Andrea is very helpful in person or on the phone every time ive brought my car in to be serviced. The driver of the shuttle was also friendly. I had a pleasant commute with the two other passengers and him. The repair took three days as we needed to wait on a part to be ordered, but at this particular time, it was not too bad of an inconvenience to me. Great Job! read more

I had a very negative service experience at Briarwood Ford. I owned a 2005 Ford Focus hatchback ZX3 SES with automatic transmission, which I bought new in June of 2005. Several weeks ago I started having problems with the car. It jerked when putting into gear, and on the cold mornings or after being parked for the whole day it would not move in reverse. I had to park the way that I would be able start moving forward. After the car start moving the reverse would come back. I scheduled an appointment at Briarwood Ford on March 6 asking to test the transmission and I brought the car there around 9am. In the afternoon of that day I received a call at work from service adviser Matt Foley. He told me that they found what the problem with the car was and in order to fix it two parts had to be replaced. When I asked about the transmission he said that the transmission was fine, the computer didn't show any problem and there was enough transmission fluid. He was assuring me that after these parts are replaced I wouldn't experience the problems that the car had. One part had to be ordered, I gave my OK to do it. I brought the car on the next day, March 7 and they replaced the parts. I paid $598 for the repairs. When I was taking my car service adviser Matt Foley showed me the replaced parts, one had the rubber piece broken. I was taking off and put the car in reverse it jerked again as before. I wanted to show it to service adviser Matt Foley but he wasn't there at the moment, another service adviser came with me and I showed it to him. He said that the main problem was fixed and this was some cable causing this behavior. He didn't sound very convincing. Actually nothing was fixed. Everything was getting worse after that. The car started having problem going into higher gear, the engine would rev up to 6000 rpm and then with a sudden jerk the transmission would shift. Eventually the check engine light went on and from time to time the O/D off light would be blinking. On March 14, after a week from the repairs I brought the car back insisting on having a real transmission test. From the conversation that I heard I understood that there was some transmission specialist who had to do the test and he was not available on that day. We scheduled service on March 19. Service adviser who worked with me on that day was Andrea Kanerva. When I asked her why that test had not been done the first time, which would save me from paying almost $600, she said that those parts had to be replaced first (??). After the transmission test I got a call and service adviser Andrea Kanerva told me that the transmission had to be replaced and it would cost me about $4000. I didn't want to pour this amount of money into 13 years old car, so I just took the car. $600 spent for nothing. I expected a much higher level of service from Briarwood Ford, and I am extremely disappointed. read more

I was very disappointed with the service I received on my 30,000 mile check-up. I paid over $300 and part of the service included vacuuming and an exterior car wash. I think my 18 month old granddaughter could have done a better job. When I called to complain they did send someone to pick the car up and again tried to vacuum the car but when I mentioned that I removed everything to make it easier to vacuum the 3rd row seats I expected that someone would know enough to vacuum that area at the very least. It was obvious that they never even touched this area of the vehicle. It is very upsetting when you ask for something that specific and they continue to not complete the job. As a customer service person in the service area I would have double checked any work especially if I knew I had a disappointed customer, but I guess he again was too busy to check the workmanship. I will go out of my way to take my Explorer to Varsity Ford which is 15 miles out of my way before I will ever go back to Briarwood Ford. read more

Took my F150 in for an electrical problem. After hundreds of dollars they did not do a diagnostic and recommended a alternator changeout for $1100. This did not seem to make sense but we did change out the alternator at more expense but that did not impact the problem at all. The manager was rude and the technician did not even do a diagnostic and did not indicate a sufficient knowledge of the vehicle in order to fix it. This whole process to over a week in time. These guys had NOTHING going for them and I would encourage anyone to find an alternative to them. read more

