Eggs Benedict Pancake Biscuits and Gravy

Quick stop on Petaluma for some brunch! Got seated as soon as we walked in. It took a while for our waitress to come by and take our order, but we weren't in too much of a rush. Felt very comfy in this diner and everyone felt welcoming. Got a stack of pancakes, eggs benny and the biscuits and gravy. I don't know WHAT they put in their pancake butter but it was delicious. It had like light orange peels and a zesty taste to it. Eggs benny was very standard eggs benny, but the biscuits and gravy was the star of the show. The portion sizes are pretty big and is affordable! Would def come again.

This is a cute diner type of restaurant close to the Petaluma fairgrounds. I was seated immediately, a server came by shortly to take my drink order, followed by the waitress who took my order. I ordered a custom scramble with ham, swiss, spinach, green onion, tomatoes and mushrooms. It came with hashbrowns, and they had gluten-free bread, which I appreciate.

The menus say this place is called the Breakfast Station. We came in early on the 4th of July and it was pretty quiet. Ordered the brioche french toast combo with sausage and eggs and the Sr. Pancake combo with an egg and sausage. A couple of standouts here- the orange butter and the sausage. The orange butter was nice and tart and perfect with the pancakes and french toast. The sausages were juicy and seasoned well. Service was just right.

We brought friends! Enjoyed for a second time a good meal here at the Brunch Station on a Sunday morning. Happy to know our friends really liked their food too. I opted this time for the grilled ham & cheese with their seasoned fries. Omg, their fries were really really good! Yeah, get the seasoned fries! We were offered coffee refills often and service was awesome. Our friends say they are returning with their adult children as well. My only non-positive mention is about the Women's restroom. It smells like strong sewer waste in there so I hope they can somehow remedy that soon. Smells awful, but at least the stalls looked clean.

Fast service. We were seated right away. I would say the food was just OK. Didn't really like the chicken fried steak here and the biscuits were pretty dry so thankfully they gave just enough gravy to moisten them.

When you first walk in, it has an old timey wood cabin feel. There is a lot of seating room, plenty for families and friends. We were seated promptly when we walked through the doors, our waitress was polite and attentive. My boyfriend ordered the BLT which he enjoyed, the veggies were fresh, and the bacon was crispy. It's always nice to have a sandwich that doesn't fall apart! I ordered the French dip, which I was nervous for because I am a meat texture snob... and I can gladly say this was one of the best French dips I've ever had! The French tip does not come with cheese so don't forget to add it, which is no biggie, but the spice that this sandwich had was mouthwatering! I've never had a French dip with a kick, so it was honestly a delicious experience! *My only sidenote is that they have a huge mostly empty display case in the front... it would be so much cuter if you guys filled it with decorations*

