The chimichurri was a type that I had never tried before and was actually a little spicy and creamier than others that I have tried. The combo plate ended up being four different skewers, rice, and beans. The skewers included one steak, one chicken, one shrimp and one fish. The service was very slow, which I understand they are short staffed. We split the coxhina and pastels for appetizers. The beef pastel was better flavored than the chicken. Chef Jorge, you are a Godsend to South Grand Boulevard. I was introduced to this restaurant on two separate occasions (because I had forgot that I was previously introduced to it the first time). And both of my "first" times here, I was completely blown away. The first time, I went for their AYCE sunday brunch during a big meal that I had with one of my housemates and her extended family who was in town. The food was delicious and worth every penny. The second "first" time, I went for dinner with a friend and her family as they were in town to her celebrating a new job. The waiter was excellent and ran down the entire menu in almost one breath. They also had specials that evening, which is what our table decided to go with. We started with their starter sampler that has either 4-6 of a few of the appetizers that they have. I would suggest this for anyone who is going with a party of 4 or more. It was a great way for each of us to try a bit of the menu without 100% committing to one dish. Then I had their rack of lamb, which was a special of the evening. Truthfully, I have to say that that was some of the best lamb I had ever had. It was perfectly cooked and well seasoned, full of flavor. I usually eat a lot and rarely, if ever, have leftovers to take back home. I have high standards when it comes to Brazilian cuisine, and this restaurant did not come close to meeting them. The "feijoada" seemed like they pre-cook their black beans and add a little more fatty meat. The pastel smelled bad...like they used old oil in the fryer. Their caipirinha was WEAK. I have to admit that I wasn't expecting to find such a good Brazilian restaurant in suburban Missouri. When the COVID-19 pandemic is behind us, I will take a trip to St. Louis, just to have dinner at Brasilia again. The two items on the menu that I enjoy the most are the vatapa de frango (grilled chicken in a cashew gravy) and the bobo de camarao (shrimp in a seasoned yucca sauce). Both dishes pair well with a side of rice. The assortment of appetizers can be a small meal in itself. The coxinha and the pastel de frango stand out for the generous amounts of tasty chicken stuffed in them. Service is very cordial and gracious. Parking can be a pain to find in the area, so next time, I will be taking a taxi or Uber to the restaurant instead of driving. read more

2nd of 3 lunch spots I hit this week with 2 co workers while working from home this week. Never one to turn down a good deal on a lunch buffet of authentic ethinic cuisine, I was in on a blink! Not but 3 miles from home I joined my comrads about noon and found the place pretty low key, not too busy at all. For $11 bucks you have a big variety of legit Brazilian grub to pick from. Sorry for not knowing the names well but thats what the pictures are for right? The pineapple and ham entree was legit, really good! The salads and marinated veggies were on point. I highly suggest trying the soup with bok choy and chicken! Super good! The one with bacon and okra was also really tasty. The tandori chicken they had was also fall off the bone good! They had a really good black bean and potato entree with a nice kick to it I enjoyed. I need to take my 3 apartment friends who actually moved from Brazil to work at Wash U and Barnes on fellowships into this place to see how they rate the food on the buffet and the main menu. I don't have enough good things to say about this place. We came here with a group of six to celebrate a coupon that my boyfriend's dad found on the internet and from start to finish, everything was SO good. Staff were really, really nice and helped walk some of our party through the menu to see what they might like. The caipirinha were really good, pretty similar to a mojito and I love mojitos so naturally I had like three of them with my dinner. We had a tostada de camarao to split as a starter and if you love bready, toasty, garlicky delicious things, you'll want to look into these little buddies. I got the camarao ao molho branco for dinner (are you getting the shrimp theme yet) and it was a very healthy portion and a wonderful creamy time. The white wine cream sauce put everything I've ever attempted to make in my own house to shame. I would sit quietly outside of this restaurant all day in the middle of a polar vortex if it meant that at the end of the day they would give me a warm ounce of this sauce to enjoy. Not really, but it was pretty darn good. The