This weekend was my first time at Brygga since the remodel from just Stone Harbor. They did a great job with the updates, and I was happy to see a lot of the same smiling staff. Perfect location, right on the water and next to the bridge. We went on a weeknight before a holiday weekend and it was not busy at all; it didn't take us any time to get a table. They have bar tables, regular tables and bar seating. There's also a patio and another separate dining room. They even have a little game room which is good for kids! The service was exceptionally slow, our waitress was nice enough. The food and drinks were all pretty basic, simple ingredients, nothing too outside the box. We loved our dinner at the Stone Harbor Restaurant. The crab cakes were delicious and i could totally eat 20 of them. The drinks were delicious- my favorite was rhe cherry mule. For entrees, we got the tiger prawns and steak. Both yummy and very large portions. The restaurant was sleek and very well designed. The service was amazing too. We sat next to large windows overlooking the gorgeous lake and bridge, made my night. read more

Stone Harbor Resort has a wonderful location, and premium priced rooms. The facilities in and out are spotless, the rooms well-appropriated. The big problem with Stone Harbor is that their employees have a complete lack of awareness of what it means to work in the HOSPITALITY industry. They're rude, gruff and unhelpful. From the bar ("Are you talking to me???" - one bartender when being interrupted from her precious conversation with the clicque of other employees) to the front desk (incoherent mumbling, lack of empathy to the situation at hand -- we lost our car keys and unexpectedly needed to stay overnight after the tall ships festival) -- one just gets the feeling that every single person working there would rather be anywhere else than tending to guests. Housekeeping gets 5 stars. Bar staff - 0 stars. Everyone else, 1 star. read more

We visited on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The restaurant, bar and patio were almost entirely empty. Limited menu; dinner menu has a few additions and subtractions from the lunch menu. Cost is on par for the area. We ordered the wrapala, the Italian sub, chicken tenders meal. Tenders were not on the menu but the kitchen was nice enough to make them for our son. He had the best meal. The other dishes were just ok. Server never returned to refill drinks, even when asked to, though we were the only ones in the dining room. Overall service was poor and slow. Decor update to the facility is very attractive. With such a nice patio on the water it is curious that it appears very poorly frequented. I can only assume the problem is that the restaurant does not draw people in. It's a shame since there are so few water front restaurants in the downtown area. Side note: May want to invest in a cigarette capture device for the parking lot just outside the restaurant doors. Ground is completely littered with cigarette butts. read more

Very friendly staff. We had a special group event with a select menu with plenty of choices. I was intrigued by the salad bar and went for it. It was quite good, and I would have it again. Plenty of ingredients to choose from, whatever your salad preference is. Located on the bay, the sights are obviously nice. Where to go from here: The server was friendly enough, but the service was about as slow as it could be. It took ~45 minutes for us to get our food and our drinks were never refilled. The food was ok - nothing wrong with it but after the wait, I would have appreciated something a little more special. It seemed the staff was very compartmentalized - the hostess seemed bored (the place wasn't busy) and the wait staff was clearly overwhelmed or just couldn't keep up - but the hostess never helped. What we wanted was a nice relaxing lunch as we gazed at the river - what got was an intolerable wait. My suggestion? Go elsewhere. read more

The renovation is lovely, though the soup and salad bar is greatly missed - I don't like the lunch menu, so I used to go in specifically for that. Don't expect to sit on the patio for "just drinks" - your server will tell you it's not worth their time and send you back into the bar to get your own. read more

First time in door county. We went in the winter and service was great and it wasn't busy at all. Food was very delicious! I recommend getting the cheese curds as an appetizer and the planked bourbon salmon as an entree. The atmosphere is fine, I'm sure the view is much better in the summer. I did not have a chance to eat here but I think the atmosphere of the patio and the happy hour deals are great! They have different happy hour options daily and they are quite affordable. You can either order in the bar and bring the drinks onto the patio, or they have an outdoor bar too! The outdoor bar can make frozen drinks which my husband indulged in and loved. The bartender inside was very friendly and gave us local recommendations. If we are in Sturgeon Bay again, I know we will be back for some drinks on the deck at Stone Harbor. read more

We came here for our anniversary. It was a Friday night at 5pm and the dining room was empty. We were seated at a table with a fantastic view of the bay. I ordered a Brandy Old Fashioned. It was perfect. For my appetizer I had crab cakes. They were the best I've had since I was on Cape Cod. After sometime deciding, I went with the 12 ounce rib eye steak medium rare with sauteed onions and mushrooms. I chose mushroom soup for my soup and a loaded baked potato for my side. The soup was hot and creamy. The potato was loaded alright. It had bacon, cheddar cheese, scallions, and came with sour cream. The potato was delicious and humungous as was the steak. Man that was a large steak, undeniably more than 12 ounces. Afterwards I checked the bill to see if they didn't give me the ounce one, which they did not. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The sear marks added to the appeal. The steak was tender and juicy. It was seasoned just right as not to distract from the flavor of the steak. Unfortunately the meal was bigher than me as I had to take a box. That was my lunch the next day. This was the perfect anniversary meal. I'm looking forward to doing it again next year. read more

We heard the menu had been updated and came for fish last Friday. The remodel is very nice and although I came for perch or salmon, I ended up ordering the in-house smoked ribs. This also came with a side salad, choice of potatoes & green beans. The salad was wonderful with a variety of mixed greens & all of their dressings are made in house. I chose a baked potato that had the nice seasoned & crispy skin, not something mushy from a microwave. The green beans were excellent and buttery with a nice blend of seasonings. The serving size was quite large! The ribs were excellent. Not overwhelming with too much smokiness and very tender. The sauce was also tasty. We also ordered the walleye and it was one of the best we have had in Door County. We give them a high rating for service, food and ambience. Excellent dining experience. The inly suggestion would be to have a happy hour on Old Fashioneds, at least on Friday evenings for a couple hours. read more

