can't say more about how much we (and Valkyrie) LOVE going to "school" and daycare at Bow Wow. Valkyrie has been going to Bow Wow since she was a cute "little" four month old German Shepherd. She was an absolute TERROR!!! Biting, scratching, running away, jumping on our two year old and just generally doing every puppy thing she could think of! To add to it, we have a two year old and newborn so we had to get help and more attention to our 3rd "baby". Over the past five months, Bow Wow has literally transformed Valkrie into a loving, trained and "mostly" well behaved German Shepherd toddler. She walks like an angel, ignores other barking dogs, listens and has become a sibling to our two kids. Even though I wouldn't leave her alone with the kids just for piece of mind at this age - she is kind and gentle with both of them. Darion is the lead trainer at Bow Wow and after we went through FOUR other trainers - I would recommend him above anyone else! He is literally the "dog whisperer" of Burbank. They worked with us to have Valkrie trained first weekly at Bow Wow (for a great price too) and most importantly trained US how to train her instead of only training her. Many other trainers that we worked with focused much more on the dog instead of helping us learn how to be better trainers ourselves. Valkyrie is at daycare 5 days per week along with our two kids now and it is SO good for her. We are constantly getting photos of her playing with her "buddies" and the place is literally like Doggie Disneyland. They are kind enough to dry her off before she comes home but I know she lives in their awesome water features which she LOVES! Best of all - with two kids I know I can't run her out as much as a puppy needs - especially a German Shepherd working dog! She comes home each day from Bow Wow WIPED OUT!!! Lastly, I can't say enough about everyone who works there. They manage to hire the nicest, most awesome people. Everyone from the front desk staff who know you by name (or your dog's name) and have waited with Valkyrie patiently for my 2 year old son to use the restroom AGAIN to the people in the yard who come out to my car to get her almost everyday so I don't have to unload the kids to bring her inside. The director Leilani has been SO accommodating to our family. She has gone way out of her way to customize packages for Valkyries needs and always calls right back - even if it's late at night. The whole place is just such a gift to have so close by. We and Valkyrie are so thankful for everyone there. I almost forgot - they have a screaming deal on bathing your dog which is a back saver and SO convenient. Don't miss out! read more

I will say this, much better day care than our kids had! Pools, waterfalls nice turf everywhere. My experience has been, friendly staff, all very dog friendly. Very organized, once they have you on file, just drop off and pick up it's really that easy for those of us that have long commutes its great! My evaluation was done by knowledgeable individual, with Cesar Millan psychology methodology. I'm new here, I don't stand out anymore than anyone else and the staff knows my dog, there is no "which gog is that?" shows that its just not a large back yard with dogs packed into it. The video camera feeds are fast so I can check from work almost in real time, not slow feed slide show. All the better when I later found out there is an iphone app for this! Finally, my dog is well socialized with other dogs, when i pick her up she's ready for dinner and cuddle up next to the family and rest. No more tree branches brought into the house, birds or the neighbors cat. That's awesome! read more

I would give a better review if I had actually experienced day care. There are definitely problems at reception desk, both on the phone and in person. I've been communicating by phone, email, and finally in person without much luck. I'd provided proof of vaccinations for both my dogs, by email and in person. I called the day before to find out if I needed to make a reservation, etc., as it would be the first time there. I was told, "no, just come in". Upon arrival, one very nice handler came to help me with my 2 dogs, both of which were very excited and difficult at that point to handle alone. (75 & 60 lb golden retrievers). Luckily I had brought my dog's info binder with all their records. They showed no record of one's vaccines and only partial of the other's. I had sent new records for one just yesterday and it had never been added to their system. The handlers (two by now) took the girls back to the big play yard after asking one of the receptionists if they were ok to go. They both disappeared into a play yard and I am left still answering questions and pulling copies of vet records for them. They give all the papers back, and then one of them says she needs records of their flea/tick meds. I told her she just had them on the papers I gave her. She then remarked, "well you didn't tell me"; I said, you didn't ask! All she had to do was read, it was all right there. After that came the final part of this drama; the other receptionist looks up and says, "oh wait, Ellie hasn't passed a temperment evaluation". I couldn't believe it, I told her neither dog had passed an evaluation because neither one had been given one--it was their first visit! Remember, I'd called the day before and gone over this fact. I was told they couldn't do any evaluations until 8/22/21. Timely. So out my dogs came after 10 minutes or more of play time with other dogs. I have no idea how they did or what they did. The same two very nice handlers helped me out to the car with my girls. I mentioned to them that the place had some serious problems at the front reception; it was a total cluster-f..k. The owners need to do so hands on training and sit up front to watch this instead turning people loose to run the place. I did not make an appointment for 8/22 for an evaluation due to my schedule and secondly to the experience. I will have to give this place a lot of thought before I commit my dogs to their care. I read all the previous reviews and noticed the owners had not responded on line as many do after a complaint or compliment. Makes me wonder even more how they address issues. read more

