Have driven by this area many times as it is on the way home. Have even eaten in the plaza. Always saw Bread and Butter but never stopped by until now. Ordered the breakfast tacos. They were yummy! Ordered them without cheese. They still had cheese on them when we received them but we just took it off. The tortillas do not hold the ingredients in well (in a good way). We stopped here after I picked up my parter from LAX and it was great for a quick grab and go breakfast. Very small shop with lots of outside seating. The food was very good and priced fairly. I was staying across the street for the BTS concert at sofi and needed breakfast. I saw Bread and Butter on Yelp so I decided to give their breakfast burrito a shot. It was super delicious and the salsa was good as well. I'd love to see a hotter salsa option as well though. I would recommend coming here if you're in the area. read more

The food was pretty good but we're talking about eggs/breakfast here. Two sandwiches, two sides, and drinks pretty much consumed a $50 dollar bill. The cooks behind the counter were friendly and got the food out quickly like they do at Denny's. Luckily for them, they were hired here instead. They were very nice in the way they instructed me in all the ways I could serve myself. However, the tiny, cheap aluminum tables and chairs didn't exactly enhance my $50 dining experience. On days as such, I go to this plaza because there are a number of choices. The drive thru line was too long at that famous burger place, so I decided to park and walk around. I checked out a couple of places before deciding on a sammich here. Ended up with a pastrami burger. They were quick. I was outta there in no-time. The one thing that makes this burger stand out? It's pretty darn big. But that's all. It wasn't anything extraordinary, flavorwise. And for $10 and change, I think I'm better off going to that burger joint a few feet away. Good quick breakfast place to eat. They had a large selection of food early morning. I had breakfast with my mother. I had the California Burrito with no spinach and my mother had the French toast. The burrito had great fillings: steak, hash, eggs, avocados, and cheese. The ratio of potatoes to eggs and steak was greater. They could've put more steak and eggs. The tortilla could have been wrapped a little nicer as there there were large chunks of tortilla together. On top of that, I am not a fan of large chunks of avocados in burritos. I prefer the avocados chopped and spread through the burrito. On the other hand, it seemed like my mother enjoyed the French toast. Definitely will come back to try a different burrito. read more

We had a one night layover so we stay at a hotel nearby. After reading the reviews we knew this could go really good or really bad. We were a group of 4 and decided to give it a try. Well, based on the two stars you can imagine that we were ones with the not so good experience. I ordered a California burrito I believe is the name and i did not know it came on the spinach wrap which I do not like. I still ate the meat, avocado and eggs but it had no flavor, my husband ate the same and did not like it. He also ordered coffee and it was not good at all. One of my friends ordered the pancakes and he said they were good and that's how we decided to give it 2 stars. My other friend ordered the famous burrito and I agree with everyone here on yelp who does not understand how they say it is good. The menu is a mix of old favorites; Salads (house, Caesar, chicken or fish) Burgers (beef, turkey, salmon or chicken), add fries and drink for under $10 Pasta dishes with garlic bread (shrimp, chicken salmon or vegetarian), all under $12 Seafood plates, tacos, sandwiches and pizza round out the menu. Now that I'm working at the crack a** of dawn. I need to be able to get some breakfast if need be. Bread and Butter is across the street from where I work. Obviously they're open early because I writing this review.. (Lol) Anyways, the restuarant is small and probably would be considered as diner. There's a long counter right in front of the grill. So you'll be able to converse with the grill masters and the waiters. The owner is usually there to greet and help everyone who comes in. He told me his name but I forget :( (forgive me, but I waited to long to write this review so I can't remember his name). But he's super friendly and helpful. On to the food, I decided to order the breakfast tacos. Which are savory, and seasoned well. The Taco's come with Eggs, Cheese and go try them for yourself. Been dreading this review but it's long overdue. Been coming here for years since this place opened anytime I'm visiting El Segundo. Even came here the day of my wedding to start my day off with a classic breakfast burrito. But the service and quality has tailed off to a point where we're starting to look for another spot. The owner seems to have another shop nearby and the other staff are usually in La La land. The food has started to get hit or miss with some of the meats ranging from under cooked to over cooked and chewy. When you get lucky the food is phenomenal but I'm 0 for the last 5 trips and at $12 for a small burrito, it's time for the low star review. read more

I ordered a world famous burrito through yelp and called the store to add avocados in it. They told me it would be $1 and charged me $2 for the avocado when I got to the store. We found this restaurant on Yelp as we were staying in a hotel near by. This place is located in a medium sized mini-mall. I like the fact that you can see the cooks make your food. The food was very reasonably priced and was ready pretty quick. The only downside was that the restaurant is very, very small. There isn't much space to enjoy your meal on the inside. I have read a lot of good reviews about this place and sadly, I did not experience the same thing when I brought my family here while we were in town. There was nothing really bad about it, just did not meet my expectations that was shaped by the reviews I've read beforehand. We came here early in the day, like about 8 am. There were nobody and we were the first customers to come in. The moment we came in, all the staff just looked at us, the cooks and the people by the register. No greetings were given, they just dead straight up look towards us. It was not a friendly reception but not a rude one. It was just really weird that they just looked at us, didn't say a single word until we gave our orders. I decided to get the Chicken Delight Omelette and it came with hash browns and toast on the side. One thing I like about the food here is that the serving is big. But that's just it for me. The chicken in my omelet was chunky, overcooked, really dry, and not well seasoned. Another thing is that I wish they initially provide more butter for the toast. There was only 1 very small butter on my plate for 4 quarters of toast. Another thing that would have been better is to have the condiments available right away on the table. I had to keep coming up to the counter to ask for condiments such as ketchup and maple syrup. My overall experience with Bread & Butter was just alright, nothing exceptional. It might have been one of those odd days but I was really disappointed with the reception by the staff, the service, and the quality of the chicken omelet.
