I have been a regular at Brick 46 for years and it remains one of my absolute favorite places in the Rockaway / Denville area. Excellent service and delicious food! The prices are very reasonable. I recommend the dining room for a quieter experience and the bar area when you're in the mood for noise. The service in both rooms is top-notch. Great place for large parties but also wonderful for dinner for two. If it's your first time going, I highly recommend the eggplant parm and a pitcher of sangria! read more

Happy hour.....my wife and I had returned from the beach and stopped in for an early "bite" to eat to hold us over until dinner. We ordered some apps fromt he happy hour menu which all were $4. BBQ shrimp, sliders, wings, quesadilla....thinking they were $4 happy hour specials. DAMN, they are full portions! This property certainly knows what value is and the guests perception of value. I've eaten here a number of times and even had affairs catered, and was happy. Last weekend I ordered 3 trays of food. The chicken Francese was very tough and didn't have any flavor in the sauce. The meatballs were mushy, full of breadcrumbs. The eggplant was good. My guests didn't enjoy the food at all. I called to tell the owner, rather than posting a poor review. I wanted to give him the opportunity to figure out why the food wasn't very good, certainly not worth the money I spent. His response was so disappointing. He told me that nothing had changed at the restaurant and he was sorry I didn't like it. That's it! He was pleasant and he didn't seem to care at all! If the food was free, I'd say it was OK;but considering I paid for it, it was a disappointment. I had wings, onion rings, and some pizza. For a place that advertises as a brick oven pizza joint, I would say its on par with a Tombstone frozen pizza. The wings were dry and chewy, and even as a person who likes greasy food, the onion rings looked and tasted as though they had a spoonful of oil drizzled on them after the fact. I was really looking forward to a beer as well, unfortunately their beer selection is abysmal. So unless someone is offering to buy you free lunch here, and maybe give you 20 dollars as a gift as well...I'd go somewhere else. read more

Catered my husbands 50th Birthday party with 125 guests. I had them drop off the food. I did not have any workers staying behind. I had all trays of food out at once. The food was great. Got many of compliments on it. I did all hot appetizers. Only missing one star because it was hard to coordinate with them on the quantity needed for the head count of guests. I felt like it was up to me to know how much I needed. We did run out of a few trays that I wish we had more of. Came here to see comedian Bobby Kelly perform on a recent Saturday night in April. He was great and I didn't stop laughing during the entire act. Our waitress was attentive and enthusiastic. She even suggested a Vodka (Crossroads) that made for a fantastic and generously poured Martini. I must also note the Martini was served in a short rocks glass and was actually a nice change from the delicate "up" glass out of which I normally imbibe. For my meal I started with the Greek Salad. It was a normal greek salad and ingredients were fresh. The main course I split with my friend. We got the Salmon over Spinach and Cavatelli with pillows of fantastic Ricotta on top. Both were good meals although I was pretty drunk by the time came so my opinions might be a bit skewed. :) read more

Food is always good. The pizza is great. The new lunchtime girl needs a raise and the regular chick needs to learn customer service and stop leaving the bar. She should pay attention to customers more often. And even try to smile. She appears to be overwhelmed during lunch. The service is absolutely horrible. Had a horrific experience last week and gave them one more try. When I arrived to pick up my order one of the orders was not what I had ordered. I informed the staff that this was not what I ordered. The offered to remake it but explained to them that the rest of my food would cold by then and would prefer to just get a refund. They told me they don't give refunds. Asked them if they would remake everything than since it will be cold. The lady told me no. Will never go back to a place that treats their customers like garbage. Place is very unsanitary on top of it and the bathrooms are so gross you might catch something. Would recommend all pizza lovers try Forte in Randolph. Few dollars more but much better food and friendlier staff read more

Went with my husband and four friends. Comedy show was affordable and pretty funny. Dinner I had the stuffed mushrooms which was excellent and a large portion. We ordered a pitcher of white sangria for the table and after two glasses I realized the strength behind it. Kicked my butt. My friend had just had an engagement party that was catered by this place. The food at the party wAs pretty good which is what made us go there. Overall an evening at this place was well worth it. It was an affordable night out. IMPORTANT: you must bring cash to the comedy show for your ticket. I was eating here with friends in my first visit here last night. Our server Emily was attentive. She came over to take our orders within a minute after we made our decisions. The price before applying our trivia prize or tips was just over $15/person, where we got the sampler appetizer, three pizzas, & various drinks. The sampler was good. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful dining experience last Friday night. We sat in the dining room and had a terrific server. I wish I could remember her name as I'd love to mention her here, but she was much older than the other servers. Extremely friendly, attentive and got our weekend off to a nice start with her friendly attitude. Our food was really good. Our appetizer was lobster Ravioli (I think it was on the specials menu) and a mushroom & onion pizza for our main meal. Both were terrific. Atmosphere is good, and it's very clean.
