    Lobster and shrimp fettucine
    Carol K.

My Book Club is always looking for places to meet where we can talk, have some food and drink and just relax. On a recent Saturday afternoon, Brio Tuscan Grille was just that place. We arrived around noon and I was surprised to find we had the place mostly to ourselves. They sat our larger group at a table in the main dining room and said it was "brunch" and that we could choose off their breakfast or lunch menu. Well I choose to do a little of both with a well poured Bloody Mary from the bar and Lobster and Shrimp Fettucine as my entree. The food was good and came out quickly. Our server, Elder, handled the entire table by himself and did a great job. So why my mediocre rating? There was a water leak in the ceiling in the next section. They had it cordoned off but for some reason, right in the middle of our lunch the manager grabbed a broom handle and pushed up on the ceiling tile allowing all the captive water to splash down in the restaurant. Yuck. Seems like that should have been done at night or close the restaurant and do it as who knows what splashed around with that water. This would have beena 4 star review without that drama. Anyway- I don't eat at Brio often but I do appreciate that they allow larger groups to meet in their locations. This one just needs to get their roof fixed!

I was skeptical about eating here, it's been many years since I did. I was very pleasantly surprised by the food. We were seated and given menus and then a waiter never came by so we flagged a waiter who was very nice and waited on us. I wanted the gnocchi which was listed as a side dish. The waiter told me that it was more like an entree sized portion and she was correct. I had the gnocchi with shrimp, the gnocchi was excellent. My friend had a pasta and chicken dish, which he liked.

Wide shot of the cripsy calamari and two dipping sauces. YUM!!!!

Ambiance, Excellent!!!! Service, from our bartender (Antonio??) was superb!!! Happy Hour food choices and prices, may be the BEST in Plantation! I can't wait to go back!!! The vibe is so friendly, and we took a pizza and salad to go! Just WONDERFUL!

I am updating my review. Our server was awesome, ugh but I forgot to get his name. My friend had lots of questions and he was super patient. He is a really nice guy. We were on the patio on 2/8/2025 at 2:30pm. I always order the Padta Brio. I love it. But I wanted to try the Chicken Milanese based off Jo H's review. It sounded really good. When I received it, the chicken was way overcooked. The spaghetti was so soft. It tasted ok I guess but I just wanted my Pasta Brio back. The Pasta Brio was still ok. I remember it being much better at their Pines location. The chopped salad was good. Tiramisu was not great. It lacked flavor. My friend's son did not love his pizza. My friend enjoyed her meal. Two of her pieces of silverware were dirty and needed to be exchanged. Just not the best experience but awesome service so I was not too upset.

On our way from a rough day and stopped here for apps and a drink. The outside patio had a nice cozy feel to it and had a couple parties eating outside as the weather was beautiful. The inside was very comfortable with dim lights and dark wood. We decided to sit at the bar for faster service and got a quick "I'll be right with you" from the bartender and didn't see him again for 15 mins. It didn't seem busy but the staff seemed a little overwhelmed. The hostess made a rare appearance to seat a few parties that gathered at the front while we were still waiting to get a drink order in. I had an aperol spritz which was made perfectly. We ordered a delicious shrimp with fried eggplant in a creamy peppercorn sauce dish! It was amazing! Hubby ordered a Margarita pizza which was good. Not a big pizza fan. My biggest disappointment was in the lobster bisque. It was so salty I couldn't eat it! When I asked to return it, the bartender said they changed the recipe and many other customers did the same. May have to give it another try.

I am a Brio Italian Grille fan! I was sad when the Buckhead (Atlanta) location closed. Luckily, I was in South Florida for work and found a location. I made it just in time for happy hour. I had the beef carpaccio and the chicken salad. Both were delicious and the service was top notch!!!!!