Petaluma Brunch Station, for me, is a breakfast spot that struggles to match the quality of its food and competence of its service with an extraordinarily inferior setting. I had read about the opening of this restaurant last year, and have had it on my radar to visit. When I read in the Argus Courier that the owners also renowned favorite spot in Marin - Half Day Cafe, it definitely piqued my interest. I've had many a good breakfast at that location, so to find something remotely similar in my town sounds promising. In summary, I think the food is very good. I think the service is very good. And I think they try to create a place people would like to come and enjoy a delicious breakfast or brunch. My problem is in the restaurant itself. Physically. A message to these owners or any owners in similar situation: the condition of your physical setting greatly influences the experience of your patrons. Simply put, your food, team and service can be top-notch, but if I'm kind of disgusted by where I'm sitting and condition of the restaurant, it just doesn't work for me. It's not a simple "cleanliness" issue. Although I will say, I was disappointed at the conditions of the countertop that I sat at having a greasy surface and fingerprints from previous patrons, it's the unresolvable layer of unpleasantness that exists upon everything inside this dated interior. I'm all about a "greasy spoon" if that's where I'm intending to go. I get that certain places have that warm, inviting sense of comfort. This is not one of those places. I understand it was formally "Lumberjacks" years ago, a place that would not have been of interest to me to try. The log cabin motif could be charming and inviting if done tastefully. However -- everything inside this place is tired and worn out. The counters, the tables, the chairs. But honestly, what really did it for me and made it impossible for me to see past the physicality of my experience and how it affected being able to enjoy my otherwise tasty breakfast -- there is an extreme lack of attention to detail on things that are in fact controllable compared to the brick and mortar. The utensils provided on each table that I ate my omelette with were flimsy and such a low grade quality that this alone would prevent me from being interested in coming back. Would ownership kindly invest a small sum of money to purchase utensils that are usable? Honestly, it's like they've been using the same utensils for the past two incarnations of this restaurant at this location. And they may be! I have used plastic "to go" utensils that have been more durable and inviting to employ in dining. The same goes for the tacky frosted plastic cup used for my ice water. Would it be too much to ask to suggest that some actual glasses be purchased? Can we place more than a single tiny napkin at each place setting? If I seem to be over critical, and that perhaps this restaurant should be seen as a place for entry-level, breakfast, and brunch -- the pricing on the menu is what puts this restaurant in a completely different bracket. I have no problem spending the money on good food and service. I just don't want to be disgusted by where I'm sitting. I explored the website for this restaurant also and was floored that they suggest that this is a place that you would bring a wedding reception! Are you absolutely kidding me? The restroom had a commode that was out of service, when I paid for my mail at the register the touch screen was filthy, and I didn't even want to touch it to sign my check. It pains me to write a review like this, but my hope is that ownership and management will take heed some comments, and make an effort to raise their game. It would be unfair to not remark about the food. I ordered an omelette with four items, which was nice to have the option for. I was disappointed that I couldn't get spinach, for example. However, I got cheddar, bacon, mushrooms, scallions. This was a nice combination. The bacon was crispy and firm inside my omelette. The omelette was fluffy and not runny, a positive. It was the right combination of all ingredients. I had hashbrowns that were well done by my request, and they tasted good. I also had some wheat toast, which was fresh and buttered. The speed of the service was tremendously quick as well. I remarked to a friend of mine later, that I probably could not have made and served one faster myself! I was greeted by kind staff. The waitress was very kind and had a welcoming smile. Another review on Yelp for this establishment commented that perhaps it was people looking for Lumberjack's still that were disappointed and giving bad reviews. I'm here to tell you that's not the case, at least all the time. It would be wonderful for the facility and environment to be as welcoming as the people and the food.

The food and service was really good, the tables and chairs were clean and the decor was nice. It was comfortable to sit and the portions were filling. The only request I have is a non-dairy option for cream along with the coffee, as we had 3 people who are lactose intolerant. Would highly recommend!

I wanted to update my review because it seems this place is getting a lot of flack from customers who used to come to the previous restaurant, Lumberjacks, and are unable to appreciate the new restaurant. The food my family ate was high quality and delish. Also I ordered coffee and it was poured and refilled for me there was no "self serve" coffee urns. I too had sourdough toast, as did my kid, and it was quite possibly the best sourdough toast I'd had. It's not the kid you get in a loaf from the store, definitely artisan. It's sad that some people want to ruin a business reputation with false statements seemingly because they miss the old place. I highly recommend you give this place a try.

Pretty typical bunch options. Very safe and lacks any sort of inspiration but decent quality. Pretty on par with a Buttercup or Black Bear. $4.50 to add cheese and bacon to my $15 burger seemed a bit excessive though. I don't remember going to lumberjacks but it's about what I would have expected from them. Right down to it being very lumberjacks themed with only the menu making it clear that its something else. It's a bit confusing actually because I think they are suggesting the word Station has to do with a train theme? But the new sign and logo is a farm? Maybe the few train things were part of the original lumberjacks décor, I don't know... But they could clearly use a branding consult.

Loved that they had old-fashioned corned beef! Everything was delicious! :)

Ordered eggs over easy with crisp bacon and hash brown potatoes. All were perfectly done... and really hit the spot. This restaurant is always clean and the service is attentive. They do need better signage. It's easy to drive by; they do have a private lot. Give them a try! read more

Old and worn out. So sad to see our town going down the drain with such low standards. This was definitely the worst meal I have ever eaten. Huevos Rancheros was rubber scrambled eggs with literally a can of peeled tomatoes/juice poured over it, the uncooked beans were right out of the can w/hard shell. The pancake syrup was not real syrup and probably old, it was stringy like spider webs, never seen this before anywhere. The waitress was very nice, but she was the only person on the floor. She forgot the hot coco and by the time she came back my coffee was cold. I ate the eggs and left the rest and had it deducted from my bill, which was very high for such low quality food and shabby surroundings. Nothing was freshly made, it was all too obvious. I should have known when I sat down and looked at the condition of the place, it hasn't seen an update in probably twenty years and it shows. No non dairy creamer, that's a really bad sign. If you're going to open a business, you had better be willing to serve really, really good freshly made food or you will not last & I am certain this place will not survive if they don't correct course right now. read more