chef came out of the kitchen to drink and toast with us after we were done eating and he was a wonderful man who looked like Captain Morgan and helped us drink the rest of our liquor. This place is alright. My wife and I came here on a weekday evening for dinner while I was in town for a conference. The food was decent (we both ordered the feijoada), however, it was the service that turned us off. The servers seem to be confused which orders went to which tables and while waiting for our appetizer to arrive, several orders came to our table which we had to wave off because they weren't ours. We then saw the servers walking around to other tables asking if they had ordered those items. Those patrons also ended up waving the orders away. Brasilia has been on my St. Louis restaurant bucket list for the longest time and I was so stoked to finally eat their brunch buffet here because it is truly one of the best restaurants in St. Louis and I do not say this lightly. Came on a Sunday morning and was the first ones there and was seated promptly. From there you kind of just pick up a plate and get whatever you want and they do come by with one stick of steak and one stick of grilled pineapple, kind of like that of a traditional Brazilian Churacussa. There are not a ton of options, but everything is made deliciously. Here are some of my favorites: - Grilled Pineapple - Pineapple is legitimately my worst favorite fruit, but the pineapple here is absolutely amazing and I found myself wanting more. They grill it so that the outside is slightly carmelized and so all the sugar is locked in and it's just a burst of flavor. - Cheese Bread - I love the little cheese breads that they had as it was very cheesy and not super heavy. - Bacon - I know it sounds weird to really like the bacon at a buffet, but this buffet makes very solid bacon. The bacon is extremely crispy, almost like a chip which is just the way I like it. Also the fat is super crispy too, like a melt in your mouth texture which I really appreciate. - Fried Plantains - The plantains were absolutely delicious because of the outside crispy caramelization and the mushy centers. - Fried Fish - The fried fish was actually really good. Usually when fish is fried, only the breading has flavor and the fish just maintains its natural flavor. But this one is quite interesting because the seasoning flavor is soaked into the fish which I very much appreciate. - Tomato, Cucumber, Bell Pepper, and Feta Salad - I'm not even joking when I'm saying this, but this is legitimately the best version of this dish that I had. All the fruits and vegetables were extremely fresh and juicy and the vinaigrette flavor penetrated the entire thing, it was quite amazing. Things that you don't necessarily have to try is the desserts which I thought were very okay and kind of sweet. Also, the salads are kind of what you would expect them to be. Overall, I cannot be happier about this place. Just as a note, they do have a 20% gratuity tip which comes out to be around $40 a person but it is honestly so worth it because the food is so phenomenal. I literally cannot wait to come back. This place was absolutely great, my brother used to work for them back when they were Café Brazil maybe 15 years ago. The same chef is putting out the same phenomenal food. The pastel is probably the simplest appetizer I've eaten in quite some time but just incredibly delicious. Very light on the dough and it almost looks like there's nothing inside if you just get the cheese but the cheese is just the right amount and holy cow did I enjoy it. I would definitely try the house hot sauce, it is more of like a minced garlic with peppers 'spread' but very good. I also had the special cheese appetizer which I cannot recall the name, but it was a square of cheese on top of chimichurri with awesome many slices of crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside bread. Three people at our table had the red snapper which was definitely delicious. I had the national dish which I very much enjoyed. I've had that before and I think for my taste buds when you mix everything together nothing really stands out but it's very tasty. Also the caipirinhas....holy crap. I love these so much the last time I had them that I immediately had to go out and buy a bottle of cachaça. Which I think I'm now going to do tonight. SUNDAY brunch w Churrasco is just as amazing as always. I think price is same as before, $20 something per person. Quality is great as always. Food is piping hot and service is great considering he's handling all the tables. They used to let you buy food by the pound for takeout during brunch but with all the inflation in food industry, not able to do it anymore. The owner is always there, greeting and chatting. I will say, the service is very good but a bit slow, so don't come in too starving, order an appetizer, caipirinha