I come here often when I'm in the area and every time is a nice experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cozy little coffee shop with the old school coffee house vibes with unique decor, an inviting space to read or do work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's no rush to leave because there's lots of space including a decent size patio, a large inside area with room on the second level.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is good and the food is delicious. Nothing special or spectacular about the food but the coffee is on point.
Walked in menu is above you . Lots of cool items . Pastry case looks lovely ! Lemon muffin or scone looked delicious! Lots of options to choose from fairly priced ! Breakfast sandwich Los looked good comes with side salad ! I went with avocado toast ten bucks easy basic creamy avocado with tomato and finished with basil leaf that adds to the yum for sure . Tasty !!
I'm part of the minority who loves scones lol so I was excited to try a cafe that specializes in it. I mean it's in the name so it has to be good! Lol. Sadly, the scones were very dry & bland. Pistachio Scone - Just a plain scone with pistachio chunks in it. I was hoping it the scone itself would also be pistachio flavored. Matcha White Chocolate Scone - The matcha flavor was nice, not too overwhelming or bitter. Again, scone was dry. Tiramisu Cream Latte - This was decent. Generous size. Not enough tiramisu flavor.
I don't know where my original pictures went so I will repost and add my latest one of the crossaint panini sandwich which was ever better than the other one I had last time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I did want to add if you want quiet it's a much better to go sit inside than outside. Some people can get kind of loud sometimes and last time there was a guy on his phone by himself just watching loud reels on his phone[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was still good and I would still come back bc it's a cute spot and most days the customers are a little more mindful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
This place is so cute when you go inside! It's a bit hard to find from the outside but if you find their little courtyard you're in the right spot. I got a large and I mean LARGE latte. Big enough to require both hands to drink. Coffee was strong and the dairy ratio was perfect. I also got two scones to try: I got the cheddar and green onion (if I remember correctly) for a savory option and the matcha white chocolate for sweet. I LOVED the cheddar one! It was perfectly soft and moist, not at all dry like some scones could be. Not too salty like other cheese scones. The Matcha one I could do without. It was drier and didn't really have much of a distinct flavor in my opinion. Lots of seating with plenty of outlets for people to work. Fast wifi! People seem to be doing much of this so the space is fairly quiet. The upstairs does feel like it could use a bit of renovating but you could argue that it adds to the charm of the place. Metered parking nearby or free neighborhood parking if you just walk about a block behind the establishment.

The pastries in the display case look absolutely delicious and I enjoyed a few bites of their blueberry muffin. The lady that took our order didn't really chat with us much and just took our orders, but I appreciate her for making note of my girlfriend's nut allergens. The drinks can be substituted with oat milk or almond milk. My girlfriend found her large caramel latte to be very smooth, milky, and super big! The coffee was pretty subtle and sweet to her. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Outlets for personal devices located in the wall, with very comfortable and padded seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good for group hangouts too because there are large wooden bench-style tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bathrooms are small but not in bad condition.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Noticed someone bring their pet dog inside too!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] PS: Their free wifi and pass is printed out on the receipt when you order!!! If a cafe can be a happy place, this is my happy place. From the coffee, to the food, to the varied seating options, everything about Bricks & Scones is wonderful. I only recently discovered it but have come numerous times over the last few months as I was finishing a big project. I've sat here for hours at a time: getting more coffee, moving inside or outside, and enjoying the space while working. There's a unique vibe - it's both communal and independent at the same time. If you want to chat with people around you, that feels like an option. If you want to keep to yourself, you can do that too. Each time I'm there, I've encountered the same shared calm energy that you don't always get at a cafe in a big city.
This is a go-to if you're a café lover who appreciates good coffee, pastries, and a simple but solid menu of sandwiches and salads. There's a garden patio outside--dog-friendly, thankfully--and some upstairs tables if you want a quieter spot. The whole place has that laid-back, back-in-college kind of vibe.
I made a very quick stop at Bricks and Scones - popped in an hour before closing to get some work done. It's very cool inside, feels a bit cramped but they've done a lot with the space to make it feel more cosy than claustrophobic. There were definitely seats available when I stopped in at 6 on a Saturday but I imagine space fills up quick. But ultimately, people were respectful of others when it came to noise. Got a hot tiramasu latte and it was very good. Their menu looks fun and I can't wait to try some more items. Good service, Wifi is very fast, not hard to find an outlet. Solid 4 stars with room for growth once I try more of their menu.

