The restaurant is easy to find, and the outside is well kept. When you walk in the staff and friendly and lead you to your table. The waitress was very polite and the table was clean. Drinks were ordered, but it took a considerable amount of time to bring them out. We had been sitting at the table for 40 minutes before our order was taken. Service was slow, and the restaurant wasn't full for a lunch time crowd. Watch out for the Caesar salad, it comes drenched with dressing. We waited at least 20-30 minutes before we had the check. We pulled out our card, and the waitress says "I'm not running the card yet" and walked away for another 15 minutes. I might suggest save your money or go to a different location. read more

The Brio/Bravo restaurant chain has been around for several years. Friends and I met, as their menu online looked good for happy hour offerings. Plenty of parking and easy in/out. Happy hour takes place in the bar area only. It's a large bar area, with plenty of tables. Three love-seat couches in the area, too. The special happy hour menu has a handful of items to pick from, as well as special cocktails, wine and beer discounts. At the start, our waiter exuded a monotonous attitude and didn't seem too enthusiastic to be working. He warmed up, however, checked on us, was attentive after the rest in our party of four were there. Started with the $5 calamari. No taste. The marinara dipping sauce was good, pretty much it. The Caprese dish was good. I really liked the Chicken & Spinach Flatbread. Perfect small personal size. I like white pizzas, so I'm a fan by default. It was nicely covered with the toppings, and the green onion were crisp and fresh. By nature, I couldn't pass up the Tiramisu dessert. It was very good. Some friends wanted to meet at Bravo for HH. How do say no...they have excellent food and drink specials for HH and I knew it would be good company. They have a great bar area...really large with both bar seats and tables. We were lucky enough to snag a couple couches by the windows. They have a Maker's Mark manhattan for $5 on their Happy Hour menu. Yes please! I ordered chicken meatballs and the chicken and spinach flat bread. Both of my dishes came out mildly lukewarm. I thought the flat bread would be cooked in the wood fired pizza oven but I guess that's not accurate. The chicken meatballs were lacking in flavor and needed some seasoning. We all ordered dessert, mine was a Carmel drizzled cheesecake with anglaise. It was good. I'm not sure if they make their desserts in house but it seemed like it had. I dined at Bravo for the first time this weekend. I was actually pleasantly surprised after walking in the restaurant, noticing the uniformed waitstaff and the luxurious interior with high ceilings. What I thought was going to be a casual Italian restaurant, turned out to be more upscale than I originally imagined. The menu is pretty extensive with all your Italian favorites. I like the fact that their food and drink menu fit on one page, which saves you from having to flip through pages. I ended up ordering the lobster bisque and the chicken fra diavolo pasta. The lobster bisque was rich and creamy. It was a tad bit on the salty side, but still quite palatable. In retrospect, I probably should have ordered a salad since my main pasta dish was also pretty heavy. The fra diavolo pasta was good, but not exactly memorable. I was hoping for something a bit spicier. The pasta could have been a bit more al dente. The service was lackluster during my visit. Our waiter was polite, but service was just slow. It took awhile for him to take our orders and also to finally get the check. It wasn't a terribly busy night, but perhaps he had multiple tables to take care of and we weren't a priority. Overall, it was just an okay dining experience at Bravo. I was pleasantly surprised by the physical space, but the actual food and service were not quite as memorable. I am quite a fan! My husband and I began with splitting Lobster Bisque... the server was gracious enough to split the order between two bowls without us needing to ask. The bisque was so very creamy, and flavorful. There was the perfect amount of lobster pieces. I ordered the Penne Mediterranean which was perfect. The sauce was light while being packed full of flavor. The combination of spinach, pine nuts, and feta blended beautifully. My husband had the grilled pork chop which were accompanied with tuscan mashed potatoes. We had intended on having left overs for a midnight snack, but 'accidentally' were clean platers. I know we're just getting out of Covid restrictions but this place was sadly disappointing. After traveling all day, we wanted a good meal. This was the wrong choice for so many reasons but especially the lasagna @ $18.99. Yes, pricy for sure but the serving while large was not good. Took a few bites and never improved. My first time here was for Mother's Day brunch. I didn't really get a chance to give the experience my full attention because, well, there were a lot of families with kids that were getting my kids riled up and it's hard to get that full dining experience when you're trying to stop a three year old from throwing his fork at the neighboring toddler that's throwing crayons. ANYWAY. The interior is really pretty, a lot nicer than I was expecting. The hostess was super nice and was able to seat our party right away. Even with reservations, I find on holidays seating can take a while. And from what I could tell, they weren't crowding tables to seat as many people as possible, nothing felt cramped or claustrophobic. Our server, while clearly busy, was attentive and friendly. Bread was brought without prompting while we waited, and we weren't rushed to order. The drinks and food came out quickly. My kids enjoyed their meals, my brother said the pepperoni pizza was very good (and he knows his pizza). My french toast was really good; candied pecans, creme anglaise, mascarpone, and caramel. Food was very good but "different" than we're used to. We live in a small rural area and are used to very "traditional" Italian food created by original immigrant "grandmas". Bravo's food might reflect a different Italian region. Again, GOOD but DIFFERENT than we're used to. We arrived about 2 pm on a Saturday, so we probably missed the busiest times of the day. Parking was very good, the restaurant atmosphere was attractive and pleasant, and the service was excellent. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server, Lori, a minute later. She brought our drink order immediately, then stayed with us as we asked questions about different options. She was both knowledgeable and patient as we debated our orders. I've been here a couple of times and recently this week for my graduation luncheon celebration. The food is still as good as I remember it to be. I got my usual the Bravo chopped salad and tried a new pick two option of Shrimp risotto with salmon and it was so good that I couldn't put my fork down! I was quite full after my pick two of the salad and main dish that I didn't care for dessert. Plus they always bring the bread to the table for you to devour carbs before your real meal. This is definitely my go to Italian restaurant if I'm around the Lennox area of campus. It has enough on the menu to keep me full and satisfied. Normally, I'm a fan of consistency. That being said, the fact that Bravo seems entirely unaltered aside from its menu over the entire decade I've lived on this side of town should probably be indicative of an area of concern. The food is good. Inoffensively good. I suppose if Olive Garden ever upped its game and developed their kitchen a bit deeper, then it would be around this level. That's not entirely fair to Bravo, but it's hard to shake the idea that you're in a very manicured chain restaurant designed to encourage you to order the wine with your signature pasta dish. Part of the joy of Italian cuisine is the sauces, and my palate simply doesn't feel dazzled or challenged here. But, again, that really isn't the point of this place. If I had to take my mom somewhere safe and reliable for dinner, this is definite a venue she'd be comfortable in. The pork chops are great. I saw another review that was 3 stars and said they wanted to give it more but the price was too high; I would agree with that statement but I think the service and food was enough for the 4th star while mentioning the price. The cost was not out of the world, but $24 for a chicken parm, $30+ for a small steak, is a little elevated for the taste and portion size. The chicken Alfredo was good but not something to write home about and at $22, I would like it to have a little more flavor on the chicken or a larger portion. I am satisfied but could still eat more haha. My wife has a dairy allergy and her options were very limited but our server, Connor, was amazing and spoke with the kitchen manager a few times to make sure everything was good to go. She was able to have the Grilled Salmon Fresca without the pesto or feta. She said for being dairy free, it was pretty good ($25). The highlight was definitely Connor's service and that is what, in my opinion, was worth the 4 star over the 3 star. I had the chicken salad which was very good, but I embarrassed myself because I couldn't get enough of the breadsticks and dipping oil! I called the restaurant yesterday to see if they would sell breadsticks and dipping oil to me. I spoke with TJ and he said "we don't usually sell the breadsticks separately, but we'll work something out". I went over there, and he gave me a pan of them, with the oil!!! The food here is always good, and there's always a lot of it. Definitely a good option if you're in the area. I highly recommend the calamari, as well as anything with salmon or mashed sweet potatoes. Just be aware that they get crowded, quickly, and they're not necessarily the best at handling it. Came here with reservations through Opentable for a very special school graduation party. As expected, this place was packed to the rafters. We were seated, and then they sort of forgot about us. People who were seated well after us had drinks delivered and orders taken. Then, two semi-odd things happened: 1) we did not complain, as we were enjoying talking to family & 2) a very astute server noted we had been skipped and rallied the troops to take care of us. After much apologizing and expediting of our orders, the staff here catered to our needs in a superior and professional manner up to and including trying to comp our desserts. As our graduate has a nut allergy, we declined but thanked them for their thoughfulness. The bill came, and the entire meal was comped by Bravo. Let me repeat that...they gave us our entire family meal for free. Remember, we had not complained...they did this out of their obligation to service and professionalism. From the kitchen to the waitstaff to the managers, this place is way above average. They care, and it shows. The food is great. The parking is ample. The bar is well stocked and full of tasty cocktails. And the people make you wish you could eat here every day. Delicious, fresh cooked Italian meals! I love Bravo. You can get a high quality, home cooked Italian meal for about $10+ per entrée. Italian bread and an oil&vinegar mixture are served before you get the meal. The bread is so yummy!! Their portions are large, so even if you order a $15 entrée, there's a high probability you'll be going home with leftovers. The staff is incredibly nice, friendly, and always willing to go above and beyond. Your meal is always boxed up for you; what service!!! I love Bravo! Year after year when we eat @ Bravo, every single time the 2 of us have dined here, we consistently leave well-served and pleased with the selections. Today was no different. We arrived about 12:30, masks on of course, and were greeted & seated promptly in the spacious main dining area. Today our server was Courtney, who was both informative & helpful with menu questions, and with not only wine info but brought my date not ONE, but TWO samples of a white wine from which to make her selection. The wine list is perfectly varied (I've eaten in Italy) and we both enjoyed perfect vintages. I chose the Shrimp Scampi, which came in tossed fettuccine (menu says "spaghetti" (incorrect) served al dente in a unique cream sauce and delightfully seasoned with robust garlic and sprinkled with fresh mozzarella and shrimp cooked to perfection. SUPERB. She chose the Spaghetti Pomodoro; served up in a unique tomato base and she gave a hearty 2-thumbs up to the dish. Both entrees arrived hot and fresh, and their accompanying bread with either hot seasoned oil or normal butter--- is not to be missed. I was stuffed, but helped my date finish off a chocolate cake dessert which was decadent. My penance begins @ sundown. Next time you visit, ask for Courtney if possible. She Rocks. We had lunch at Bravo on Olentangy River Road in Columbus, and all I can say is "Meh". My Shrimp Diavolo was ok. Plenty of shrimp, just nothing to write home about. I wanted Chicken Marsala, but the manager told me they were out of the Marsala sauce. I thought it was made from scratch. Made me think what they used came from a bottle. My husband ordered the Veal Parmesan, and it was a total disappointment. The veal was so thin, it almost looked like cheesesteak. There was so much breading he had to scrape some of it off. The way it was presented made you think there was some substance to it, but that was not the case. For $25, it was a waste of money. If you can't afford to serve a decent portion of veal to your customers, then you shouldn't offer it. We've tried Bravo a couple times before, and we won't be back. read more