My dog Jax and I are obsessed with Bow wow bungalow!! This place should really be called doggie Disneyland. They have a huge outdoor play area, webcams to see your pups play, big indoor yard on a rainy day, shade on sunny days, tunnels, fake rocks & mountains to play on, they even have a bone shaped swimming pool!!! It can't get any better! Every time we walk through the door we get a nice warm welcome from the most friendly staff! Jaxs tail doesn't stop wagging, he gets his cookies from the cookie jar & then eagerly waits to get inside and play with all his friends! All of the dogs there are very well socialized. I love watching him & his friends on the webcam they have! A lot of times I catch really cute moments with Jax and the handlers. The handlers are very good at what they do & always pay well attention to the dogs! Jax can be high energy at times. They let him run around to do his sprints and know when to calm him down so that way all the other dogs don't get all rowelled up. This place has downhill!! My dog has been coming here for over 2 years and we have seen a high turnover of employees. Today, Daisy was so rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. From her stating that she will tell the manager to banned me. This is what happened, I called one minute away from the place and asked if she can please grab my dog since I'm a minute away and got the half day. She rudely said 'No, I'll check you out when you get here". How rude! So, I hung up and who wouldn't. I get there and explained what I asked for them to do and she starts arguing with me and states she doesn't need to have good customer service. I learned a long time a go to humble down because CUSTOMERS ARE THE ONES WHO PAY FOR YOUR WAGE. No-one knows what they are doing with your dog and the only reason why i was still using them was for the pool but they don't change the water anymore and my dog smells like crap. read more

I am so thankful for this doggy day camp! My energetic, curious, scary smart puppy love this puppy Disneyland. She perks up every time she hears the word "day camp". The staff are super friendly, the facility is clean and spacious. The rates are very reasonable and their hours are unbeatable. They're open later than most doggy day camp. My husband had concerns about taking her initially. Not knowing if our puppy will bully another dog like she does in our home. She is the youngest of our 4-some. My Rigby, (Frenchy-Pug) enjoys herself so much at the day camp that she knocks out in the car after pick up and we only live 5 minutes away. She's more social and she's stopped picking on our older (not to mention) smaller dogs. Rigby and I gives this place 4-paws up and a waggy tail!!!! read more

Kahi LOVES it here. It's almost too bad I moved to Koreatown, but I'm still going to attempt to bring her once every week or 2 and board her when I go out of town. The prices are a bit much, but when it comes to my pup, the care and the socialization is worth it. The staff is friendly and the dogs just seem like they have a good time with each other and them. I love how regulars get on a pup's name basis, too. One day we'll get there. We've only been a few times. Great doggie daycare, great people. I've been bringing my dogs here since they were babies. The space is great, they have a large outdoor area with a pool and a large indoor area for when its raining with a waterfall. There is always at least 2 people watching the dogs and the people there are very caring and true animal lovers. I will not being my pup here again! I was looking for a new daycare for my seven month old and was really excited about finding this place. They asked me to bring my pup in for a temperament assessment and I did just that. The first red flag was when I asked to tour the facility. Immediately I was told that wasn't allowed but that they were looking into it for the future. I got no other explanation as to why I was not allowed to tour the place. They took my dog back and immediately told me he did great and should stay for a few hours. I left him behind and picked him up a few hours later only to find out they hadn't fed him (they told me they would even though they typically didn't do that on assessment day) and he had been bitten by another dog. When I asked about it, the girl who brought him to me shrugged it off saying she didn't know what happened and walked away. I was absolutely appalled by their lack of attention to my pup. Not only was he bitten, but every time I checked on him on their cameras he was being bugged by multiple dogs. At no point did I see the handlers split it up or even get close for that fact. Now I found a place both my pup and I absolutely love. The trainers are very attentive and proactive. Such a huge difference in care and attention between this place and the new place. Never again will my pup return to this daycare. read more