Located on a marina! Came here the night we arrived from out travels. We arrived hungry and tired from the 4 hour drive. Very crowded on the patio (Friday and all). Menu was short (bar food). Ordered a couple burgers and fries. Very cold and skimpy condiments. They also had a live band on the deck. I love rock music, but the speakers were aimed directly at our table and they were definitely too loud the venue! Very annoying to say the least! Drinks were good! This review is based on atmosphere, service and DRINKS only. Service: Lackluster. The hostess station felt like a gossip station. We seated our selves since there seemed to be quite the discussion going on. The bartender inside was new but friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere: We found a table that was covered in people's drinks that had sat there prior (which seemed to be a theme on the patio). We were roasting in the sun, you think for a resort of this status they would have some umbrellas that would tilt. Nope. We moved to a different table after a group left to only get kicked out of it 10 min. later due to a wedding party reserving the spot. So we moved indoors getting sick of playing musical chairs. Beautiful view from the patio and restaurant obviously. But the live music outside in the 3 times I've been there has always been so loud you can't hear yourself. The Tikki bar has different drinks than the regular bar. Drinks: Hit or miss based on who is tending the bar. Their bloody mary's are usually what I come for, but they make the mix itself sometimes, and other times use zing zang so it is a complete toss up on what it will taste like. My fiances uncle likes coming here so I'm sure we'll be back for more drinks and musical chairs and maybe even some food. read more

RACIST. if you're a person of color, just be prepared to have ALL EYES on you. I am asian, my husband is white, and we went with my sister and my nieces, for breakfast and everyone just stared at us as we walked through the restaurant. Like we shouldn't be there. Even my husband felt the stares. It was really sad to have to experience this as every other place in Door County has been so amazing. If I could, I would give them zero! Had a delicious lunch on the lower patio. This is the Pet Friendly area as we had our two dogs with us. The hostess was awesome, very friendly and directed us on how to access the lower patio without entering the Main dinning area with our dogs. Wait time was as expected. Unfortunately there isn't any shaded area for your pet so be aware if it is a hot and sunny day. Our server brought us waters and iced water for our furry companions. Ordering was simple and quick. Good service from beginning to end. Our margarita was excellent. Very smooth and refreshing. The food was excellent. We had a salad with Salmon which was cooked perfectly and their own version of a French Dip which was fantastic. I would recommend this as a great lunch stop with some good scenery. read more

Came here because it seemed cute while visiting door county. Partner and I had some beers and calamari to start. Both were great and nothing to complain about ! For lunch was a grilled chicken sandwich - super tasty! Staff/waitress was perfectly friendly. Vibe was positive. Inside seemed a little off, I'm not sure, maybe it was the decor or the fact that it's so close to the big hotel. 3 stars because food was good, staff was polite but nothing blew me out of the water or would make me highly recommend it to anyone. Let me preface this review as it is quite long, but so was our experience at Stone Harbor Restaurant. Absolutely asinine customer service and employees. Visited this joint on a Saturday expecting a relatively quick and nice lunch by the harbor. Boy was my family in for a trip. Our waitress whose name I can't remember because it was overruled by her horribly unprofessional attitude and extreme eye makeup, was nothing but unprofessional and rude. When we were seated we had to wait about 20 minutes before she came to get our drink order. Once placed, it took probably another 20 or so to get our drinks. We placed our food order at the same time as our drinks. After about 45 minutes we asked if the food was almost ready. She told us it should be out any minute. Proceeded to wait another 45 until we decided to get up and leave. We were sat on the deck outside. No one else around us had any food either and it was few and far between when an employee would come and check on the guests. We didn't want to waste our only day visiting Door County sitting at a restaurant. We left some money and a note on the table for our drinks, which I'm sure was pocketed by our waitress. On the way out we addressed our waitress who was standing at the hostess stand along with what seemed like every other employee of Stone Harbor. We kindly expressed to our waitress that we were leaving and she could just cancel our order. Instead of an apology or explanation she replied rudely "I mean your food was almost ready". We stated that we were told that almost an hour ago, to which she then so intelligently said "you ordered a well done burger" and "there's other tables out there". Clearly this chick knows nothing about cooking because in what world does it take almost 2 hours for the kitchen to make a well done burger?? Are they cooking it with a lighter? And her comment about there being other tables, yes there were several other tables, none of which had any food either. After several eye rolls and distasteful comments from our waitress we continued on our way out. No apology or trying to make it right in any way. All she seemed to do was blame us for the horrible service we received. Will never return or recommend. read more

Used to have spectacular service. Now it seems they will hire anyone, especially in their restaurant. The food has gone downhill at the restaurant, and so has the service. Inexperienced servers, paper menus instead of the old large menus that they had, food quality not what it used to be. Prices remain high, but you're not getting your money's worth. read more

We were looking for a nicer place while on vacation. Food was bland and nothing to write home about. Prices were outrageous for the quality. $150 for a family of 4 with the kids ordering off the "shareables" menu. Plus we had to remind the waitress of their evening drink special they promoted when we sat down then didn't give us the special price on the ticket. Waaaay over priced pub food. If our bill was $65 vs $150, then I would have said the food was in line with prices. Definitely NOT fine dining as they advertised. read more