I brought my 2005 Ford Focus to check faulted automatic transmission (car jerked when the gears were changing, didn't engage in reverse) but been told that they didn't find anything bad with the transmission but that my problems were caused by the broken motor mound, which the service adviser suggested to replace. Unfortunately I agreed and paid $600 for the repair that didn't fix any of the problems that I had. In less than a week brought the car back with check engine light on and blinking O/D off light. This time been told that my transmission had to be replaced for $4000. Decided not to go with it and ended up paying $600 for nothing. read more

Rick Mansinni was the best salesman! I had been to several other dealerships, looking for the right car, and either the car was wrong, or in most cases, the salespeople were significantly under-prepared to assist someone like myself. I am a college graduate, just finishing up and getting my life in order-student loans coming in and not a lot of money to play with, unfortunately. However, I had seen a few cars at Briarwood, online, that I was interested in. I contacted the dealership, and to my surprise, the cars were available and Rick offered to meet me that day! I showed up and drove one of the cars I had interest in. After that, he escorted me to their finance woman, who was sweet as pie and so welcoming, unlike the other dealerships. Together, they were able to get me a great car, with a great interest rate, even with my current situation. Not only that, but soon after, as Rick was putting on my new plate to my new car, I had found out that he was having surgery the following day. Let me be clear: He spoke with me on the phone for an hour, showed me a few cars as the dealership should've been closing up, and stayed with me as we finished the process, talked with me after and even offered his personal cell if I had any problems, which to this day I have not. I have had my Eclipse GS for over a month now, and I could not be happier. I have made multiple attempts to work with the Service Department at this dealership, and have never had a positive experience. I have been treated with an unprofessional attitude, shoddy, incomplete workmanship, and a complete lack of professionalism in my dealings with them. On a simple warranty repair of my 12 volt outlet cover in my 2013 Fusion, they installed a cover from a 2014 that did not fit, and when brought to their attention, they suggested that I remove my rubber dash insert so the incorrect size cover would close. After some warranty headliner work, my wife noticed that the technician left large mud stains from his boots in the back of her Flex. The Service Adviser accused her of making the story up, and upset her to the point of tears. As a result of the horrendous service that we experienced with the dealer, we've traded in both vehicles for Jeeps and will never purchase a Ford again read more

I never thought that Briarwood operated that way but after the numerous calls felt like I was falling into the same old category - sales gets another tally mark and can't be bothered after the fact. If I could give them no stars I would. I was interested in a vehicle listed on craigslist from Briarwood Ford and was dealing with Ricky Fay who is the Pre-Owned Internet Manager. The car was supposed to be at the detailer and he put me off for 2 days saying it wasn't back yet. He contacted me and told me - sorry but it is sold. Nothing like wanting to buy a car and having it sold right out from underneath me. I find it interesting if he is the Pre Owned Internet Manager how did he not have better control of his inventory. Not only have you lost this sale from me but I won't ever buy a vehicle from Briarwood Ford. If I were you I would think twice before dealing with this dealership. I have never been to Briarwood Ford but I just received and email asking me to rate my experience with my new Ford Edge. I do not own a Ford Edge and never have. The email was directed to a guy named Clyde. I wouldn't leave this terrible review if this wasn't the 8th time and 3rd different customer of theirs that I have received an email for. I have called them to have my email removed and I thought it was resolved. Now, a year later, I am getting more emails. It frustrates me that people aren't getting their emails because somebody is not doing their job properly. I took my 2006 superduty dump truck with 40,000 miles to Brierwood ford. This was the worst service experience I have ever encountered!!!! They did not call me to keep me informed about my work truck that was down for a week!! When I called them I had to leave a message (unbelievable) they did not return my cal and I had to call back the next day and still did not receive a call back !!! When I finally talked to the service KID he gave me a $1100 estimate and could not explain the work to be done. I ok'd the work because I was desperate to get the truck back. It took 2 weeks to get the truck back. When I picked up the truck I drove it back to my barn and the next day It would not start. I mistakenly towed it back to them and the charged my another $1600 claiming that it had a different problem. I ok'd the work and got the truck back in another week and half. Now it won't start again!!!!! I am not going back to these idiots to throw some more money down the drain. read more