and enjoy your company. If you have never had Brazilian food before tell your waiter, he very much enjoys discussing the cuisine. I have had the bobo de camarao and feijoada (they even have a vegetarian version). Both are excellent dishes! I have also had several of their appetizers which are also phenomenal. The last time I went it was with a group of 5. Unfortunately they forgot to order my entree and when all the other entrees came, mine was not there. I had to wait for quite awhile for my entree but I have never been to restaurant where they made a wrong so right. We arrived around 7 on a Thursday evening. We were promptly seated and our server Ncenga was just WONDERFUL! Our food came out hot and promptly. We had the cheese bread. These were the real deal! Not the pre packaged crap at a Brazilian steakhouse! I had the fish skewers appetizer as my entree. The shrimp had its own sauce and the the lightly breaded flounder had its own sauce. My son had the beef medallions and loved them! The collard greens were the only greens I have ever liked. Not overcooked! Beans had the most wonderful flavor! My husband had the Seafood Paella . It was a mountain of goodness!!! The rice was so fragrant and seafood so fresh! The sausage was homemade! Dessert was chocolate flan! Also homemade! We were so impressed we brought our friends the next night. They were blown away. Get the appetizer platter but bring a crowd! All of the best dishes on one big platter! All of us came back FOR A THIRD time on Sunday for buffet. It was beyond any buffet I've ever seen. So many delicious dishes and the most delicious dessert table I've ever seen, I've seen a few! I was in the mood for paella and found this place. I ordered for Doordash delivery and was EXTREMELY disappointed in my meal. The paella was passable, but the other items ordered, were terrible. So bad, that I considered driving back to the restaurant to ask how they could let something like this out of their kitchen. The mash potatoes were watery and had the consistency of milk. The beef ribs were burned beyond recognition as meat. You can't tell from the pictures, but the meat was rock hard and actually snapped like plywood. The owner should be ashamed. Very awesome place in a cool trendy place in St Louis. Of course I went here the weekend the St Louis Blues hockey team won the Stanley Cup so it was a little crazy in the neighborhood. The food here is amazing and you can't go wrong. There were specials available which I got and were great. The meals are mainly fish and they are prepared well. Try something outside salmon or tuna if you go here. Don't forget to save room for dessert. There's cheese cakes and also other cake slices which goes well with the meal. Service was great. It might have been because of the neighborhood but it was just fun and cool. The only issue is parking. Try to find a place in the housing area behind the restaurant. I love love love this restaurant! Let me first just start off with how nice the main dining area is decorated. The walls are painted tropical colors of green and yellow and there are fans and a/c units that keep cool air flowing through the room. I took a group of coworkers for lunch and we all ate from the buffet. I tried yucca root, a delicious fish in coconut sauce, black beans with smoked meat, and a host of other dishes that I don't know the names of. Everything was delicious, drinks were never allowed to run dry. I ordered the caipirinha, the signature drink of Brazil, and it was mixed well. I would order it again. Having dinner with my boyfriend here for the first time tonight. The energy was fantastic and we were seated almost immediately. Our waiter (Gary) was amazing and very attentive GREAT JOB GARY! My boyfriend had the Brazilian soda( guarana) and it is very refreshing I would compare it to ginger ale but with a more fruit flavor and a little sweeter. Went to the $43 Sunday buffet. It was hot outside and they had the air conditioner set to 84 degrees. It was super hot inside and we almost left but decided we really wanted the Brazilian meats. They opened at 5pm we arrived there at 5pm and we started with items from the hot buffet. All ended up being fridge cold. We asked if it was supposed to be this way and they said no. The warmers were not working, but after they fixed it they did not replace the food leaving the existing food for others to eat at the risk of people getting sick. The next complaint would be that the first Brazilian meat did not come out until 5:45pm (45 minutes after sitting there waiting). and it was a super dry over cooked sausage. The African male server was extremely nice and apologetic but we decided to leave without waiting for more meat to come out. The only way we would ever try this place again is if they offered us a on the house visit (free visit) considering our horrible first experience.
