We were in town for a wedding in Crestline and decided to stop here on our way back to LA, and what a great decision that was! The wait always quick and totally worth it! We visited early on Thursday, hoping it wouldn't be packed yet and we were in luck. It was fairly empty, only 3 other parties there at the time. We were seated right away. Our order was taken at 7:25 and even though it wasn't busy at all, it took a full 30 minutes to get our order, which was just 2 plates. So that was definitely too long. Our order: Meat lover skillet 16.45 Caprese Benedicts 16.45 Orange juice 5.95 2 brewed coffees 7.90 Tax 3.62 Total 50.37 My husband liked the flavor of his meat lover skillet, but thought the portion was too small considering the high price of 16.45 The Caprese benedicts were good. The eggs were perfectly soft and I liked the flavor of the pesto and added arugula. I just wish they would grill/cook the tomato slices, because the raw cold tomato throws the whole thing off, when muffin, eggs and sauce are warm. The plain brewed coffee was not very good, just tasted like burnt cheap Folgers. The glass of OJ is too expensive at 5.95. For that I can buy a whole gallon. Next time I need to pay more attention to the drink prices, so that's on me. Overall the flavor/taste and presentation of the food was good, but it is somewhat overpriced. Service was nothing special. The lady who took our order was friendly and brought out the drinks quickly, but to wait 30 minutes for two plates is too long. We were never offered coffee refills and she only came back one time to silently place some napkins on the table, but never asked once if we needed anything after we got our food. The service was very very slow. They made mistakes on our order. It took 25 minutes to get two small salads and they forgot to add what we asked for. She brought us the wrong drinks. Very cute decor and service is good. You can get on the waitlist beforehand and you will get a text when your table is ready. It gives you 5 minutes to see host. They get busy so I highly recommend getting on the waitlist and check the time. When they get full the waitlist closes. I've noticed around 10 am is when this happens as it's probably their busiest time. Parking is limited so I suggest arriving beforehand. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating has heaters but still gets cold in the winter so bring layers just in case you're not seated near the heaters. There is no longer an option to choose between indoor and outdoor seating like before on their app. The food is good, specially the stuffed French toast(I like to add strawberries for an additional cost). The omelettes have many toppings and you can ask for green salsa and pico de gallo for more flavor. I've tried the chilaquiles and they're pretty good (specially the green salsa) but if you like the authentic ones, I don't recommend since they taste different. I didn't particularly enjoy the alcoholic drinks here (in pics) although they are nice for pictures. I didn't like none of the iced coffee options either. Now I usually get hot coffee or just water. I was in the area and went here based on the reviews. I wasn't going to write a review because what hasn't already been said about this place? But, I think this restaurant lives up to the hype. I recently went to another restaurant closer to home and although food was on par with the Broken Yoke, I realized how important good customer service is. Usually, I save restaurants for the weekends (especially in this economy!), but Broken Yoke put me in a good mood for the day and probably the week. I came here for the first time with a friend on a weekday. Parking was really difficult for me-- I circled the lot for a good 15 minutes but couldn't find anything. The lot itself was small and many spaces are reserved for residents in the local apartments. When we finally got to the check in, we found out the wait was about 45 minutes. We took some time to just explore the plaza and grab some boba in the meantime, which was fine. Staff were very friendly and there were lots of tables in the restaurant. We were seated outside, which was not the most pleasant given it was a 90 degree day with little wind. The food itself was pretty standard for a brunch- I got the classic benedict and shared a French toast with my friend. Eggs were a bit smaller than other places I've been to, but the quality itself was pretty good overall. The French toast was a good level of sweet and had a nice crunchy exterior paired with a fluffy interior. That being said, I feel like a classic benedict isn't worth $20.
