Went this morning on a trip from out of town with my mom. We ordered a classic breakfast burrito (that is supposedly "world famous"). When paying, the girl at the register was incorrectly swiping my mom's card, resulting in it getting denied even though we had more than enough funds. She was super rude about it, borderline sassy when we asked her to try again, and almost was treating us like we were trying to scam them. We paid by Apple Pay (with the same card, so it wasn't an issue on our part) which finally went through. The burrito was not good at all. Dry, flavorless, and almost sticky in a way? Would not recommend. Teach your employees to tap/use the chip on cards, and maybe to improve the customer service as well. read more

Decided to check out this place. It sounded good... I ordered a wrap with no tomatoes. When it came up, it had tomatoes. I reminded the cashier that I'd said no tomatoes. I speak Spanish, so when the cook is annoyed blaming me is pretty weak. The cook yelling at me across the restaurant whether I wanted onions totally uncalled for. I don't go out to get yelled at by anyone. When I got my remade wrap, it wasn't great. The aforementioned onions weren't grilled (they were barely cooked). Unlike the first wrap which had visible cabbage, the second one is mostly fish and onion. I guess the cook didn't want to yell at me, again, to ask about the cabbage. My companion ordered the patty melt. It was a sandwich on toast (not a melt) and had lettuce and tomatoes (traditionally not part of a melt sandwich). Not coming back here again. read more

Location was perfect! A gem amongst this shopping strip. We ordered pancakes, and breakfast plates and turkey sausage!! The fact that they had the option of turkey already made me love the place AND it was cooked perfectly! (Turkey bacon lovers know what I mean.) it's hard to get it just right! The hash browns were perfectly crispy, not burned or under cooked. The eggs, delicioso! Toast was good as well. The pancakes come in a stack of three with fresh strawberries and bananas with a dash of powdered sugar! The service was great and our food was ready FAST! This was our first time coming here even though we had been wanting to try it for a while. The coleslaw was sweet and salty to me. The fish was decent and the fries were really good (like really good and seasoned!). The pasta alfredo was good but the chicken was overcooked to the point that you could tell by the texture that they cooked it (again) too long. We may give it another try sometime in the future, but will try something from their breakfast menu. read more

I phoned in an order for pick up. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and the garlic fries. They said that it would be ready in 10 minutes so I headed over. I arrived at around 5:30pm on Saturday which was close to their closing time. I paid and waited a little bit longer, got my order and left. I thought the Philly cheesesteak was pretty good. Not sure if it would've tasted differently had I eaten it right away instead of waiting until I got home to try it but it wasn't bad. The garlic fries were pretty garlicky so that might be a good or bad thing depending on if you like garlic. I liked the fries themselves too. I don't know if I would come back again, maybe if I was craving a Philly cheesesteak. It's within walking distance to me so I would come again if it was convenient, but In N Out is in the same plaza so it'll be hard justifying going here over In N Out. read more

I just ate the soggiest breakfast burrito out of last minute hunger since they happen to be in the plaza I was at. I ordered the classic breakfast burrito, but could barely taste any of the meat. Don't expect high quality meat, probably as good as Subways next door. Hash brown was mushy. Service: -Cashier was living on her phone. -3 cooks were busy yapping loudly away. 2 had gloves on, one did not when he was cooking for his own meal on the grill (I hope). Bonus: I guess they allow customers to walk in with their dogs. Cute dog. But last time I checked, that was unsanitary. I don't know about the lunch menu but this was the worst breakfast I have ever had. I ended up only eating the potatoes. Ordered fried eggs over medium & they were cooked with yolks completely hard & eggs were like rubber with no taste. Bacon smelled horrible & had hard stringy pieces in it that could not be chewed. The toast was the thick Texas toast which I normally do like but not with breakfast. I ate the potatoes but they were so dry & once again no taste. We had got our order to go & threw it all away except the potatoes. My husband ate his eggs & potatoes since his eggs were at least cooked correctly. read more

When I went to Philly the cheesesteaks were pretty dang good. However, to be honest, I actually really liked the Cheese Steak at tiny Smarco's Grill almost as much. This review is for one thing and one thing only: the Philly Cheese Steak. The Smarco's menu is eclectic with grilled fish, kabobs, pizza, burgers, pastas, sandwiches, and tacos. I have no idea what their specialty is, but since the bright Cheese Steak sign out front is what led me in, I stuck to it. The Cheese Steak sandwich ($7.25) is prepared right behind the counter while you watch. Not only is it made fresh, but it tastes fresh. They take a sliced French Roll and lace it with Best Food's Mayonnaise. From the grill, it's stuffed with thin slices of Rib Eye Steak, sauteed Mushrooms, Bell Peppers, and Onions. Provolone Cheese completes the magic before being served hot. From the first bite to the last lick of my greasy fingers, I loved this sandwich. Hey, who needs a diet? Fahget about it. read more

A flat out fryer and grill. While it may be perfect for some, it's far from what it sounds, and even further than what I was looking for. After all, it sounds like bakery, with bread (and butter), perhaps pastry and cookies. It was not. If you happen to be going northbound on Sepulveda headed to the airport, this place could come in handy for a grilled sandwich and quick burger and fries. The ratio of meat, veggies, and cheese was very good. The guys put it on the grill after I ordered it and it took about 7-8 minutes to prepare. It was fresh and no "one" taste stood out. I had them spread some Garlic sauce on the bread, because I read that was the thing to do. Yes, this is the thing to do... At this very moment, as I type at my desk I don't feel like I ate a cow. I didn't have any fries or extras and that may be why.... hmm...