Sadly, we had a very disappointing meal at Petaluma Brunch Station. The service was great, quick and friendly, hence the two stars. The food was well below minimal expectations. The turkey sandwich was uninspiring sliced deli meat on thick toasted bread that was so crunchy and tough it was difficult to eat. Side salad swam in dressing. Omelet was ordered without cheese but had a hefty amount of melted cheese and sans the vegetables expected to be included. The omelette was over salted, significantly. The toast was cold and slathered with margin. Hash browns were cold. We won't be back. read more

I must be in the twilight zone. We gave this place a chance. Food was mostly edible but, weird. I had an eggs Benny and the hollandaise sauce tasted overwhelmingly of horseradish. I guess someone thought that to be creative but, it missed the mark. It was just strange. My husband got steak and eggs. The quality of the steak was very poor. Most of it was inedible. However, it's not the food that earned them one star for us. It was the general cleanliness. We both stopped to the restroom on our way out. We both experienced the greasiest floor I have ever seen, and I am a pro chef for 35+ years! It was as if whoever mopped the bathrooms used a bucket of fryer grease to do so. I'm not exaggerating at all. The grease was thick enough to leave deep footprints and it was very, very slippery! We had to wash the bottoms of our shoes. When I washed mine, the soles were packed with the grease. Discussing. That's a lot of yuck! That's a lot of carelessness. I would not eat there again if you paid me. read more

Loved the food! Went with my family, we got the club sandwich, red chilaquiles, ribeye steak, and california omelette. 10/10! I believe it is a family the runs it and they were super kind and helpful. I thought they were an insurance company since their sign gave it that feel until I actually read the sign while driving by and saw they added pictures of their breakfast menu. Happy I stopped by and will definitely be going again! read more

Definitely would NOT recommend this place. Upon entering the front door I noticed a faint sewage smell to which didn't think much of. The restaurant was dead and maybe had two other people eating and it took the server about 15 minutes to even greet me and when she did she in broken English said to me "Um,NO we don't give out free to homeless." To which I replied with "miss I'm NOT homeless I'm skinny because I have leukemia " She then chuckled & said "ok" and brought my mother and I to the BACK corner of the resturant and walked away, didn't give us a menu or anything. She comes back about 20 minutes later with two cups of cold coffee and asks "Are you ready?" I informed her we haven't gotten a menu yet and she Huffed and puffed and said "HOLD ON!" She comes back with two menus covered in what appeared to be syrup because it was sticky, so we look at the menu and was Surprised by the prices,upwards of $16 for eggs bacon and toast. I ordered my eggs sunny side up and when it came the whites were barely set and still had a snot consistency so I sent it back and the second plate came out with the eggs over hard so I sent it back again and the third time they brought out scrambled, at this point I was irritated so I took it and when I took a bite I could INSTANTLY tell it wasn't real eggs, they were rubbery off color and had a faint suffer smell. My mother got a burger that was still moving and cold. Then when we were done and they brought me the bill I had been charged for THREE plates of eggs and bacon totalling at $68 total, I explained that I'm not going to pay for there mistake to which the server started yelling at me in Spanish calling me a "binché Bendejo" and "chinga to Madre." Then she picked up the phone and called 911 saying that a homeless was trying to dine and dash (I'm with my elderly disabled mother mind you) All the while a man who I think was the cook got behind my mother and I and in-between the door and wouldn't let us leave Even after I took $50 out of my wallet to pay. The cops showed up and the situation was explained to the server and she started cussing out the cop. We ultimately were able to leave but holy crap! This would've never happened at lumberjacks or what should be there Llyons . Quality of food is garbage Service is worse & it smells like human poop, might as well go to McDonald's for all that. read more

Our first time here. Lovely wife got the eggs. Benedict and I got the California Benedict. Both were outstanding with the homemade sauce, creamy and delicious. My hash browns were nicely browned, crispy and well-seasoned. Wife's home fries were great as well. Rosa, our server, was pleasant, attentive and efficient. We'll be back. read more

Great Petaluman Location super clean and great facility !! Great spot of eat and always has been no matter what restaurant seams to pop up there, and brunch station is no different. I guess the only bad mark and I want to take a star off is that it closes at 3pm. Man, this is a hard pill to swallow as that location has been a great place to enjoy dinners. I know some high and mighty toody fella name Dave M doesn't like this location, so I invite him to not come back ever. As for everyone else, this place is the finest sorts, Petalumas best list for sure. read more