Cute and aesthetic coffee shop with plenty of outlets and wifi! I visited this coffee shop for lunch on a Thursday and it was decently busy. Walking-in, I loved the vibe. There was outdoor and indoor seating and the vibe felt livery homey. It was as if pieces from an old mansion were repurposed to make this cafe. Their menu was big, but ordering was pretty easy. The staff were pretty nice. They gave me a buzzer and buzzed it so I could pick up my order. I sat outside and I was surprised to see plenty of outlets scattered everyone which was rare for LA coffee shops. The outdoor area was also nice and shaded. I ordered the iced tiramisu latte, turkey mozzarella pesto sandwich and matcha white chocolate scone. The latte was okay. It was super rich and thick because of the cream and was also very sweet. It was a bit too indulgent for me though. The sandwich was decently good and the server recommended me to get it on sourdough which was good. The bread was crispy. The sandwich was a bit too wet though since they added a lot of sauce. I also wish they used fresh turkey meat rather than deli slices. They also only gave me a mere two slices of turkey which was very thin compared to the rest of the components so I barely tasted any turkey. The side salad was nice though. Lastly, the scone was okay. It was soft and moist on the inside but the exterior was a bit burnt. My friend seemed to like it more than me. The total for all of these was $28 which was a bit on the pricey side but the food was still decently good. Overall, a good experience here and I would come again. I'm ranking this higher mainly for the vibe and setup. Would love to come back to tre other drinks and food items.

It's a pretty quiet place to get some work done, though you do hear occasionally loud and obnoxious conversation, it passes quickly. People tend to have to vulture around to get a spot inside, especially with outlets, but others are very kind and have no problem about sharing their table. We were lucky enough to find a spot just as someone was leaving, so the table was not able to be cleaned beforehand. In fact, the tables aren't cleaned frequently with the constant traffic, so it'd probably be best to avoid this place during flu season. It's sort of confusing where you leave your dishes after you're done, but it seems like a self-service place since there are grey service bins you'd see at food establishments to collect dishes. Otherwise, the girl at the cashier was also kind enough to take the dishes back. Moving on, I went with the cashier's recommended green tea for my latte with almond milk. When I went to pick up my order, I had to ask the barista which cup was mine, to which he responded that both were the same. A bit unsettling that someone had just happened to order the same exact tea with almond milk, but perhaps it's a common choice here. The green tea latte seemed watered down, but the bright side was that they don't sweeten your tea or latte without your knowledge like other places do. This was ok and went well with the slightly sweet Lavender White Chocolate Scone that they heated up for me. The scone was crumbly and crispy on the exterior and a bit dry inside. I actually quite liked it, though I could taste the oil. Prices are steep for what it is, but considering that people are still willing to come here for a study spot, Bricks & Scones have nothing to worry about. It does get quite stuffy in here and you'll find a nice cross of Ktown and LA bougie, but I got my work done in peace and that's all that matters. read more