First off, I never post reviews. But Briarwood Ford broke the mold in my opinion of car dealerships and I thought this was well deserved. I signed my very first lease this week for a 2015 Ford Escape!! I've been driving a 2004 Escape since my 16th birthday and (almost) my entire family drives a Ford. As an Ann Arbor resident, I would normally go to the dealership (which I will not name) closer to my home but Briarwood Ford was recommended to me by a friend who commended you on your customer service, friendliness, and the way you operate as a dealership. After a bit of research I decided to visit the dealership to look at/test drive vehicles. After working closely with Larry over the past week, I can confidently say the recommendation was 100% accurate. He was more than patient with me and helped me with all aspects of my choice. He was constantly in communication with me and answered ALL of my questions in a timely manner and without hesitation. He never pressured me into leasing or purchasing a vehicle through him and if he didn't have what I wanted with the exact specifications on the lot, he offered to bring one in from another dealer. My entire experience at Briarwood was beyond pleasant; every one of the sales associates I came in contact with, regardless of who I was working with, were extremely friendly and professional. There was a certain feeling of being among friends after I had made a few trips to the dealership which is what separates Briarwood from the rest. Larry was wonderful and I'm so pleased with the service and treatment I received. I will definitely be recommending Briarwood to all future Ford customers in the future! You guys ROCK! read more

Jeff Steinbach the service manager refused to even look at my car after I got it back from then for warranty work with it making unusual noises and the transmission slipping. He accused me of breaking the transmission myself while "racing and beating on the car daily". I took my car to another dealership, Buttman Ford and it turns out Briarwood didnt refill the transmission fluid. Buttman attempted to get Briarwood to pay for this service but they refused. So to recap, took my car to Briarwood with no issues, they gave it back to me with issues and blamed them on me, took my car to another dealership who verified the problem was caused by Briarwood Ford and they still refused to cover their mistake. Never take your car here, horrible customer service and the mechanics arent even competent enough to put transmission fluid in your car. They refused to even look at my car had they looked my car over they would have seen the transmission fluid was empty. read more

2016 fusion se awd. mike collins was helpful in exploring options between this and the focus and also leasing vs. buying each. he was very informed regarding best value for money and what incentives to take vs. others. i like that he uses email rather than calling-personal preference and it worked really well. i requested a lower payment, heated seats and preferably awd and the vehicle meets all those. he covered everything we needed in terms of car features once we selected a vehicle...he knew we had a similar one in the past (2013 escape) so he did not go over things we said we were comfortable with and covered the updates and slight differences. i felt like he used all our time wisely which is important to me. read more

Well I would never recommend this dealership to even my worst enemy. The process started okay I arrived at Briarwood ford looking for a new truck I met a salesmen Named Mike he showed my family and I a couple trucks then we decided on a truck that was just above my loan amount so I called my bank and extended my loan to the price we settled on. I made sure he was next to me as I did this over the phone so I would get the correct amount. I then explained to him that I have very little time to complete the deal due to my travel for my job and asked if I got him the verification from my bank and gave him my trade in if I could take the new truck I was informed that they could not do this and I understood so I waited the 3 days to get the new preapproved loan in the mail I took the day of work so I could make it to the dealership to complete the deal I arrived to the dealership and gave them the check they had me put all my belongings into the new truck and put insurance on it before they decided to tell me that the check was not the right amount but they would not be able to sell it to me due to the salesmen misquoting the truck and proceeded to tell me I needed to give them 3500 dollars more when I told them that was not feasible they argued and told me that they were sorry they couldn't simplify the situation so I would be able to understand it basically calling me stupid . Then came up with a new idea they wanted me to write them a check for the amount and they would let me take the vehicle until I could up my loan at this point and gave them there keys back and had to transfer all my stuff into my old car mind you I have an almost 2 year old I have to keep entertained during this what was supposed to be 20 process to a 2 hour fiasco this place was a disappointment and I do not understand how there are in business with practices like this Stay away if at all possible read more
