A pile of meat that isn't burnt ends. Looks like canned meat.

I used to love this place! They were so good and cared about your bbq. Now it seems like they've really lost it. I just ordered a pound of burnt ends and they looked awful. They aren't burned at all, and they just sourced them in sauce. The last time I had them they were a little crispy and actually a little burnt and perfect. Its honeslty looks like canned meat.

Turkey and jalapeño, cheddar tots - yum!

Broken Bones BBQ is delicious. I have been here a dozen times or so and also had their catering. A few of my favorites include their brisket, the Turkey and jalapeño cheddar tots. Their baked potatoes, potato salad and okra also make my list. I make a point to swing in for some tots even if I'm headed out of town in a hurry. Go give them some love; this family run business is worth your patronage.

Every year for my birthday I have bbq for dinner. This year we were going to go to Front Range BBQ but they are not open on Tuesday's so I picked Broken Bones. I should have waited until Wednesday to go to Front Range. I'm going to keep this short and sweet because I'm am soooo tired of shitty service. The cashier had the most stank attitude I have encountered in a while. She told us she was going to be cleaning g the dinning room because they stop taking done ins soon and we were like okay. She the. Was like well what do you want? We were like we have not been here before and she was like well there's the menu do you know what you want? Whoa! I said we don't have to come here again and she just stared at us with this super stank face. We should have left then but we made the trip here so let's try the food. I ordered the 3 meat plate with burnt ends, chicken, and ribs with fries and Texas toast. So fries were under cooked how?! How does that happen??? And as you can see in the picture the basket was full of oil, how??? From what??? The burnt ends were pretty dry so not from those. Ribs can't really be oily. The chicken? Hmmmm I've never had oily bbq chicken. While we were eating another couple came in and that stank cashier told them the dinning room was closing so they left. After they left we heard her telling someone in the back....yeah I told them we're closing so they need to go somewhere else haha. Wtf?!!!So over all my bday dinner was a bust. I would NEVER suggest this place and the cashier should be ashamed of herself.

2 Meat Plate - Brisket and Sausage with Fries and Toast (Not GF)

We are looking for awesome BBQ in the Springs area and were hopeful this restaurant would be our new go-to for BBQ away from home. Overall, I would eat here again but I am also interested in comparing this location to the other one in Monument. I ordered the 2 Meat Plate with Pulled Pork and Brisket (all meats here are Gluten Free). The Pulled Pork had a soft texture to it that felt more like eating pulled chicken and little to no smoke flavor. The brisket was tender and pulled apart easily with a fork. It had a clear smoke ring and dark bark. The look and feel of the brisket did not match the taste. Again, I could not taste any smoke flavor, black pepper or salt. The side dish I ordered was the baked beans (Gluten free) and I asked to skip the bread (not Gluten free). The baked beans were by far the best thing I had. They had a smoky, sweet flavor in the sauce that was balanced by the savory texture and flavor of the beans. My husband ordered the 2 Meat Plate with Brisket and Spicy Sausage. His side item was fries (more like large potato wedges) and bread. When I asked him to describe his food he said "Meh.". He had the same opinion of the Brisket, the sausage had good flavor but not a lot of heat, the fries were under seasoned and the bread was a little too charred on one side and not charred enough on the other.

Triple B does an excellent job with the menu. We've ordered from here a couple of times and the food has been tasty , especially the baked beans, but also the meats. The cheese and jalapeño sausages were quite good with just enough heat to make it interesting: the twice baked brisket with burnt ends was also good but a bit too much sauce. We were also pleased with the pulled pork and chicken, and two of our party actually liked the smoked flavor of the latter the most. Onion rings were crispy and the sweet potato fries similar. The hickory and original sauces were both appreciated, but the former was the favorite. However, we've not yet tried the spicy one yet. Service is excellent. Very nice place to pick up grub on the way home.

I wrote a review about six months ago on their Monument location. I raved about the incredibly perfect beef brisket sandwich. Well, this location makes the exact same brisket sandwich, and that's a good thing. Again, very moist, smoky flavor and aroma. Nice amount of crust. Sauce on the side, as it should be. See the red band just under the surface of each slice? That's the smoke ring. It means that they know how to smoke brisket. Very generous with the amount of slices on the bun. I'll be back!

$18 for some burnt ends on top of mac-n-cheese and tater tots. Overpriced.

So being in Colorado Springs, Rudy's was calling. Ordered half pound of moist brisket, 1/4 lb pulled pork, Cole slaw, corn on the cob, banana pudding, and peach cobbler. The order taker was very nice and polite and ordering was quick and easy. There was a bar with pickles, onions, jalapeños, etc. regular and sissy sauce at the table(you don't need it on the brisket). The Cole slaw..well it was Cole slaw. My wife loved the corn on the cob. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful. The brisket was just amazing. Juicy, tender without being mushy, and a deep Smokey flavor. And the bark...my lord....so delicious. I was very very happy. Def in a moist brisket coma afterwards. Only disappointment was the deserts. Not very good. Wife did not like the banana pudding and the cobbler crust had zero crunch..like it was soft. I probably would not order that again. But overall super happy! You guys ever want to put one in Los Angeles or OC? Other out of states chains have done well...notably Portillos (Chicago based beef sandwich chain) in Buena Park. You'd blow everyone else out of the water(though I haven't tried Heritage in South OC).