After seeing yelp reviews of this place, I was dying to check it out, but I thought it might not be as great as it seemed. Fortunately, it is as good as it seems in pictures. It was a beautiful day and the patio is beautiful. We had no trouble finding a seat. So gorgeous. Patio chairs are more comfortable than most. Everything was delicious. read more
Fantastic little study spot in Larchmont. Parking is rare/impossible but there are meters--but i've you're planning on staying a couple hours I recommend parking in the residential neighborhood right behind this cafe and walking the block back rather than putting money in a meter every 2 hours. The only thing I've ever eaten here is the lemon blueberry scone and it's okay. Honestly not as sweet as I'd like but that's also because I have a huge sweet tooth so take what I said with a grain of salt--or a grain of sugar? Also note: if you're coming here to study and need it to be QUIET, like I do, there's a "quiet" study area upstairs. I say "quiet" instead of just quiet because I mean it's still attached to the rest of the cafe, you can hear what's going on downstairs--the only difference is that no one upstairs is talking. Also, the upstairs is pretty damn tiny, something like 8 little 2 person tables so if you want a spot up there you best get there early. If you don't manage to get a seat up there (I never do) I recommend ear plugs. Actually a recommend ear plugs either way, you can never have too much quiet when you're trying to get work done!! read more

Really cute spot! There's a large array of drinks and food to try out, all of it looks very yummy. I had the breakfast tea latte with the chicken mango sandwich (comes w/ a small side salad) and a scone. Very happy with all three. The scone especially was delightful, with a moist inside and a slightly crispy outside. I'll definitely want to try out other flavors in the future. The atmosphere is really nice too. I spent most of my time outside in the front patio area. There's a lot of seating and the street is pretty quiet, so it's fairly peaceful. Good spot for studying. It is a bit expensive, so if you're trying to save a few bucks, there's other places that are probably better, but for how tasty the food was and how much time I spent there, I think the price was worth it. Okay, I met a friend here and ordered the white chocolate green tea scone and then a second one (cannot recall as it was not memorable) The green tea outclassed the other one to the point where I don't remember the second scone. I gave that one to my friend. Order it slightly heated. The atmosphere is somewhat dark and moody, and on the second floor, think it's an unspoken rule to button up and treat it like a university library . Scones are Starbucks priced, so nothing too crazy, but probably smaller in size. read more
I heard about Bricks and Scones because my friend's friend's friend opened up the place (yes the association is far haha). So on a recent trip to LA I told my friends I had to go! WOW this isn't the type of place I'd think to find in LA. It's cozy, inviting, and I felt like I was lounging in a coffee shop on the east coast (or at least how i imagine independent coffee shops on the east coast) The exterior however is ordinary but I guess it would be a pain to remodel the outside. Had a carmel macchiato which was satisfying. But if it weren't for the fact that I was about to have lunch, i definitely would've gone for a scone. For those that like tea, the tea time special (offered all day) is definitely worth it. The teas come in ipots- so adorable! and for an extra 10 cents you can get a small sampling of lemon curd/jam and something else i forget. The scones weren't ammmmmmmmmmmmmazing like ones i've had at teatime at other places, but their pretty darn good. Extra plus is the study room upstairs (SO my idea for my future coffee house that i hope to someday own) though the downside is that there are windows with no coverings in it so you still get some noise from people walking in (but whose to be so picky about that?) love love loved the place overall- will be back next time im in the area! read more

After picking up some peeps from LAX, we decide to go out for coffee. I decided to bring them to a new place, and found Bricks & Scones on Yelp. After a 45 minute drive in the heat of traffic, we got here. Fortunately, the place was not packed at all, which was surprising for a Friday evening. We found parking across the street, and walked over to the front entrance. There is an outside patio with several tables. No one was sitting there, and that's mainly because it was a very chilly night. The inside was pretty warm. The baristas were to the right, while a small table with water, straws, and condiments sat to the left. Toward the back was a sizable seating area and the restrooms. There were only two other customers there that day, so it was a quiet environment. I ordered an iced latte, and put some cinnamon on top. The latte was pretty good, and gave me my much needed energy. The baristas were nice folks, and made me feel at home. I'd consider coming back here the next time I found myself in this part of Los Angeles. read more

