Holy smokes their Stuffed Salmon plate is no joke! I came here for lunch with a coworker and was very impressed with how big a portion it was. Granted the dish is a lot pricier than say, their wraps, but you also get a lot more food. It's very rare that I complain about food , it's usually my wife. From They are overpriced for the quality of food that they provide. I ordered a steak burrito with extra shrimp but they gave me extra steak and it tasted extra trash. It had no flavor or substance to it. I like to give small local restaurants a shot when away from home; often rewarding, but you take your chances. From the name my wife and I were expecting something of a bagel/biscuit/coffee shop; much more of a lunch counter that serves some breakfast dishes - and not bagel/biscuits. No real problems with the quality of the food or service, but there were some irritants: * Bread and Butter is rather nondescript. Due to construction going on, if the Google Maps reference didn't mention it next to a more prominent restaurant we probably would have never identified it. The owners need to somehow identify the space better. * Coffee was $2.25 a cup - no refill (!). * Rather pricey. No small breakfast items. Two breakfast dishes, a coffee and a (rather flat) fountain soft drink ran us, with tax, close to $25.00. OK for what it is, but if you're looking for a quick, light breakfast, B & B is not the place. read more

SO excited to have found this place for breakfast today! It is super small and hidden in the little shopping strip. We had a large order..the prices were reasonable. The guys were friendly and fast and the food was amazing!! We got the cinnamon rolls, a sunrise breakfast, the breakfast tacos, and the NY steak and eggs between us. Horrible customer service. Never have I been spoken to by a manager or owner as I did on a sunday by Marco. I made an order through my phone and apparently the order was submitted twice and was cancelled on their end before I arrived to pick up only to be told a refund could only be done through speaking with postmates. To my frustration I ended up minutes on the phone with Marco being threatened to be reported to the police and being called a scammer for calling the store regarding the issue. A man who deflects and puts blame on others. If you get bad customer service and the manager only tells you you made a mistake and makes no effort to correct the matter or shows no empathy only says, call them not our problem. I think the name threw me for a loop. It's such a fancy name but not a fancy place. By fancy I mean not the tabletop diner that it is. The menu had a lot of greasy foods for being called bread and butter. The bread here was ok and the butter was the standard pop a pack from Sysco. I guess it would be great as a stop over. Saw the great reviews for breakfast. Went for Dinner I was the the second person in the restaurant. Ordered the grilled fish and took a seat. Saw other people come and go and also get food. After 1/2 hour asked about my fish. They held up a bag and said here it is. Not sure how long it was sitting there but I left not even eating. 2 people in the restaurant and they couldn't call the number or bring the food to the table. Not a mind reader Definitely not returning for breakfast. Will never leave a tip at the register again. Had left cash and on the slip. Not sure they got such great reviews. I need to up the review do to after getting food from another establishment and went back for a refund they gave me a full refund without hassle read more

I'm going to start with food is good and being they don't have a restroom, I've scored lower as a result. If you need to go, go before you get here. They suggest to use the El Pollo Loco next door, which only has one stall. As a result, there were three people lined up while the El Polo Loco employees are wonder if you are there to go or eat. You probably already have an idea of where I was going. I'm just surprised that a food service does not offer a restroom, guessing like the 7-11 or the gas station that are out of order, they are too lazy to clean them. read more

Came in today looking for a good lunch and something I don't get back home in San Francisco. I ordered today's pastrami special 10.95 with fries and a drink. I could've went to subway next door but it was worth the extra cost. The pastrami sandwich was the best so far I have had. The fries are golden brown and crunchy. I wanted to try something new this morning. Since bread and butter was the only thing available during my lunch time I decided to give them a try. I had a horrible experience. I did not feel welcome and more attention was provided to the regulars. After I put in my order during in my transaction the employee was already taking orders from the regulars. As usual with my card the chip does not work so it needs to be inserted three times with Chip and then swipe all debit credit devices provide the option to swipe after multiple failed chip attempts. But the employee was not patient with me and didn't take the extra time to complete my transaction. I had cash in my pocket but I didn't want to give him my business after feeling embarrassed. The food is good!!! I work near by so it is super helpful for me to simply go when in need of a quick yet delicious breakfast. The sunrise is deeeelishhh! Their pancakes are fluffy and they're topped with strawberries and bananas. The bacon is also great in which to me are two essentials to a breakfast. One of my favorite lunch spots. I've always enjoyed their sandwiches and cheeseburger. The sandwiches have a lot of flavor and the burger patty is thick. Generous portions, nicely varied menu options and the staff are always friendly. I recently went there looking for Smaro's and got a little scared when I saw a window display of pastries and new signage that read Bread & Butter. I recognized the staff and found out they had a renaming. Whew! It's the same spot! Crisis diverted. They've added some menu items as well as some delicious looking pastries.
