I went to Brio today as it was my friend's birthday and that is the restaurant she chose. I would not go back again. Food was bland and lacking seasoning. Broccolini was so al dente that my molars hurt after chewing. Garlic mashed potatoes was tasteless, could not identify any garlic. They were dry and stiff. The sauce on the lasagna was bitter tasting. The ricotta was not creamy, mozzarella only on the top. Could not find any in the layers. Lasagna noodles were hard and dry. Even though the waiter said they were boiled noodles, they appeared like the no boil ones. ​​For the prices they charge, the quality was not commensurate. Our waiter, Dominick was very good and attentive, however the restaurant was not busy. The only saving grace was the chocolate lava type cake with ice cream for dessert. If you are a "Foodie" this is not the restaurant for you. read more

Had a pretty nice dinner at Brio on Sunday night. We got the Shrimp and Eggplant appetizer which we were not really sure how it would be but we both like those items and it was absolutely delicious. The black pepper cream sauce was delightful, we could have drank it like a soup. I got the Strawberry Balsamic Chicken Salad which was the perfect salad. Husband enjoyed the Grilled Salmon Fresca which had a lot of great flavors and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly and attentive, it was a few tables when we got there for early dinner, but we were happy to see more people coming in For the large party dinner crowd. We celebrated my brother's graduation at Brio and had a nice experience. The restaurant itself is very large and beautifully decorated. Our party started with some sangria, which had some mixed reactions. Some found it to be too light/sweet, while others enjoyed it. We also received some bread, which was delicious. As appetizers, we ordered the calamari and spinach and artichoke dip - I loved both and absolutely would order them again! The Parmesan crisps that came with the dip were so good. As entrees, our table tried many items. I myself had the Sicilian shrimp pasta and some of the chicken Milanese. I found the Sicilian shrimp pasta to have a pretty strong flavor, so if you do not particularly like the flavor of Kalamata Olives, it may not be right for you. The chicken Milanese was good, but not anything extremely out of the ordinary. What was really fun was the dessert, which was a giant glass of ice cream with brownies and whipped cream, topped with a sparkler! Our table of 12 shared this and it was the perfect sweet touch at the end of the meal. The service was nice, with our waitress ensuring we had what we needed. 1st of all, if you aren't familiar with Broward Mall, you might get lost, like I did. It's a bit confusing- luckily- a nice woman helped me find it. Came with a group & we had to order ahead. The restaurant is very nice & we had a couple of tables in the back for large groups. We started with Caesar salad. I selected chicken Marsala that came with mashed potatoes & asparagus. I enjoyed both. For dessert we were given mini cannoli's with coffee. I was full at this point & asked for the cannoli's to go. It's been a few months since the last visit to Brio, so a lunch reservation was booked for today. As usual, the ambiance inside the restaurant was inviting as I took a seat at the bar. My server, Yushondria, was very pleasurable as she nicely greeted me and took my drink & food order. I wasn't surprised that I quickly finished the mango ice tea, I was quite parched from being out in the sizzling heat. My drink was immediately refilled as the shrimp & scallop risotto was placed in front of me. It looked appetizing and it was so good. The risotto was nicely cooked tona soft creamy consistency with mushrooms, shrimp, tiny scallops, and truffle oil. I was looking forward to dessert and ordered the chocolate chip bread pudding, which was really delectable. Served warm, oozing with chocolatey-chip goodness and topped with vanilla Gelato. I savored every bite until my stomach was full to capacity. I had a very enjoyable lunch at Brio. Looking forward to coming back to try another delicious dish. read more

My Book Club is always looking for places to meet where we can talk, have some food and drink and just relax. On a recent Saturday afternoon, Brio Tuscan Grille was just that place. We arrived around noon and I was surprised to find we had the place mostly to ourselves. They sat our larger group at a table in the main dining room and said it was "brunch" and that we could choose off their breakfast or lunch menu. Well I choose to do a little of both with a well poured Bloody Mary from the bar and Lobster and Shrimp Fettucine as my entree. The food was good and came out quickly. Our server, Elder, handled the entire table by himself and did a great job. So why my mediocre rating? There was a water leak in the ceiling in the next section. They had it cordoned off but for some reason, right in the middle of our lunch the manager grabbed a broom handle and pushed up on the ceiling tile allowing all the captive water to splash down in the restaurant. Yuck. Seems like that should have been done at night or close the restaurant and do it as who knows what splashed around with that water. This would have beena 4 star review without that drama. Anyway- I don't eat at Brio often but I do appreciate that they allow larger groups to meet in their locations. This one just needs to get their roof fixed! read more