3.5 stars. Sam and I came here on a post rainy Sat lunch time. We love the vibe and the friendly service. Sam's turkey pesto toasted multi grain sandwich was very good although a bit pricey at $8.50. Call us cheap, we don't care as it's true. I hate the parking lot and not a big fan of the dry, biscuity scones. Although I'm told this is how they're made in the U.S. I got the optional lemon curd. It didn't help 'moisturize' my scone! The worst thing about this place is that it's always packed. We waited by the counter and sat at the big table since no one wanted it. Luckily. Then once we dragged on of the power cords over to the table we were set. We sat for 3 hours and watched the place get busier and busier. I mean people sit on the stairs and kids get impatient as trendy parents look around and wonder why they didn't just go to Starbucks instead! PS - nice to see a Korean family doing so well here. read more
Food and coffee are pretty normal here, nothing too special about it. They do have a huge wall menu that offers a lot of choices. Came here to work, ordered croissant sandwich, English Rose tea (w/ milk), and Almond latte. Sandwich was decent, rose tea was just normal and the almond latte was the worst, tasted nothing like almond... The building and decor is probably what is getting ppl's attentions. Suuuuper small parking lot in the back, you're probably better off parking on the streets. Two stories building with quite study upstairs. The down side of this place is there's not enough space, very crowded when it is busy and can get noisy when there are a lot of ppl. They do have quite a lot of outlets though. But that's no use when you can't find a place to sit. You're pretty much back to back with strangers. read more
Cute coffee shop to get some work done but they lack in seating and space. Came on a saturday and we had to resort to outdoor seating. As far as the food, i got their turkey pesto panini (half sandwich for $9). It was good but nothing too special, kinda steep on my opinion. I also ordered the sticky ball which was more of a surprise that it was actually delicious. All in all I'd go back here on a early weekday to try do work as the place offers coffee, pastries, and complete "healthy" meals. read more

What's not to love about unlimited wifi, cute mugs, brick walls, dim lighting, and comfy chairs to work from? I've been here more than a handful of times and it's one of my favorite places in LA to get work done! **The trick is to come early! That way you can: 1. Easily snag a free 2hr parking spot on Rosewood (1/2 block away) 2. Grab a good spot to work from (I'm here just before 9am on a weekday and it's empty!) I'm currently taking a break from coffee (call me insane, I know) soo instead of my usual dairy free latte I went for the English Rose Tea Latte. It is very delish! Tea has a sweet and subtle floral taste. $5.25 seemed pricy but it comes in one size, which is a huge mug so not bad! Tea lovers you gotta try it! read more

Came here to do some studying and it was the perfect atmosphere. The service is quick and the staff is super friendly! The coffee and tea are freshly brewed and always amazing -- you can get them in cute ceramic mugs if you're staying ("for here" rather than "to-go"). There's a room in the back with some tables both small and large/communal, suited for groups and individuals. It's a really nice set-up, with an upstairs quiet reading room and outdoor seating. Plenty of seating. BEST coffee shop/cafe in town by far!! Parking can be a bit of a hassle, but once you're inside, you never want to leave!! read more
This is a cute and chill place to study and relax with some friends. There are two levels with tables and couches on the inside with a nice outdoor patio with enough trees for shade as well as some sun. Coffee: They have Lamill Coffee which is a plus in my book. Food: Supreme Breakfast Sandwich was the healthiest, lightest breakfast sandwich I've ever tasted. It wasn't overly saturated with salt or oil like most other places. The only salty flavor came from the bacon, which was perfect for me. The basil was a nice touch as well. I actually felt like I could have a productive day without any hint of an incoming food coma. read more