I have not experienced that since my second to last trip to Michigan, and the best way to describe the smell is that the most glorious cuts of proteins are waiting for your palate. The inside of the place has a rustic sort of appearance and the parking doesn't cost anything - you're basically walking into a cabin full of what I am sure are culinary gods. For this particular order, I went with the three meat combo with two sides. For my proteins, I went with kielbasa, pulled pork and burnt ends. The kielbasa itself is royalty on a plate - the perfect balance of smoke, char and spices. Hall of fame worthy and it more than puts any other place's offerings to the test - Slows BBQ of Detroit, as much as I love you all, Front Range delivers perfection here. The pulled pork was next, and it too was perfection - great amount of moisture still in it and the taste made my taste buds sing. The burnt ends? Generous portions and when paired with the sweet and spicy sauce, it is like candy cut from a rib of perfection. The sides were next. I'm not exactly sure what they put into the potato salad, but the bacon had a perfect crunch and the potatoes themselves had a pleasant smoky taste that is the perfect ratio. The fried okra itself you could easily eat by the bucket, which speaks volumes to me. I even ended up walking out with a cookbook on hand and a bottle of mustard wine sauce. The owners did their homework here, and delivered a feast worthy of Mt. Olympus itself. If you're in the area and on the hunt for perfection, look no further - this palace of proteins is all you even need to know about. I live for the day when the owner behind this masterpiece is on BBQ Brawl and destroys the competition enough to let Colorado reign forever.

First off, the interior is really fun and interesting. I sat at the bar. The selection of small batch locally made beer was impressive. I ended up getting an orange blossom beer that was suggested by the bartender. So good!! I wasn't very hungry so they let me order the child's plate and I got brisket. The server suggested I try the red beans and rice. I was a little skeptical because I've spent a lot of time in New Orleans, and had some of the best. I was so impressed, I almost wished that I had just ordered a bowl of beans and rice. The brisket was really tender as well. Very friendly service and food appeared in minutes after I ordered. Really great place. .

The indoor seating filled up very quickly and it was just a bit too chilly to sit outside in the shade today. Everyone seems to talk about the line that forms before the restaurant opens. I stood and chatted with folks waiting in line. The folks that were doing the meat smoking and taking orders were all SUPER FRIENDLY even though they were also working so diligently to get orders prepared and customer orders ready. The food! We ordered so much food. We'll be eating BBQ all weekend. We got a pound of brisket. This was smart because damn, it's delicious! I love that they cut it thick. Its perfectly smoked and not too fatty, though they also sell a moister brisket too. We got a full rack of pork ribs too! This is a lot, but also absolutely phenomenal taste and chew! Perfectly smoked! We got potato salad, coleslaw and beans. All fantastic and at an affordable price. We couldn't pass up the cobbler and got both the peach and the bourbon pecan cobblers. I'm so full. Time for a nap. But I've already decided this is where I'm going for my birthday next month. I loved The Chuckwagon!

We used to buffalo gals for our wedding and food was great. Just a few points of miscommunication that caused a bit of unnecessary stress on my wedding day is why the loss of a stars. We were told that the one guest who was celiac and one guest who was vegetarian were going to have a plated meal to prevent risk of cross contamination and would ensure they had their food. We were told not to stress as they would be plated and given to the guests as they were given the guests names and could work with the seating chart. I noticed that the guest who was vegetarian was only eating sides so I had asked and she said she didn't know there was a separate meal. the celiac guest who luckily got to go through the buffet first did not have issues as she did get to go first but could've caused severe outcomes for her if she did have cross contamination. After talking with catering staff onsite they said they were told that the guest has to ask for it which was complete opposite of what was originally communicated, and they were deeply sorry. So just miscommunication with one that actually could've caused permanent harm if she had ingested gluten. We also paid an additional fee for grilling to be onsite, due to fire ban that was unable to occur. We understand that is not within our control but no where in the contract does it say that it is not refundable, so they just held onto that fee even though they didn't provide the service. When asked about the refund I was told the fee was for the tri-tip to be cooked on a specific grill but nowhere does that say that in our contract and was NEVER communicated - because if it was not onsite we were told the way it was cooked was the same - we thought we really were just paying for the experience of it being onsite. So biggest tip for anyone going through them is get everything in writing with clear communication and clarification, because without that they don't care to help.

So I grabbed a seat at the stickiest table I think I've ever sat at in my life. After waiting for about 15 minutes and never hearing my name, I noticed a guy walked up to the counter and was handed a black bag. Next to the bag they handed him sat another black bag. I wonder if that's mine, I thought. So I walked back up to the order pickup area and asked they guy, "Did you call my name, Barry?" He checked all the tickets lined up and said to me in the most smug tone he could muster, "Dude, I don't have anyone named Barry". And then just went back to doing whatever. I said, "Hey man, do you not remember? I was just up here looking for my ToGo order. You told me you guys were ba..." and he cut me off and goes, "Oh ToGo?" And then walks over to the black bag that was sitting there and goes, "Barry?" I nod, and he snatched the back up and slings it on the counter and goes back to doing whatever. I said, "Hey man, how long has it been sitting there?" He smugly replied (as if I was a burden) "probably like five minutes" When I asked how come he didn't call me he just ignored me. He just turned around and went back to doing whatever, totally ignoring me.I said, "Look man, I don't want to get back to my hotel (about 10 minutes away) and my food be cold." He just looked at me and shrugged and went back to ignoring me, as if I was a burden to him and the store. I said "hey man, I think it's BS you're ignoring me" to which he just turned around and walked away. Honestly he's lucky I didn't pull him across the counter and teach him some manners, because his momma obviously didn't. Also, the food sucked. But I'm not sure if it was because, and as I suspected, when I got back to the hotel both burgers and the fries were cold. It was so bad we didn't even eat it. We just threw it away. An absolute waste of $40 (and if I'm being honest, I'm not even sure if hot the food would be worth those prices). Any way this place sucks and I hope and bunch of terrible stuff happens to that dude.
