Good food for sure. I had the pizza omlette and it was so tasty. Pretty pricey, but it comes with more than enough food to fill you up.

I moved my last rating from a 2 to 3. The food is very good, but I am starting to realize the busier the place, the more shaky the service is. It is better from my last review 8 months ago. So at least I know they are working on it. But once again, the food is good. read more

Tarissa (a server) started to scream at other people and cursing fairly loud that towards the end of our decent breakfast. This did not make me happy at all. No one ever told her to tone it down. And she will scream and curse at other employees, while she will hug and joke around with others. She is either bipolar or obviously picking favorites. As a server, I'm sure this takes lots a patience, but you should NEVER scream at some one like that. But our server, Jim, did a good job at keeping us happy. I'm not sure if he knew about the situation, but he was doing an Awsome job and keeping up with our needs. Thanks Jim. You helped give this Review 2 extra stars. Came here with my family and let me say this - the portions are HUGE. In fact, we had breakfast at about 11am and we were not hungry till 7pm! My husband got the pancakes which were bigger than his head, and my daughter got a kid meal which she couldn't even finish either. Everything was very good and we had great service too. This location of this restaurant is what you'd expect from a joint serving the breakfast crowd. The food is very good. Some items taste better than others but all good to very good. I'm a fan of the savory and what I order is consistently consistent. I prefer poached medium and that's what I get every time. The order to table times are usually consistent but I've never had to wait too long. The service is efficient and mostly friendly. I think that the 'friendly' could be more consistent across the board but you can only go so far with that as an owner or manager. Some servers aren't morning people so I guess I can understand that. I come here for the food and I've never been disappointed. read more

One if the best Burgers I've ever had. The staff was unbelievably attentive and everyone seemed to be helping each other out by working as a team. I went in with my family for lunch and we had a server take our order. They were good at being responsive to our modifications. Came here with my husband around 7am for breakfast. Our servers name was Herica and she was great! We had one of their breakfast specials for $4.99, such a great deal and good sized portions. The food is pretty good, it does depend on what you get of coarse... Not everything is the best. My hash browns were a little uncooked but even though Herica had a big party for what looked like an award ceremony, she took them back and came back twice to make sure that I was happy with them and that they came out the way I wanted. My coffee stayed fill and they have a great team of well trained employees. I will definitely be back! read more

I have been to broken yolk a few times since we are done in the north county San Diego area quite a bit. I have been to their Oceanside, San Marcos and Temecula locations. I usually have a great experience but this time it was a total fail. I ordered chilaquiles and given that it is an American family restaurant and not a traditional Mexican restaurant I did not think it would be a fire in mouth, but I was wrong. Not sure if the chef/cook was upset while making the sauce but OMG it was a five alarm fire. Though we told out waitress Herica that the chilaquiles were extremely spicy she did nothing except offer water. I also ordered chicken in the chilaquiles and apparently it was hidden under some chips. The best I can say about my meal today is that the beans were good. Sorry broken yolk but breakfast was a fail today. Herica should have offered something beside ice water. Great customer service training, management. Bottom line avoid the chilaquiles unless you need to clear your sinuses, need a good cry and need your mouth to go numb. Update: Came back to BYC today for breakfast. This experience was wonderful. Eric is amazing if you are able to sit in his section you must. Jim Hester was great. The food was awesome the SBA omelette was yummy. The steak and eggs was great and the chicken fried steak was wonderful. Great start to thanksgiving. Again high praise to Eric. Jim all of your servers need to be as awesome as Eric.
