A great neighborhood bsr in downtown Reno serving up a phenomenal burger AND they have Guinness on tap! They have specials to keep things interesting but the burgers clearly rule the roost here Personal favorite is The Works. A bacon cheeseburger with an Ortega green chile! Delicious! They don't offer fries but have tater tots snd an amazing homemade potato salad. I would have probably given 4 stars but the Guinness puts them over the top for me!

Its a local dive bar known for burgers. The food was good. Not the best ever though. I ordered the burger (no cheese) and was asked to choose a side (fries, tots and or some other choices that I cannot recall now.) I picked the tots. My dining partner ordered the Quesadilla w chicken. It was meh. Plain jane and quite pedestrian. I don't recommend. I had a Beer. She had the Nutrl. Drink meu looks as expected. Drinks were cold. Great staff. Lana and Katie. Both did a fabulous job with great, friendly attitudes and smiles a mile wide. Ok here's where it goes south and quickly too...... The menu shows one price for the cheese burger. (remember I asked for no cheese) My bill showed an increased price for the burger (minus cheese!?) I spoke with Lana and she apologized profusely. She explained that if you get tots as the side there is an up charge. Nowhere on the menu does it reflect this and when my order was taken, I was asked for what side I wished for. When I said "tots" she did not warn me or even mention that there was an up charge for this side. So, as most would, I assumed that it came with the meal as shown on the menu. She had mentioned that they have brought this to the attention of the management and owners but to the date of my dining there they have not addressed it. I have to say this is my A-NUMBER ONE PET PEEVE!!! Don not try the bait and switch. This is a shady practice and many diners, I am sure, do not pay attention to their bills to the extent that I do. So, take warning that you should check you bill against the menu when cashing out. Once again the staff was great. Respectful and totally understood and were very apologetic. (its close to tip time so....) Bottom line, the bill was adjusted. HOWEVER, It's the point though. This kind of practice is not cool. I might return but not until they make new menus or stop up-charging with out notice.

I've only recently been introduced to Brickies, and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite local bars. It's what you would call a hole in the wall bar, but in the best way. There's nothing fancy about it, the bar and staff are down to earth, you will most likely be surrounded by regulars, and surprisingly I always see a family or two in here enjoying dinner, which I think is great. Brickies has something for everyone with a broad menu to choose from, drink specials, good beers on tap, and plenty of space. I've haven't eaten a meal here yet, but look forward to trying some of the food and from what I've seen and smelled it looks appetizing. Plan on updating my review after a meal, but I have nothing but great things to say about the bartenders, always friendly and attentive, and I always seem to strike up a friendly conversation with someone when I'm here. A must stop for a local Reno bar experience!

Always a solid choice for breakfast or lunch. Small little spot. Full bar and delicious food. This bar gives you that small town feel. Lots of regulars come to watch sports and chat with staff. They've got drink specials and a full bar

    Bloody marry

This place has some good burger ratings so I decided to check it out on a late Saturday morning. Overall the atmosphere is great for a dive bar and my bloody marry was made great. Burger toppings came on the side which I appreciated. However the grill was dirty as my burger had black crunchies on it and I could taste the gas from the grill. Salad was delicious but my fork was dirty to begin with. Overall might be worth another try.

Bacon cheeseburger. Don't get more classic than this. And I'm a tots guy so extra points.

Food was exactly what I was looking for. Classic bar burger. Service was good. Attentive bartender. I mean it's nothing fancy. But for a good food and beer with a slot bar. My fav. The ambiance will do. Def gonna be back. I've walked in twice before and couldn't get a seat at the bar. Glad I did today.

We were downtown last week and had the pleasure of eating at Brickie's again. The staff was great and kept us laughing and engaged the whole time. Love this hole in the wall. Give it a try.

