Save your energy and money, support local…read more My recent experience at this Big O Tires started with hope for a straightforward service--new tires and an oil change. Let me tell you about both. The Tire Service: When I called to book the appointment, I explicitly stated which tires I wanted (Michelin Defender 2s) and was told they would figure out the sizing when I arrived. Despite having three days to look up my vehicle information, they didn't have the right tires in stock. The guy was like, "hey you gave me the wrong tire size and we don't have those". wtf?? I have never in my life given someone a tire size. Until today I thought it was either L or XL. He wrote the wrong size and tried to gaslight me then told me if to come back the next day if I still wanted the tires. I declined and said I would just get the oil change but he called the warehouse and said if I give them an additional 1.5 hrs, they would get could get the tires. I mean, ok...he was so proud of himself like he problem-solved world hunger--it's his job and scrambling to correct a mistake he made is the bare minimum. To make matters worse, the workmanship was sloppy. After installation, I checked my tire pressure (avg 33/34 PSI) and found the PSI ranging between 38-40. I mean, it's a tire shop where you would a professional experience with no mistakes to the tires. Oh then they tried to add a $155 "lifetime tire warranty" or something fee to my bill and I had them take it off. Buyer beware and double-check your invoice. The Oil Change & Inspection: The service was just as frustrating. I was promised a "20-point inspection," yet I left with zero paperwork documenting it and no service sticker in my car to track my next mileage interval. When I called to follow up, I was told someone would call me back in 10 minutes; they never did. When I called back half an hour later, I was told my brake fluid was low--information I should have been given in person so I could have it addressed immediately. When I asked for a copy of the inspection report, I was told they couldn't email or "fax" (?) it because he only had a physical copy and that I would have to drive back to pick it up, which is absurdly inconvenient. I mean, take a pic and text it. Pretty standard. Bottom Line: The only "pros" are that the staff was polite and the online appointment system works. Beyond that, the lack of organization, the hidden fees, and the failure to perform basic professional checks make this place not worth your time or money. Save yourself the headache and support a local shop instead.