What can I say? Brio is one of my go to spots with my good friend when we want to stay local and meet up after work. Their happy hour is pretty good. We love our dirty martinis with blu cheese stuffed olives! We like to go Thursdays. They have a decent martini deal that we enjoy. The staff are very friendly as well and the bartenders definitely know what they are doing! Highly recommend

Ambience was modern Italian bistro. We had a young server, who was very nice. The restaurant was empty, we were one of the few tables who were served during lunchtime. We started off with the bread, which was delicious. I had multiple pieces, 8/10. I asked for water multiple times, and he kept giving me new cups. I had 4 cups by the end of my meal, which was quite surprising. I had chicken Bolognese, which tasted good. They gave me a small piece of chicken, with a little bit of cheese on top, and a large plate of salad. I wish they put more chicken on my plate. I asked for Parmesan cheese, and it was delicious. Probably will not be coming back

My experience at the Plantation location has been PHENOMENAL! Chef Darien put his heart and soul into making our dishes. And our waitress Shanna gave the absolute BEST service! I will definitely be back and hope to see Shanna and Chef Damien again. Thanks for the great service.

Sidecar Speakeasy was the play... The speakeasy entrance was hidden in a hallway you can walk right by without even noticing. I dig it. Once inside, it's dark. Most of the light is coming from the light showcasing the bottles in the bar. The seating is a little tight as they're trying to maximize space for such a small area. We visited here twice during my visit: We sat at a table and a bar. You have the perfect amount of space for your party, but you're pretty close to the next table or bar seat. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there. He was super creative with every cocktail which made for a great time. They stayed upon until midnight one one visit and until 1 am on the other one. Both my visits were on a weekday. The sidecar speakeasy is easily my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale and I have a feeling I'll be back. Enjoy!

I can confidently say they delivered on one of those things, the experience. Unfortunately, the food felt like a failed attempt to escape... an escape room. Let's start with what absolutely works. The location is stunning. Truly breathtaking. The views are spectacular, the atmosphere is elegant, and the setting makes you feel like you have unlocked a premium level of Fort Lauderdale nightlife. The service is upscale and unhurried. No one rushes you, no one pressures you, and you are encouraged to linger and enjoy the moment. From a vibe perspective, you are winning. The drink menu is limited, but what they offer is top notch. Well crafted, balanced, and enjoyable. Think of the drinks as the first puzzle you solve successfully. Confidence is high at this point. Then the food arrives, and this is where the escape attempt starts to fall apart. We began with the bruschetta, which was absolutely dominated by balsamic. Not gently accented. Not thoughtfully drizzled. This was a full-scale balsamic ambush that completely overwhelmed the dish. Puzzle one failed. Next came the octopus. Perfectly cooked. Tender. Juicy. Textbook execution. Unfortunately, the flavor was nowhere to be found. Every bite was completely hijacked by the beans in the dish, leaving the octopus feeling like a background prop in its own plate. Puzzle two failed, morale dropping. Then came the calamari and mussels. Once again, the seafood was cooked properly, but flavor had clearly escaped through a hidden exit. Bland, forgettable, and confusing in how something prepared this well could taste like so little. Puzzle three failed, clock ticking. The fourth dish was the caprese salad, which somehow managed to swing in the opposite direction of the bruschetta. The tomatoes tasted like they were fresh from a grocery store shelf. The balsamic barely showed up this time, as if it had used up all its energy earlier. The mozzarella sat there watery and bland, contributing nothing and offering no clues. Final puzzle failed. Escape attempt unsuccessful. By the end of the meal, I felt like I had just spent two hours in an escape room where everything looked incredible, the staff was friendly, the room design was flawless, but none of the puzzles worked and you never actually escaped. Overall, Escape Rooftop Bar delivers breathtaking views, excellent service, and strong drinks. But the food turns the entire experience into a beautifully designed trap. When expectations are sky high and the kitchen cannot deliver, the disappointment hits harder. Two stars, awarded for the scenery, the cocktails, and the hope that one day the food finds the exit.