I really like this place, but upstairs is soooo dirty. The tables look like they have never been cleaned, they are all super sticky and floors have never been vacuumed. If they neglect this, what else must they neglect?? I expected more from this cafe since they are on Larchmont and serve LaMill coffee. read more
I'm not sure there is a coffee shop with better atmosphere than Bricks and Scones. Doesn't Bricks and Scones sound like an Ivy League club...Skull and Bones? I wonder if the owner(s) are Ivy League grads. Sorry, I digress. The shop is surrounded by a wall of vegetation that completely obstructs the view of the street, providing customers with a break from the concrete jungle. Also, Larchmont Blvd isn't a busy street so once you walk within the perimeter of the shop, it feels like you're somewhere else, far away from the beaten path. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the café of choice for Hollywood stars who want a cup of Joe. The interior offers many plush and comfortable seats and I observed more than a few people talking, relaxing and studying. This didn't surprise me in the least because despite the eclectic interior the space manages to be inviting while evoke warmth and comfort. However, I didn't visit Brick and Scone for the coffee or atmosphere...I came because I heard that they had red velvet cupcakes($3.25). I ordered it with a cup of tea(sorry I forgot how much it was) and sat outside. I assure you it was a great relaxing experience. I would describe their red velvet cupcake as adequate; I've had better. First of all it was normal size; I certainly would not describe them as huge when compared to what I've had at other shops. Also, I'm not sure these cupcakes are made in house, usually I ask and I regret that this time I didn't. It was topped with a cream cheese frosting that wasn't too sweet. The texture of the cake was dry and firm, perhaps they stored them in a refrigerator a little too long. Overall, if I really needed a red velvet cupcake...I may break down and buy it at Brick and Scone. However, this is one of my favorite places to get a cup of coffee or tea and relax regardless of the pastry I decide to purchase. read more

What a charming cafe, or more like a storybook cottage getaway! The breakfast sandwich with egg whites definitely hit the spot! The iced latte was superb. Excellent rich, creamy flavor. There were tons of people quietly reading, working on their laptop (with the free WiFi). People seems really respectful of each other and kept the noise to a minimal. The more chattier groups can always relax in the front of the cafe and enjoy the open air. The street is littered with meter parking but you can always just go a block to the east or west for 2 hours regular street parking. read more
Good foam art! This is a nice and cozy place to relax whether you're traveling (like us) or a local (which most of the patrons appear to be). The portions are hearty with good foam art. They also have a nice set of matcha products (coffee and scones) which we thought were interesting. Overall a good experience. read more

Bricks & Scones is my go to spot for studying, reading and completing work. The cafe is quaint, cozy and warm. The sweet aroma from the espresso certainly draws you in the cafe. My protein bowl was fresh, light and super healthy. It consisted of mixed greens with chicken breast, quinoa, garbanzo beans, tomatoes, avocados, olives, and cucumbers with feta cheese. read more

This place is cute. There is plenty of outdoor seating, decent amount of seating indoors and upstairs. This would be a cute date spot, but it seems a lot of people come here to work or study. Therefore most of the seats were taken inside. The place seemed clean and the interior and decorations were aesthetically pleasing. As for the 3 stars, the green tea latte wasn't very good. It was very bitter. I wanted to like the food/drinks here, but I was unfortunately not impressed. The cupcake was dry and too sweet. I didn't have a coffee so I can't say if that was good or not. There is limited parking on the lot or you can find street parking. I parked in the plaza next door.... the stores were closed, but I don't think I was supposed to park there. I probably would return to this place for hanging out or studying, but wouldn't come here for the drinks/food. ` read more

Great food. Ordered a bagel with cream cheese, bacon and eggs. Delicious. I'm glad I get to dine outside, I haven't dine outside in quite a while so it's very pleasant. The prices was a little expensive , it was the only thing I considered ordering. However I really like the aesthetics of the area. The outdoor dining area looked really nice. There's enough tables with a umbrella or top cover to protect from the rain or sun and some tables are enough to accommodate a group of four people. Saw a cute white girl, really attractive. The cafe was located in Larchmont, an area that seemed middle class and feels suburban. It was really spectacular to walk and view in the place. read more

Hello! We are sorry your tea is no longer served at our cafe. They are from Lupicia Tea in Japan. We had stopped receiving them because Lupicia Tea had closed their North American branch. Hopefully you can find them online!
Is the wifi password protected? Are there enough seating and outlets for you to plug in and work?
Yes, a password is required and there are a good amount of wall outlets, but it's hard to get them.