I was skeptical about eating here, it's been many years since I did. I was very pleasantly surprised by the food. We were seated and given menus and then a waiter never came by so we flagged a waiter who was very nice and waited on us. I wanted the gnocchi which was listed as a side dish. The waiter told me that it was more like an entree sized portion and she was correct. I had the gnocchi with shrimp, the gnocchi was excellent. I am updating my review. Our server was awesome, ugh but I forgot to get his name. My friend had lots of questions and he was super patient. He is a really nice guy. We were on the patio on 2/8/2025 at 2:30pm. I always order the Padta Brio. I love it. But I wanted to try the Chicken Milanese based off Jo H's review. It sounded really good. When I received it, the chicken was way overcooked. The spaghetti was so soft. It tasted ok I guess but I just wanted my Pasta Brio back. The Pasta Brio was still ok. I remember it being much better at their Pines location. The chopped salad was good. Tiramisu was not great. It lacked flavor. My friend's son did not love his pizza. My friend enjoyed her meal. Two of her pieces of silverware were dirty and needed to be exchanged. Just not the best experience but awesome service so I was not too upset. read more

On our way from a rough day and stopped here for apps and a drink. The outside patio had a nice cozy feel to it and had a couple parties eating outside as the weather was beautiful. The inside was very comfortable with dim lights and dark wood. We decided to sit at the bar for faster service and got a quick "I'll be right with you" from the bartender and didn't see him again for 15 mins. It didn't seem busy but the staff seemed a little overwhelmed. The hostess made a rare appearance to seat a few parties that gathered at the front while we were still waiting to get a drink order in. I had an aperol spritz which was made perfectly. We ordered a delicious shrimp with fried eggplant in a creamy peppercorn sauce dish! It was amazing! Hubby ordered a Margarita pizza which was good. Not a big pizza fan. My biggest disappointment was in the lobster bisque. It was so salty I couldn't eat it! When I asked to return it, the bartender said they changed the recipe and many other customers did the same. May have to give it another try. read more

What can I say? Brio is one of my go to spots with my good friend when we want to stay local and meet up after work. Their happy hour is pretty good. We love our dirty martinis with blu cheese stuffed olives! We like to go Thursdays. They have a decent martini deal that we enjoy. Ambience was modern Italian bistro. We had a young server, who was very nice. The restaurant was empty, we were one of the few tables who were served during lunchtime. We started off with the bread, which was delicious. I had multiple pieces, 8/10. I asked for water multiple times, and he kept giving me new cups. I had 4 cups by the end of my meal, which was quite surprising. I had chicken Bolognese, which tasted good. They gave me a small piece of chicken, with a little bit of cheese on top, and a large plate of salad. I wish they put more chicken on my plate. I asked for Parmesan cheese, and it was delicious. Came down on a business trip with hubby and needed a quick nutritious lunch that didn't break the bank. We found this place within walking distance of the hotel and thought the menu looked decent. When we arrived, the hostess was pleasant, the atmosphere was fun, busy, but not chaotic even with the large parties scattered around the room. My waitress started out pleasant and helpful, but then she got swamped. All of a sudden she was gone. Three different people brought food and when I got my chicken sandwich it wasn't cooked through all the way. Hubby was done with his entree ten minutes before I got my food. And there was nothing nutritious about it. Breaded, fried dark and covered in mayonnaise with buttered bread and buttery potatoes. The mushroom soup had so much salt I couldn't finish it. I should have asked how everything was prepared but I didn't. But all the menu items were 300 calories or more. I guess I wanted more from my Italian Bistro than humanly possible. But are chain restaurants trying to kill us? Seriously. Do they think we won't eat food that isn't cured in salt and fried in oil? Why can't corporate America get with the idea that fresh, healthy food can be prepared cheaply. Oh well. Rant over. 100% don't recommend. read more

