The first time I called him for free estimate, I chose to go with the cheaper blinds he has which I think are reasonable in price and good looking as well. I wrote him the check be fore my husband said no to any blinds. I contacted 2-3 companies for free consultation and although everyone gave a similar price estimate, Miguel was by far the most professional. After analyzing a competitive bid, we chose Budget Blinds of Pleasanton to replace 22 Hunter Douglas blinds in our home with 22 motorized Serena Roller Shades which could individually be operated by wireless Pico remote control as well as by voice thru Alexa or Apple Home. In addition we asked for the installation of two non-motorized cellular specialty arches. This work was completed on January 10, 2020. From the very first phone call for a budget quote, till the last installation work, we have been 100% satisfied with the professionalism displayed by both Miguel and Fanny, with the quality of supplied blinds and installation work and adherence to the committed schedule and price. Prior to the proposal, Miguel was meticulous with the measurements of all windows and made an accurate paper template of the large arch, which is why all blinds fitted perfectly after a quality installation work by him. We were equally impressed by Fanny who did a superb job with scheduling, communication and help during installation. She kept us informed of the progress in Lutron manufacturing facility, provided the planned shipment date, scheduled the installation date and sent appropriate reminders. I am very pleased with Miguel's service and products. I installed 9 pieces of large roman shades in my family room and kitchen area and they look great. Miguel was particularly helpful when I decided to change one of the specs for the shade after the order was placed. While the contract says that specs cannot be changed after the order is in, he worked with the manufacturer to modify the order and delivered the final product as I had hoped with nominal fee. He was punctual to all appointments and he sent out weekly status updates after the order was in to keep me informed of the work flow. I did have a minor problem with one of the cords which broke on the first day but when I reached out to him about the issue, he replaced the cord shortly after. Called to get an appointment for an in home consultation and quote. Stephanie got back to schedule an appointment. Was more interested in knowing whom else we are working with and said if you are looking for the lowest quote, we might not be the one. Went on to say if you compare with Lowes, we might not be as competitive as them, pricewise. Is naive how she made an assumption that lowest cost is the only thing customers compare, especially when she did not ask what we are looking for when comparing the vendors and neither did I mention that price is the only deciding factor while comparing the vendors. Ofcourse every customer will take into consideration quality and price. But to ASSUME that lowest cost / quote was what I am looking for was uncalled for. Taking my business to another place where they do not speak to prospective customers with a preset judgement. Based on the reviews, they seem to be good, but my experience with Stephanie was not good. read more

When we moved to Pleasanton, our newly constructed home was In need of window treatments. We have A LOT of windows in our home (over 30) and we were worried how much it was going to cost us to get good blinds and shades. We recently had BB handle four of our windows. The initial presentation was very thorough and we found plenty of options to choose from. We were happy with our choices. They were very detailed with keeping us up to date on the progress of our order, with weekly updates. When the blinds were received, they scheduled an installation date the same week. :) Our blinds were just installed today. Unfortunately one of the windows was shipped incorrectly (wrong size), the installer called the owner, who came over to our home within 15 minutes, to explain to us the process they will go through to return it to the manufacturer, re-order and have the blind expedited to us. We had already removed and thrown our old blinds away, so they hung the "wrong" one anyway, so that we would at least have the windows covered. I'm super bummed. Miguel seems like a really nice guy. He really pushed for treatments different than what I want/need but ultimately mentioned a special that offered GREAT prices on exactly what I need and we found a great solution for downstairs. All in all perhaps a small job but came to $2400, not pocket change. The official quote came in, he hand wrote one with tax at the house, and included $75 install on the special blinds-it was never mentioned when he was here. I really, really loathe when places do that. So while I was ready to buy/sign day of (they were out of office for 4 days after) I'm now looking at other options because it feels questionable that there are other things tacked on. Could have easily been an oversight because again, he seems like he's a decent guy. Will update if I hear. read more

Miguel was very helpful at our first meeting in deciding what worked best for our needs. He didn't pressure sell any product but brought up aspects such as light leakage or care. Ordered that day and got email record of work ordered, weekly status report then install came. He was the installer too. He was very knowledgable about the product. I did notice one less trim piece, winds up that it didn't fit...so I was credited for it. Be prepared for 75% up front, no credit cards. Only downgrade, I had to notice absence of trim piece and ask about deducting for it. It looked beautiful as it was and once mentioned, he sent me an updated invoice and came back next day for check. Miguel is a great sales rep- very good at explaining all the options and patiently answering your questions. There really are a lot of options and I was glad that I never felt rushed into making a decision. He can give you a detailed quote at the time he measures and there is no pressure to decide right then and there what, if anything, you would like to order- I always appreciate that courtesy from businesses who come into my home to give me a quote on something.
