Not pictured is The Thor sandwich with tater tots. After the reviews I'm shocked by our experience. We ordered a meat plate, the sandwich and deviled eggs. The food had no flavor or seasoning. The beans tasted like they came straight out of the can, bbq sauce tastes straight out of the bottle. All the meat was largely fat pieces. Everything had an oily coating or taste to it. The person taking out order didn't seem to know the menu or much about it. The restaurant itself is pretty small so I would say if you have more than 4 people you would want to make other arrangements. We were highly disappointed. Brought the family here to eat today as we have been going BBQ joints lately. It is mainly for take out service but they have a couple of tables inside and a couple outside. My daughter ordered the BBQ Judgement and that was brisket, garlic mashed potatoes, Mac & cheese, and corn bread with a pink lemonade to drink. My wife and I shared a BBQ Damnation plate which was brisket, pulled pork, and a hot link baked beans and potato salad. I got root beer to drink and my wife had brought a drink from the house. We also ordered some deviled eggs with pork belly on top. Mac and cheese and corn bread were good. Mashed potatoes were tasty. The potato salad was very good. And the baked beans were just regular, but had no seasoning . The brisket was ok and a little dry. The pulled pork was dry. The hot link was good. I had been here years ago mostly because of the homemade root beer. I decided to stop by again. The restaurant has a small amount of indoor seating and there's more seating on the sidewalk. There's a variety of BBQ sauces. The service was attentive. I ordered a three meat plate with potato salad and creamed corn. Brisket chicken and pulled pork were all good. DELICIOUS BARBECUE!! Got catering for lunch at work today, and WOW this is probably the BEST catering option we have gotten. All the meats were so tender, the sides were perfect (unfortunately forgot to take a picture of the amazing sides) and the sauce is so good. I am personally not a fan of barbecue sauce, but this place definitely changed my mind. A great balance of sweet and savory, I went back for more. The catering included barbecue chicken, brisket, and baby back ribs for meat. Mac and cheese, corn bread, and mashed potatoes for sides. Not only is this place delicious, but it is so convenient that I want to cater their food for all my future events! I feel I can't do this place justice from trying it through this one experience, so I plan to visit the Orange location to enjoy all its beauty. Overall, great food and great service. We came here for dinner yesterday as we were craving some good BBQ, and my friends had them cater before, and they said that this place was pretty good. So we came on a Saturday night to try them out. First off, this place is really small. They had many people coming to pick up their orders. We were the only ones sitting in there, which was good. There's only like 6 tables inside. They also had about 2 tables outside as well. We ordered their ribs and their brisket as well as sides of baked beans and mac and cheese. Food came out fairly quickly. The ribs were amazing!! Had a slight char on the outside. But it was moist and tender. Sauces were amazing. They had some regular BBQ sauce on the side as well as some spicy sauce, which wasn't extremely spicy. I just could not get enough of the ribs!! Brisket was also really good!! Small amounts of fat in it. Tender. Moist. Juicy. Flaverful. Just amazing!! Wish we had more of it though. Now I'm not usually a mqc and cheese guy. But crazy enough it was really good mac and cheese. Had a deep and full garlic flavor. Wasent extremely creamy, maybe on the drier side. But the flavors were on point. And the beams too were cooked well. Only reason I took a star away was because they ran out of root beer...... this place is called Brew Hawg BBQ And root beer. Can't have root beer in the name and be out of it. It's like if this place ran out of ribs or BBQ sauce or any of the other meets. Just a complete travesty!! The bathroom was also on the back. The brisket is some of the best we've had in our 13 yrs of being out of Texas. The sides are just alright, but you go to a BBQ place for the meat, and Brew Hawg delivers. The Mac n cheese was awful, the worst I've ever tasted. The corn was pretty good and the banana pudding was too sweet and tasted like the grocery store premade pudding. Only 3 stars out of me on this visit and here's why. As you enter Brew Hawg, you pretty much immediately hit the order counter. The gal that was taking orders, serving the orders, and organizing the pick up orders by placing the bagged food in the pick up order slots, seemed super overwhelmed, even though there were only two other customers that were already seated and eating their food. It must of been the pick up orders that she was focusing on, cause she didn't acknowledge us, or even look at us for at least 8 mins. I finally said, please let us know when you're ready to take our order. If you're totally slammed, I would have at least acknowledged the customer and said, I'll be right with you guys, or something like that. That's all it takes to manage getting slammed. A simple acknowledgment goes a long ways. We sit down, our food arrives rather quickly. Theres a little mix up with drinks and the corn bread and brioche roll. No biggie, same gal brought our order out and corrected the mistake. We ordered a two meat combo and a 1/2 rack of pork ribs plate with potato salad and their baked beans. Potato salad was good. Baked beans, not good. Someone thought it was a good idea to put what I believe was canned pineapple in with the beans. I think it should only be brown sugar, molasses, spices, and maybe some liquid smoke. Beans tasted like canned fruit cocktail. Corn bread, well, they need another recipe or the person that prepared it that day rushed through the process and needs to slow their roll. If they used Marie Callender's instant mix or another popular instant mix, it would be an improvement. Just please don't add any fruit cocktail to it. Meat was decent for the price. It was a little dry, but I did enjoy it. Was surprised that when we walked through the door, we didn't get hit with that smoke BBQ aroma. Maybe they have a smokeless system, dunno, that kinda through me off. My 3 stars doesn't mean I wouldn't recommend Brew Hawg. On the contrary, Brew Hawg is a great place to satisfy a BBQ craving. Owner or owners have put some time into their business, which you can tell by the decor and how they've positioned their set up for what I feel is more of a pick up orders flow. We brought a whole Turkey and dropped it off to be smoked for $25.00. Dropped it off on Tuesday and picked it up on Wednesday evening. Their heating instructions were to place it in the oven at 350 for about an hour or until it reaches 165 degrees internal. Based on those instructions, one would think it would take about an hour to heat up right? Well it wasn't. Ok, the day of thanksgiving, I took the Turkey out to let it get to room temp for a bit. Tossed it in the oven for 350 thinking it would be done in about an hour. I timed it for it would be done right around dinner time. Well at the 45 minute mark, I took it out to check the temp and it was at a luke warm 80 degrees. My Turkey wasn't the largest so I can't imagine other people being about to heat up their Turkey to 165 in an hour. There is absolutely no way to get it to that temp on one hour. Their instructions were not accurate whatsoever. To top it off, customer service at the drop off was extremely slow. Workers were disorganized and kept calling people to the front of the line for pick up. All I needed was to drop off the Turkey, give them my name and number and pay my $25.00. This whole ideal took about 45 minutes. And I was third in line. Come on guys. You weren't busy at all. Turkey was alright too. Multiple people commented the Turkey didn't really have any smoky flavor. The breast was moist and that was the only really good thing about it. Needless to say, I don't think I will be coming back here for them to smoke my thanksgiving Turkey. read more

This is not an authentic BBQ restaurant- there's no outdoor smoker shed since it's a tiny place in a strip mall. At a real BBQ joint you can smell the BBQ in the air as soon as you get to the parking lot. But there was no BBQ smell inside the restaurant. Service was good- the cashier was helpful and friendly while explaining the menu. I enjoyed the Mac & cheese, and potato salad sides.