My roommate turned me on to Bow Wow Bungalow. My dog is about 5... not young but not too old...however, doesn't really need to go to daycare. She likes to sleep and chill out. I figured I would take her for an evaluation just so I could have the option of taking her if I knew I had a busy week. When she had her evaluation she was a little shy but they took such good care of her and made her feel right at home. She passed the test with flying colors and I left her for the rest of the day. It was the BEST THING EVER to watch her on the camera. She was running around, making friends, and laying in the sun. I definitely will continue to take her to Bow Wow when I need her to go but mainly when she wants to go! She'll tell me ;) Thank you Bow Wow Bungalow for taking care of my baby. Would like to update my previous review since that my dog has since developed ringworm from his stay in addition to his bad kennel cough (and the doctor also suspects bacterial or viral caused acute pancreatitis). When I told the owner about my dogs kennel cough experience he said "this never happens." But I spoke with other patrons of this place who told me their dogs have developed kennel cough on multiple occasions after staying here. Bow Wow clearly doesn't clean their facilities properly and it's overbooked and understaffed. Since taking my dog here, it's been a 3 week nightmare of health problems. read more

My little Yorkie "Bivens" wasn't a big fan but it wasn't because of the environment but more so because I spoiled him so he couldn't stand being a way from me. However, I recently got a Lab retriever "Brooklyn" and have to say that this is probably her favorite place on earth. The folks at BWB are great. They keep the dogs well balanced. They do not tolerate aggression so I feel so safe when I take my little big Brooklyn there. They keep the place clean at all times which I love. I like the daycare and my dog comes home tired. I only wish the front desk staff was more friendly and cared about the customers when they come in. Most of them dont smile or greet you. They rarely look up from what ever they are doing on their phone or computer (looks like games or FB). When they do look up they are kinda grumpy. We are all tired and trying to get to work, a smile and hello would be nice. I would also like getting my dog in and out a bit more efficient, other dog care places have people ready by the door to get your dog into the yard in the mornings, BWB takes 3-5 mins while you wait in the lobby with other dogs barking and going crazy. I started bringing my akita and shiba for day care so they wouldn't become shocked during their 6 day boarding. They were great during their evaluations but when it came time for our vacation, our akita acted out against other dogs and wasn't allowed to hang out with the others. He became extremely stressed out and was dehydrated due to diarrhea. All in all, he wasn't happy. Thankfully, Leilani texted us everyday reassuring us that he was okay. She made sure he had one on one time with the staff members so he wasn't in a kennel the entire time. They even had a vet see him to provide the necessary meds and let us pick up our dogs past closing time at 10:30pm! After boarding was over Leilani texted us the day after to see if our dogs were okay. Even though BWB's environment was not fit for our dogs, they do everything in their power to make sure the dogs are healthy, happy, and safe. read more

Our puppy girl loves going to Day Camp. And this truly is a camp because she comes back with a giant smile and then immediately passes out in the car. The location is great, right by the Burbank Airport, and the staff is wonderful. They know all the dogs names by heart. We have only been going for a couple of weeks, but on day 1 they already know my dog by name. Truly a gem and it takes a lot of stress off of my day knowing that she is basically playing at a dog park all day. read more

