Being that the bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll is my favorite New York breakfast of all time... I was pleasantly surprised to see a bodega style deli IN the airport! The owner said the BEC was one of his favorites as well and it's part of the reason he opened this restaurant in the first place. Filling a hole that was needed amongst the Sbarro's and such of the airport world. You can almost attribute the whole "pizza is a lot like sex" idiom with bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches as well. Because even the worst I've had still isn't all that bad. This one tasted just fine (though I'm almost certain they used turkey bacon which isn't my favorite), but at a $7+ price tag, you immediately remember you're not in a real bodega at all. I don't think I've ever paid more than $3.50 for one anywhere in the city, so that elevated figure was a bit shocking. I can only imagine what a headache it must be to run a store or restaurant in an airport, so I'll give them a pass. If you're there during lunch hours, they also have pastrami sandwiches to give you that real Brooklyn feel. The jury's out on how good they are (I've not tried them), but perhaps that'll be revealed at a later date.

Don't know if its 5 star worthy, but it was relatively quick and tasty. When you can easily waste $9 bucks on some pre-wrapped junk in other spots this sandwich came out hot and fresh. Good portions on the meat and flavored well. Might get better if had some seating, but hey it's airport turn around and the airports full of them. Also just a personal thing, never like it when they put a tip line on credit receipts when there little to no service beyond taking my order.

Very surprised at the negative reviews!! They must be talking about another place. We wanted to get food for our flight to LAX and they had an excellent selection of wraps and salads. In addition, there was a menu that they would make to order. I had the corned beef sandwich on rye with Swiss cheese and it was warm, delicious, tender, and lean. Seriously, it was as good as any quality deli. My daughter had a grilled chicken sandwich with avocado. The person at the checkout counter was very friendly and explained all the different toppings they had. There was a station which had condiments and utensils for you to take. They also make breakfast to order.

The food was ok-good, esp for airport food and prices. We had the pastrami, cheese steak, hotdog, and fries. Cheese steak was the best by far, but because the owner/mgr was working the floor and greeting and thanking customers, the establishment earned an extra star. It's not always just about the food...

So happy the delí was open at 5:30am when my flight was delayed! Coffee was 2.50, hot and just what I needed. I got an egg and cheese on a bagel as well- $5. Normally I like sausage on my egger, but 2.25 extra? No thanks. It was a slightly below average sandwich but it was hot and fresh so it did the trick.

Don't get sausage... this was actually on my sandwich! Yuck!

Just got a simple egg with sausage on a roll. So easy and simple. I expected a sausage patty, not a few gray sliced up sausage links with their skins peeling thrown on to the roll. Had to remove them entirely, completely gross!! If I had the time, I would have brought this back and asked for a refund on the sausage... don't get sausage!

Asked about using rye bread instead. They said okay and didn't make it that way. Wouldn't fix it. Don't spend your money here. Go elsewhere.

The Brooklyn deli in terminal 8 at JFK has to be one of the best experiences I have had with airport food.

Small space inside but you don't need much space to make bussin sandwiches. Walking or public transportation is preferred. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here after a long day doing booth duty at a summit and was starving from not eating the entire day. Fortunatley the place was pretty quiet since it was 2pm and I got my orders in. For sandwiches, I ended up getting the Favolosa and the Italiana. The favolosa had a delicious artichoke cream and salami that was a banger. The italiana had all your great italian cured meats as well as a truffle cream sauce that made the umami bomb even more umami. So good! THE FINAL BAMBOO: The two sandwiches were around $45, a little pricier on the sandwich side but man are they delicious. I'll definitely be back when I'm in NYC.

The La Paradiso sandwich with mortadella, stracciatella, and pistachios...God's creation!!So when I heard they were coming to NYC, I was SO excited. Okay... it was good, but it was not Italy good. My focaccia didn't taste as fresh, and my sandwich felt rushed;like it wasn't made with love. It still tasted good, but it was definitely not the same magical experience as that first bite I had in Rome. The lemon drink definitely get it. Maybe I'm just spoiled because I had the original in Italy, but I wanted to love it more!

I'm so glad Broad Nosh Bagels & Deli popped up in my search, as it was exactly what I was looking to enjoy. A couple of us trekked the few blocks to find the storefront. Inside it was PACKED, and several groups and lines snaked around the dividers. But the line moved quickly between customers picking up to-go meals and placing orders at the counters. The display cases are beautiful and feature so many different kinds of cream cheese. (Who knew you could make a whole vat of Biscoff?) They also had many types of smoked fish and toppings for customers filing through. Once you order food, you take your ticket to the register where you can add any drinks. This also went fairly quickly. Food and drink order numbers were called out and checked with the receipts, although they called out a set of orders for several minutes and no one came to pick them up. There are a few tables there, but since customers wait to grab drinks and food near the front, the couple tables at the front were basically for crowd control. I definitely wouldn't try to eat there unless I happened to be going at a quieter time. I got the bagel with smoked salmon, and it was exactly what I had been craving. Their bagels are a quarter pound each, so you might even get two meals out of it if you have a fridge for storage. But even as good as the bagel was, the hot chai latte with oat milk was the star for me. It was so incredibly layered for flavor and fragrant, just lightly sweet. I would go out of my way on a trip to NYC just to get one of these for breakfast! We all really enjoyed our food, and I will definitely return.