Trying Brio was an interesting experience. There was almost no one in the restaurant for a weekend and our waiter couldn't have seemed more disinterested in helping us. The food was okay. Nothing special but also not terrible. It's your typical Italian food. No frills, nothing special, just pasta and sauce. We sat outside so there wasn't really any specific vibe or ambience that we got to experience. Just a patio overlooking a parking lot by the mall. We love this location especially airy when the weather is cool. This location gets very busy as they mostly do for the Brio restaurants. Although this location is further for us we love this location most of all. Hostess is hospitable always. Our waiter was Pinto for a busy place only two waiters were available on a Monday evening around 7:00pm. Pinto never missed a beat always attentive from the beginning to the end. Great place! So I've had a few off experiences with Brio throughout the years but the food is what always saves the day. Service has been off or spotty, but I love the carpaccio, strawberry chicken salad and calamari enough that it always kept me coming back. This last time I went, will be my last time. The carpaccio I was served was garnished with a big wet black ball of rotten lettuce. The calamari was so overcooked it was beyond chewy and the meat itself had actually turned brown. It was also not warm at all so I know I was served something that was probably cooked 20 - 30 minutes prior. They were completely understaffed, which they always are, but when there's an issue with your food and there's no one around to resolve it.......It's disheartening. The manager was more like a TGI Friday's, McDonald's type. Clueless, a bit of a slob and didn't care at all, actually nobody cared. Nobody checked on us and it took me about 30 minutes to get the rotten food removed from my check. I was gonna order the strawberry balsamic salad after my carpaccio, but considering I was served completely rotten lettuce with my carpaccio it was more than enough for me to completely write them off. I mean, if you can't keep your lettuce, fresh and edible what are you thinking offering raw meat?!?!? RIP Brio. There is definitely a reason why they're closing left and right and I found out why. read more

his was my first visit to a Brio Italian Grill. I was visiting family in Ft. Lauderdale & decided to try it out. It was amazing! I was very impressed with the quality & quantity of food. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was superb - quiet music, beautiful decor and tablecloths! BUT . . . the icing on the cake was the manager. He came outside & gave our car a jump when it wouldn't start. This was above and beyond great service and I cannot say enough how much this meant to us. I was with my 82 yr old aunt and my uncle was at home in a wheelchair unable to help us. All her friends were out of town because of the holiday. What a blessing Leo was!! We were not really hungry, but wanted to have a little toast, and nibble on something... missed their happy hour that brings those small plates so we could nibble On a couple things- really did not feel like ordering a big plate... so we ordered our drinks (a dirty martini for me and a big glass of red for him!) and chose a wedge salad for an appetizer. It was delicious! They brought our wedge already cut into 2 so we could both share, and let me say it was a Big Wedge!! Having had that... and the warm bread... we really didn't feel like anything else... And then we saw the Tiramisu picture and decided to share one. Great choice, luscious dessert! The staff was very attentive and friendly! We had a wonderful experience. I found the white peach sangria extremely refreshing and the house picco rosso a great pairing to the fettuccine. We started out to with the spinach and artichoke dip and we were instantly in love with it. The crispy parmesan flatbread chips were great even by itself. I had the pasta brio with the mushrooms and pasta in roasted red pepper cream. It tasted like a dream. The lobster and shrimp fettuccine was fresh and creamy as well. Exactly what we each wanted. I'm writing this review on behalf of my mom and my aunt, who uses a wheelchair. They recently visited this restaurant hoping to enjoy a relaxing happy hour, but instead were met with rudeness and poor treatment. When they arrived, the lady at the bar kindly said they could sit at a regular table for happy hour, since my aunt physically cannot sit at the bar due to her wheelchair. That accommodation seemed reasonable, and they appreciated the understanding--at first. Unfortunately, that changed quickly when the manager came over and was completely rude and unprofessional. Rather than showing any empathy or willingness to accommodate someone with mobility challenges, the manager seemed more concerned with enforcing policy than showing basic human decency. The tone was condescending and dismissive, making my mom and aunt feel completely unwelcome. Stating "This is the last time you'll be ever able to this" . We will NEVER BE GOING BACK. read more