We have eaten there 4 times since it changed to Petaluma Brunch Station. Each time the food was excellent. Tried the huevos Ranchero, breakfast, garden burger , fried egg sandwich and the clam Chowder soup. Everything was excellent. You will miss some great food if you don't try it out. The service and servers also were kind and efficient. Peaceful surroundings. read more

I think I'm being generous with two stars as our breakfast was not as good as it looked, and didn't look that good. It's a far cry from what Lumberjack served! If the waffle can't melt the butter, put it on in the kitchen! The biscuits and gravy had little flavor but I managed to eat it all. There's too many breakfast places in Petaluma to return here. read more

What a horrible experience. We were excited to have a new brunch spot but this was very disappointing. It's in the old Lumberjacks restaurant but it looks just like it did when it was Lumberjacks. Service was incredibly slow. Coffee was full of grounds. Butter had orange rinds in it which they thought was cute....IT's NOT. There are much better places to go for brunch. Avoid this place! read more

Come and support this new addition to Petaluma! Eggs Benedict was delicious and prepared perfectly. The Station was a huge serving with a moist biscuit and yummy gravy. Lots of seating and great service! Has a north coast feel with old logging photos. Prices are in line with most eateries. read more

Rosa was an outstanding server and offered us a great Mothers Day brunch! We stopped in, my mother and grandmother, after seeing this new restaurant just while driving around. In this unassuming location there is a great menu with many wonderful options both hearty and light with vegetarian options too. To say this was a pleasant brunch would be an understatement, it was a spectacular meal and the vibes matched. This restaurant has just met a new regular and I ask that everyone try this place out, this is coming from a current and two former restaurant servers. read more

Knowing that Half Day Cafe in Kentfield has great breakfasts I had been wanting to try this place. I was surprised that the inside was not changed at all since it was Lumberjacks and is seemed like a mediocre chain restaurant. Poor ambiance. The waitress was attentive and nice, but the food was not enjoyable. I don't think I have ever been served a breakfast that was so bad that I wouldn't eat it ever before. I asked about the cinnamon roll pancakes and was told that they were cinnamon rolls dredged in batter and then grilled. What I got were 3 cinnamon rolls with a fried film on the top. they were clearly not prepared like french toast and they tasted like stale, dry and not sweet rolls. It was bad and unlikely that the cinnamon rolls were homemade. I don't often write reviews but this was so bad that people should be warned not to order this. I feel duped by the 4.4 star rating it had on Google and cannot give this place a second chance. My son had the regular french toast breakfast. It was fine, he will eat anything, but even he said "we wont be coming back here, it wasn't very good." read more

In a time when restaurants are stuggling I decided to try this newly renamed place, much to my dismay. I ordered a meal that appeared to include sausage, on the menu, however, when my meal arrived I could not find the sausage. When I inquired with the server if the sausage was forgotten I was informed that the sausage was in the gravy. I requested to see the menu again. It was then that the server informed me that the menu was printed with an error and a comma was missing. This owner will deflect his own errors but give you free food, after 18 years in the restaurant industry. Of course, customers pay for those mistakes when the menu pricing gets changed to absorb them giving away free sausage or comping meals. He was not willing to see that he compounded his so-called honest error and put additional stress on servers, which is not needed in their job. He could have added a comma with a Sharpie marker before he put the menus in the plastic sleeves. I expect with leadership like this, in the back of the house, this place won't be around for long. This place could use a good oiling on the wood to brighten it up, as this owner didn't do any interior updates before they opened and the place had very few customers so there's plenty of time. Fine if you're popping in on your own to sit at the bar for a burger, but you might end up waiting a while if you're in a group.