It has been at least 20 years since my previous trip to Brickies. To set the stage, it is a small locally owned tavern, 14 seats at the bar and 7 high tables. It is clean and screams sports, dive and gambling tavern. There is a good amount of off street parking and is just far enough away from downtown to stave off the riffraff. Very friendly staff that was 100% attentive throughout our visit. Our server was so attentive to all of the patrons that that he brought water to a service/seeing eye dog seated next to us. The issues we had to day was the food. We ordered tater-tots and they were out. I am not sure if the cook was unfamiliar with cooking the fries that they replaced them with, but they came out underdone, soggy and greasy. I think they were cooked in an oven as opposed to hot oil. The chicken fingers for the same reason came out cooked but with soggy coating. On the a better note the burger was cooked well and had a great flavor.

this is my favorite dive bar and i will defend it with my life. the people: insanely nice. the burgers: hit the spot in a way that requires extra napkins and zero shame. the menu is pub food delicious and absolutely not good for you which is exactly the point. come hungry leave happy maybe slightly greasy. cold drinks good vibes no nonsense just a perfect little hole in the wall that never lets me down. i love this place and will be back forever

Brickies Tavern on 6th is right downtown. The staff is over the top friendly & service is lightening quick. The bartender knew every customer's first name and greeted them as they entered. Being a tavern, they have every brew known to man. For the non-drinkers, it's Coke products. The bar has gaming. The food is incredibly excellent. Finally, a burger better than the awful-awful & there's no grease to soak through the bottom bun !! The music is low volume & the wall of TV's is all about sports. *All the inside tables are high tops, so the physically challenged be warned. The premise is aged but spotlessly clean. Don't let the neighborhood scare you off. Their parking lot is attached along with a covered patio. Once again, this is the friendliest business we've patronized in recent memory. This is a locally owned business. Please give Brickie's a try !!!

So glad we finally tried this place!…read more Some friends of ours tried this place a few years ago, but honestly, I had never even heard of it until I recently saw a review pop up. I told my husband, "We've got to try this place!" We were going to be downtown anyway, walking along the river, so it seemed like the perfect time. I'm so glad we did! I have to say, this place is definitely hipster--and I mean that in the best possible way! It has such a cool, unique vibe. There are diner-style seats with limited space right up along the bar, outdoor seating, and even a bus that has been turned into dining space. The bus was super cute and quaint inside. Today was absolutely perfect for sitting outside, so we took advantage of the beautiful weather. Our waitress, Nicole, was absolutely adorable! She was friendly, welcoming, and made our experience even better. There was another gentleman helping serve us as well, and unfortunately I didn't catch his name, but he was also super nice and attentive. Now for the food! I ordered the Pastrami Pile Up, and boy, they weren't kidding--it was PILEDDD UP! There was a generous amount of really good pastrami, along with a 1/3 pound burger. The pastrami was delicious. For me, the burger could have used just a little more seasoning and I had asked for medium-well, but it came out more medium. I didn't want to complain, though, and overall it was still good. The tater tots were fantastic! They came out hot, crispy and perfectly cooked. Definitely the kind of tots you keep eating even when you know you've already had enough. My husband ordered the Nevadan Burger with Swiss cheese, and he said it was really good. He also got the fries, which were hot and very tasty. There was so much food that we ended up taking some of the fries and our burgers home to enjoy tomorrow. And then there were the Parmesan garlic wings. My husband said they were absolutely delicious and had just the right little bite to them. I'm not really a wings person, so I didn't try much, but he was definitely impressed! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and are so happy we finally gave this place a try. Between the fun atmosphere, unique seating options, friendly service and generous portions, there's definitely a lot to come back for. Next time, I think we're going to try something completely different--and I already have my eye on the fried Oreos with ice cream! So glad that random review popped up and convinced us to give this place a try. Sometimes you just have to follow the recommendation and go!

For starters, the food is decent…read more With that said, if you advertise Happy Hour prices, they should be honored. I went specifically for the Happy Hour wings, and when I received the check, the price didn't reflect the amount stated on the menu. I asked to speak with the owner, and instead of correcting it, she told me she gave me a quarter off and, with a smug smile, said, "Thank you very much." Sorry, lady, but your food isn't that great for you to be so confidently rude. In addition, this was my second visit this week. I only returned because my sister loves chicken wings, and because of the advertised "Happy Hour" price, I decided to give them another try. We also ordered a plain burger to go with just cheese, and when I got home, it was loaded with all the fixings, including sauce. I called several times to have the issue addressed, but no one answered. When I told the servers about the situation during this visit, instead of trying to make it right, they gave me a half-hearted apology. So yes, the food might be diner decent, but the owner's attitude and the poor service make the entire experience worse. I've worked in customer service for over 30 years, and not once have I treated a paying customer the way I was just treated. And if they want to respond to this review to justify their shitty service, great. Go for it. I was polite the entire time. All I asked was to be heard, for their advertised pricing to be honored, and for some basic appreciation for my business by simply making things right. Instead, the owner insultingly put two quarters on the table, as if 50 cents somehow made up for the $8-$9 difference we were being overcharged. It didn't. If anything, it made an already frustrating situation feel even more dismissive. And it really was an easy fix. If they couldn't adjust the Happy Hour pricing for whatever reason, she could have easily taken the $18 pastrami sandwich off the bill to make up for both the pricing discrepancy and the incorrect order we received during our previous visit just two days earlier. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was asking for an owner to recognize that her restaurant had made mistakes on two separate visits and make a genuine effort to correct them. In a city full of burger options, she had an opportunity to turn a negative experience into a positive one and potentially make lasting customers out of my family and me. Instead, she chose to be dismissive, smug, and rude over something that could have been resolved in a matter of minutes. That tells me everything I need to know about how she values her customers.

