Super friendly service. The guy at the counter was great! The sandwiches are perfect for the beach. We grabbed a container of their Greek style pasta salad, it's defiantly made fresh and not some mass produced product. Sad!!! Ordered lobster wrap and lobster Mac and cheese. Watched them cut part of the lobster salad that was supposed to go in my lobster roll and throw in my lobster Mac and cheese. Pretty skimpy in lobster either way. $32 for small roll and small cup of Mac and cheese. Come to cape every year. Worst lobster roll I can remember. read more

Maybe it's because I am from the San Francisco bay area and we are resolute foodies, that I didn't find this place impressive. Let's start with the positive: 1) love the idea of quick beach wraps in a coastal community. That was it. If we get to the sandwich itself, "where's the beef?" The sando's are small, simple, and lacking flavor or vision. They will do the job, but next year I am compelled to bring some of our local gourmet aioli's so I can SPREAD the love at the Lunch Box. I am not shutting this place out completely, I just see an extraordinary opportunity for a true tasty sando shop on the cape. read more

This location does not have the same standards of the Wellfleet location. Food is good, speed and courteousness are both lacking here. Went to this location on 2 different occasions on this visit to the Cape. Both times waited over 10 mins for a basic sandwich to go. read more

We stopped here after being assaulted by the management of the Cape Colony Inn, which prompted us to leave Provincetown in a hurry. We were pretty bummed out, having just gotten engaged the night before and having our vacation spoiled by some racist idiots. We stopped here on our way out of town and Wow, so glad we did. First, the gluten-free wraps were DELICIOUS and I am *not* a "wrap" person generally speaking, so was a bit skeptical. The ingredients were fresh and tasty - like I'm still thinking about them a week later fresh and tasty! I have a severe gluten allergy and the care they took in prepping the food really showed, and I enjoyed my sandwich later that afternoon at the beach with no gluten allergy reaction, my new fiancee, and some seals playing in the surf at the Cape Cod seashore. I also just want to thank the staff who was working that day for being so wonderful and nice to my fiancee. They were really a bright spot on a pretty difficult day, and helped remind her and us how lucky we are to have found each other and that there's a lot of good people out there! Best lunch place in the Cape! Frank the owner is absolutely awesome, the rollwiches are great and reasonably priced. Box Lunch is a better cheaper version of Subway. Don't listen to the snowflakes that say otherwise! read more

Ordered the chicken parm and it was as fresh as can be. Menu is creative and there is something for everyone. Also got the clam chowder with it which wasn't very good but for the price this place is a great spot for a quick lunch in an area with not many convenient and fast food establishments. read more

What a disappointment! Salad with "roasted beets" were direct from the can, not roasted. The $4 extra for "seafood" was the fake krab ! For an establishment on the cape, next to a fresh fish market ... I am left speechless. read more

The service at the Truro Box Lunch is prompt but the people tend to be rude. I was astonished the other day when the woman at the register did not offer me the change I was owed. When I said, "I guess you are not going to give my 65 cents," she did not respond. The other customers rolled their eyes. I was planning to add the 65 cents to the dollar I was putting in the tip jar. Rude. From now on I will drive to box lunch in wellfleet, where they are friendly and offer you your change. read more

We headed out a few days early for the long Memorial Day weekend. New owners now operate the Box Lunch. We ordered lobster roll and BLT sandwiches. They were spot on fresh and delicious. The place was clean staff friendly and service was very quick. Definitely going back this weekend. read more