A lot of really nice boutique type shops with fine products and a brand new record store, Paradise Found which is quite fantastic. It is also an oasis with goo-gobs of creative talent and cool people you will find. Ranchers, farmers, construction workers, normal hard-working folk, authors, athletes, chefs, sound engineers,sculptors,craftspeople, photographers, and inventors. A full cast of interesting characters. The home of the world's ugly dog contest (I tend to stay away during this event to avoid becoming a contestant) and wrist wrestling championship. Once famous for being the egg capital of the world. I once heard this conversation in a bar, "Hey Steve remember when we got paid to inseminate chickens when we were on acid?" Steve: "Those were chickens?" Sam Shepard would've had a field day here. Some newer buildings made to look old with crafted Styrofoam façades. You get the feeling you're on a movie set, which it has been on several occasions. I lived here for a number of years, a bit of a Peyton Place aura. Nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more. Some of my favorite people I've met in the last 30 years hale from here. And, a disappropriated amount have left this earth too soon. One of the best foodie destinations north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Superb coffee shops and bakeries, some award-winning. So, back in 1999 I took a wrong turn off the freeway and discovered Petaluma and the first place I went was the "Tea Room" and it's still pretty much as awesome as it was then. A real nice vibe, nicely decorated with some incredible pastries to include the orange cranberry scone as I recall, sold out today. My breakfast today was quite good with the walnut toast, and a huge portion of very large potatoes that could've been cut into smaller pieces and maybe I only needed one third of the portion. Dem tatters were 'nuff for four people. Great atmosphere, nice friendly staff, and a very pleasant ambience. There's mirrored signage that says TEA mounted high on the wall across from one another so as to appear as if it were a reflection. I personally can also see the word EAT in there every time I glance at it. I was told years ago that it came from an old Texaco gas station sign. It makes sense, check it out. On Western Avenue. I used to tell folks it's across from the pink Catholic Church rectory. That's been painted to a rather unattractive conservation brown. A lot of nice outdoor seating and cool shops nearby, check out next-door thrift shop and the ever remarkable Petaluma market around the corner, with superb produce display! Famous for cheese, wine, cider, breweries and happy cows! If you're coming from the south cut over through Fairfax to Olema and take the back road up to Petaluma which is a stunning drive!

I'm not sure what her issue is, but I have heard from other friends in town that they have had similar experiences with her and it's made them stop going there. My lunch friend mentioned that the restaurant is owned and operated by a husband and wife team: Annette and Brian. The regulars were greeted with familiarity. It wasn't the kind of place where you're rushed for your order, nor is it a dine and dash location. The menu - both food and drink - has tantalizing options, so it's best to come back repeatedly. My Turkish Coffee arrived quickly after I ordered it, despite Annette being the only server on the floor. I enjoyed the Bocadillo too, especially the pickled vegetables that accompany the sandwich. For those complaining that the portions were small or that the prices were high, the quality of ingredients and depth of flavor are worth the cost and my portion was more than enough to satisfy my appetite, plus I left with the other half of my sandwich as an offering for my hungry twenty-something at home. We ordered a rice pudding for dessert and dug in before I was able to snap a picture! It was delicious though, with the poached blueberries and almonds offering an ideal balance of texture and flavor to earn this simple dessert my esteem. Pearl is in an industrial part of town, just west of the River on G street between downtown and the bowling alley. It's worth finding it but get there early - open till 3 only and closed Tues-Wed.

The food was so good that I would gladly make the drive from San Francisco to Petaluma just to eat here again. The barbecue was outstanding, but the real surprise was the peach tres leches cake. WOW. It was incredible and an absolute game changer. Moist, flavorful, and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. The portions were generous, the quality was excellent, and every bite was worth it. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. If you're anywhere near Petaluma and love great barbecue, do yourself a favor and stop here. I will definitely be back, and next time I'll probably be thinking about that peach tres leches cake the entire drive there!

They were delicious but the serving was pretty small. What seemed odd to us was that the potatoes that were served as a side with the hamburgers were not the same as what was served as the starter. The starter was clearly made from fresh cut porates and were well seasoned. the potatoes with the entree seemed like run of the mill food service fries. The beet salad and entrees were also very tasty. however, we asked for the mustard aioli on the side with the hamburgers but that's not what we got. For dessert we ordered the milk chocolate mousse and the crème boule. They were okay but nothing extraordinary . Given all the outstanding restaurants to choose from in Sonoma County, think it's unlikely we will go back.

I stopped by this lovely restaurant on my way to Fort Bragg while searching for a lunch spot, and I'm so glad I did! Instead of grabbing a fast food burger, I treated myself to two amazing entrées. One was a delicious mushroom burger, and the other was a melt sandwich loaded with ham and turkey, both served on their homemade sourdough bread, which is baked right in-house. The place was spotless, and you could really tell they take pride in their cleanliness! If you ever get the chance to eat here, I highly recommend it--definitely try the sourdough bread; it's out of this world! The fries were some of the best I've had in years, and my friend agreed. It's been a long day and their burger on sourdough really was the best burger I've ever had at a restaurant. 10/10. Their fries were well made however lacked seasoning.