Until this 4th of July weekend (250/2026) we had never heard of Archie's. It was recommended to us and we stopped in on Sunday the 5th for lunch on our way out of town. What an amazing choice. I ordered their bacon cheese burger. Guess what? It was GIANT. It was delicious. It was perfect. Comes with fries but I got onion rings. The onion rings were perfect too. Largest order of rings I have ever seen. The burger (1/2 Lb I think!!) had nice thick bacon in every bite, two large and fresh slices of tomato, a big old slab of an onion slice, mayo and lettuce. I can't remember if there were pickles. It was the best burger and onion rings I have eaten in at least ten years, maybe 20. We will be back, EVERY time we are in town from now on. I can't recommend this place enough. Special shout out to David, our server. This guy made no mistakes. Laughed at all my stupid dad jokes, was attentive, patient while my companions changed their minds 36 times, and was friendly too. Says it was only his 2nd day on the job, but I wish he had been working for us at our restaurant (Hokkaido Noodle House) in Sacramento. I haven't eaten breakfast there but the burger I'd put in the top 4 in Reno. It is giant diameter wise but the meat is the same amount of a smaller thicker burger which makes it no too hard to eat. I'd call this a Purist's Burger. Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, sauce. They went really light on the sauce to the point I didn't think it had any. Fries were excellent too. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. Two left on my list are Armando & Son's Butcher Shop and of course Beefy's.

My husband went with the bison, barbecue burger, and a side of fries, and I had the original burger with my choice of cheeses. Everything was prepared and served hot and fresh! We were offered ranch to go with our fries. I had a house made thousands island type sauce (but way better) to go on my cheeseburger. It was delicious. (Their Classic in my photo is probably their least impressive looking burger.) I ordered medium rare like always at a high-quality joint but I accidentally got someone's medium-well, and after tasting both, I actually preferred the the medium-well as the grind on the rare part of the medium-rare was a little mushier than I'm used to. Probably because most places you order a medium-rare you actually get a medium. Not here. I'd go medium on a return visit. I like they don't overseason the burger with too much salt like a lot of other places. Eaters with palates desensitized to salt due to a lot of fast food/burger eating may find the need to add salt to satisfy their salt craving. The burger sauce is also served on the side and is a bit milder, and more homemade tasting compared to your average burger sauces. This is great because the meat is so good you really don't want to overshadow it with salty seasoning and overpowering sauces. If you're going to dump a bunch of salt and sauce on it, just go to In-n-Out. They also have sandwiches, tenders and chili. If you think about it, a butcher shop deciding to serve cooked food is taking a risk. If the food isn't that great it can affect their meat business. The shop atmosphere is very upscale with high prices to match it like the rest of Rancharra Village. Very limited indoor bar dining and some tables outside. Not sure if the really high prices for the meats and seafoods in the case are worth it, but the saying "you get what you pay for" at least applies to the burgers here. My only suggestion is take a sharpie and scribble the cook temp (medium, medium-rare, etc) on the paper in the burger basket so groups don't get their burgers mixed up. They verbally pointed it out but it's easy to forget by the time you get back to your table with 3, 4, or 6 burgers. Fry basket is a great value, easily enough for 2 people and probably some of the best thick cut fries I've ever tasted with sort of a very light seasoned crispy panko outer texture to them. Updated Reno Burger Rankings primarily on quality/taste but also value is factored in but to a lesser degree: #1 Armandos #2 Royce #3 Beefy's tied with The Parlor #4 Archies Giant #5 Juicy's
