I have eaten at Bruncheon a few times. The last time I went they gave themselves a $33.00 tip instead of a $3.30 tip I left them. When I saw my statement, I went to the restaurant and asked for a refund. They apologized profusely and said they would have their manager take care of it. When I checked my statement a couple of weeks later, the refund had still not posted. So I went back to the restaurant and they assured me the manager had gone to the bank the day after I asked for the refund and taken care of everything. I went to my bank today to get them to track down my refund, but it has been longer than 60 days, so I am out my money. I will not be returning to Bruncheon. So check your account closely and don't let your time expires. read more

If Yelp allowed half stars, I would have rated 3.5. I really wanted to like this place. It is always slammed on the weekends and looks good. It has a lot of potential, but not someplace I'd return to as currently stands. I went at lunchtime on a Monday since it's near me and wanted to avoid the weekend brunch rush. Increased staffing, improvements in the kitchen, and maybe a little staffing training could easily elevate this place to top-notch. it has all the ingredients needed. Positives: Patio area is well-designed. Makes the whole restaurant look really nice. Staff is very friendly and seems eager to provide a good experience. Cons: I wouldn't count on ordering anything different from how it comes on the menu. Ordered an omelette with egg whites and no cheese, but it came with regular eggs and cheese. I ate it anyway bc I can't stand to have the food wasted, but kind of shows an inattention to detail. Food was okay, but not great. Omelette was over-salted. Pancakes tasted good but were dry. Service was a little slow, but I chalk that up to under-staffing and not at all a lack of effort on the part of the staff. Probably explains the order details being wrong too. No WiFi. If you want to sit and study, this is not your place. Summary: Honestly this place right now seems more style over substance. Probably great for drinking mimosas and taking selfies/pics of food. Though my friend and I walked in with no reservation, it was short staffed which we had no idea until wandering around the restaurant. We were then instructed to have a seat and it took 20 MINUTES for us to even get a glass of water. Once we were greeted by a waiter, we were only then informed on the being short staffed but would be bringing in help to assist the long wait. He proceeded to take our order which also took longer than usual. In fact, the food that did arrive at our table was actually for another group on the other side of the restaurant. After finally receive the correct order, the food was subpar and my pancakes were cold. First time here and had a decent time at Bruncheon. Came around 11:30a with no wait, which was awesome. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess and our waitress was very nice as well. I could tell the staff were a great team together because of how well they all worked in unison, helping bussing tables and bring out out other people's food. The food came out at a decent time and were at acceptable temps. I ordered the California omelet with side of pancakes and hash-browns. The omelet 8/10, would get it again. The combo of veggies in it worked perfectly. The hash-browns and pancakes on the other hand were "just ok", idk they were just missing something. My mom had the chicken and waffles, which she stated tasted great and the chicken was well seasoned. Final thoughts I'd have to say for the place would be adding some type of "WOW" factor. Absolutely horrible service and the food is disgusting. Stay away from this place if you can. I ordered the brisket skillet for brunch and after getting it and taking two bites, I saw a bug crawling around in my food. At first, I wondered if it flew in and once I saw it crawling around, I realized it was not a flying bug. I was absolutely disgusted. I waited around for the server to come by and flagged the staff down Told him that I couldn't eat that and pointed to the bug. He grabbed the plate and walked away in a hurry without saying anything. At that point, I was waiting for our waitress or the manager to come out and apologize or ask if I wanted something else but I wait about 15 minutes and no one comes by and I had to go inside and talk to the waitress, and they finally said the manager is remaking the food but at that point, I wanted to puke at the site of the same food since I saw a bug in it so I said I did not want the same thing. I wanted to order something different. The manager Just seemed annoyed and rush off without apologizing and the waitress asked what she can get me and I ordered a Panini to go. Then they bring me a check for the brisket skillet which cost more than the Panini and I reminded the waitress that I didn't end up eating the briskets and she said their policy won't allow her to void it. Just ended up charging a dollar less for the difference. The service is soo poor & management is disrespectful and they had absolutely no care for what had just happened. The eggs were honestly the best restaurant scrambled eggs I've ever had, perfectly cooked and fluffy. I asked for my hashbrowns crispy and they did not disappoint The French toast was scrumptious and the bacon as well. Hubby got meat lovers scramble with a biscuit, he loved it all (the biscuit is huge! So good!). Kids got pancakes, strawberry pancakes and avacado toast and bacon. Y'all- this is basic breakfast food you can find at any breakfast place, minus the seasoning. I don't think anything that hit our table had any flavor or seasoning in it. The menu shows coffee items like lattes, cappuccinos, flavors, etc., our waiter informed us they only have drip coffee and he's embarrassed to always have to explain that to customers when they ask for a different coffee item that's listed on the menu. There's pictures of delicious pancake and waffle stacks with fresh fruit and cream on the walls- they don't offer any meals like that on their menu. My friend and I arrived within an hour or two of open the other day and the bathroom was FILTHY! Also, their tables are realllly close together so you're nearly bumping elbows with the strangers next to you. read more
