I also remember the service being very friendly and welcoming. Today, a friend mentioned that she had been there, and it suddenly brought back memories of my own visit. So I went searching through my old photos and found these. Manhattan Beach used to be one of my favorite places to visit, and I went there quite often back then. The scallops were cooked well but a little on the rare side. The pesto pasta was delicious and pretty sure it's freshly made pasta. It was the right amount of food for lunch. Service was great and attentive. A little on the pricier side, for two people (1 app, 2 mains, 1 drink) it came to around $200 all in.

We brought this to our server's attention, but there was no follow-up afterward to address the issue. That was particularly disappointing given the quality and reputation I would expect from a restaurant that is recognized from Michelin.