I found Bow Wow because my best friend took his dogs there for years, I also have other friends that go there as well that I have referred. We have been going there over 6 months. I won't be returning after this. I came to pick up my doggo after an overnight to find him not visible in the cameras. After a time before when I noticed worried I called and they said that he was totally fine, but got a little hyper in play time so they put him in time out. Completely understandable because they are dogs and it happens, so I just told them "oh no problem could you guys give me a call next time just so I am aware of this and they said sure no problem!" Because if it was problem I would be training with him more because I would know it was an issue. That being said my dog does great with all dogs, we go to the park multiple times a week with many dogs and never any issues at all*. If a dog doesn't want to play back, he will ignore them. If they do want to play he will play at the same level never more or less. Anyway so after returning this time to not seeing him in the camera I asked front desk if she knew he was okay because last time I didn't see him in the cameras there was an issue. And she said "oh yeah I'm sure he was great" because the staff are always very friendly I will give them that and so I said well could you ask for me, I would like to know for sure. So when the lady came around with Ricky, the front asked and she goes "oh well he was fine, but we just had to put him away 3 or 4* times, but it wasn't just him it was other dogs." I was shocked to hear this in a one night boarding of him being there when I paid 65 bucks for him to be out with the other dogs playing as he always does. I didn't recieve one* phone call. And I was local working, so at any time I could of came and picked him up if I was informed. How often do they do this to your dog? Aren't these people suppose to be good with dogs? I'm telling you he has never had one issue out in public or at a dog park so something is up this place. Even as appealing as it looks. After already talking to other friends they have noticed their dogs not in cameras a times as well* but they didn't think much of it. Well I did and very upset with the response from the staff from very simple instructions and how the situations were handled. I could take him anywhere else if I just wanted to pay them that much to keep him in a kennel for the time he had there. As appealing as this place is, I believe they are deceiving customers from actual information of how your dogs stay is there past your knowledge of dropping him at the desk. I will be passing this information on. I already found a place twice as nice half the price and they offered me a free tour when I bring Ricky in. Bow Wow never offered a tour, just showed cameras ? Suspicious..I think so. Also this new place even cameras in the sleeping quarters so you can check on your dog any time at night while he's sleeping. They even have presidential suites! Going out of town is nerve wrecking enough but our furbaby Sadie Biscuit gets SOOOO excited when we bring her here! She absolutely loves it! The staff is amazing and nice. The facility is spacious, safe and the fact that they have video cameras to view the animals is a big plus. They also have an option of giving our pup a bath and nail clipping (for an extra charge) before we pick her up so she's nice and ready to come home with us. This saddens me to write this review but I feel like it has to be done. I actually never write bad reviews on yelp which you can verify on my profile. We are fairly new customers to Bow Wow and in the beginning everything was great. The first real experience was just one night of boarding and our dog daisy was happy when she was picked up. Recently though the last experience was so poor. Our family recently took a vacation which required our dog to stay with Bow Wow for five days. At drop off, I provided clear instructions for her food and which I repeated a few times. The young girl at the front desk said she got it so I thought nothing of it. At pick up, we were provided her food container back in which to our surprise was still half full. Right away I said something to the front desk. After doing some research, bow wow wrote the instructions wrong and were only giving her half her food at every meal. Our dog by the way is a 55 pound yellow lab so it's not a little dog. All bow wow did was say sorry and said they would update their records. Okay ,whatever. The big issue is after getting our dog back she developed eye infections in both of her eyes. She has never been sickly and we were surprised by this. Our dog is kept indoors at home and has never had issues with her eyes. After contacting bow wow again all they did was basically "sorry not sorry" and even referred to the agreement we signed so they are not liable. All I can say I am super disappointed with the lack of responsibility and compassion. I would understood if this place was cheap and dirty but they pride themselves on being upscale. My family will not be returning. read more

Bow Wow Bungalow is the best doggy day care! I am taking my doberman Sofie there almost every day for a couple of hours to run and play with other puppies. She is learning to play not too rough but enough to burn her super energy. The staff is VERY professional and they really love dogs. Taking Sofie there is one of the best decisions I've made. I just love taking my dog there. The people are so good to my dog and to me. I am so grateful how much grace they show and give me especially when I'm running late (most of the time :)). This is my go to when I need boarding or a fun day for my pup. I did not give them a full 5 stars as my pup has gotten sick here a few times. I was conflicted saying this as I can imagine how difficult it must be to control this. I am just now more mindful if there is a bug going around to avoid taking him there. read more

I was looking for a doggie daycare for my dog, Reilly, because she needed more socialization. My hubby and I are a little crazy about our pets (okay, me more than him) and wanted the best place around. That's how we found Bow Wow Bungalow. It's not too far from my office, which made it even better. This place is even better in person than it is on their website. There are always a lot of staff members watching the dogs and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the web-cams. In fact, my office and I spend more time watching the dogs on the web-cams than if I just brought my dog to work! The first time I took Reilly, I was really nervous since she takes some time to warm up to people. Amazingly, she was comfortable pretty quickly with the staff members and after spending some time in the new dog/little dog pen, she was ready for general population. It takes her some time to warm up, still, but she LOVES it. It's great for her to spend time socializing without having her people there. The staff has "ball time" during the day and I eagerly wait for the day when Reilly will chase the ball along with the other dogs as she grows even more comfortable. I've seen people comment about the strict forms, etc. Although I did think it was odd to have to sign that there's a $100 fee if our dog goes potty in the pool (how can we as owners control that?!?!), it's not the end of the world. There are always regulations and I'm fine signing and agreeing to some stricter rules just to have the best experience possible for my dog. Some of the other places I researched were awful--no toys and the dogs were in a cement block room. (Not great to help with potty training either, encouraging them to "go" inside...) Bow Wow Bungalow is FANTASTIC and I only wish they took cats, too! read more
