sweetness from the pork and sour from the pickled veggies. Salty from the meat a some bitterness from the jalapeño. It's the perfect bite. And not only multiple tastes, you also get multiple textures: an airy crunchiness from the bread and a more dense crunchiness from the veggies and a softness from the meat. It's literally so good. I always get the same thing but I'm almost positive everything else is bangin. You can't go wrong.

A decent banh mi place with quick service. This place offers a sort of greatest hits of Vietnamese food on the menu: banh mi, pho, and milk tea. I so appreciate the ample parking here since it's in a strip mall. I received service with a smile which is always a plus.

Get the fried spring rolls!!! These are the authentic Vietnamese kind with mushroom, meat, and vermicelli inside wrapped in rice paper and fried! I got a party tray of egg rolls (actually spring rolls) and they were a hit. The roll filling from Bun Me is also generous. It comes with mild dipping sauce. One order is 3 rolls. They pair great with the Banh mi sandwiches from here! Ofc the BM sandwiches are also great. I prefer the lemongrass chicken or pork since I want less food coloring and I love the lemongrass flavor. This team is on it! They are responsive on the phone so I always call in my order for pickup. The sandwich size is also a good filling portion. It's delicious - crunchy bahn mi style baguette packed with meat, pickled radish and carrots, cilantro, and optional jalapeño. There's also seating indoors so you can dine in and get your food right as it's prepared. I've tried a couple other menu items but my favorites are the sandwiches and fried spring rolls (the veg egg rolls are better for those who like a good basic egg roll, but the fried spring roll is what's exceptional).

Stopped by here on our way home. We were very hungry so I did not get a chance to even take a photo of our meals. We ordered rare steak pho, bo kho beef stew and a chicken rice plate. No one had any complaints. As a matter of fact, the chicken rice plate was praised and kid approved. Once she took a bite she said "this is yummmmyy" The beef stew was delicious. It had a hint of sweetness. What I liked about their soup is that they don't give you a ridiculous amount of noodles. It was just a right amount in comparison to the rest of the soup. They put a great amount of beef and I wasn't even able to finish all of the beef. The inside is pretty small. I think only 3 or 4 tables. It seems like they do a lot of DoorDash orders. The ladies that helped us were all very nice. I watched how they interacted with all the DoorDash drivers and they treated them all kindly.

First time coming here. It's a small place in a strip mall. They have a couple of tables inside and outside. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. I order the steak bun me it's was delicious. The bread was perfect and the meat was tender. I also order the Crispy Spring Roll. It had the perfect crunch. I will definitely be coming back.

Super cute and close to csun! It's a small shop with a walk up counter. The service was quick and they brought it to our table. Most orders are made for pick up, so we were the only patrons. I ordered the steak Bahn mi and it was perfection. The French bread was fresh, the carrots were perfectly pickled, and it was a great dinner over all. Highly recommend if you're craving Vietnamese :)

You can never go wrong when visiting this Bun Me location. Their steak bun me is delicious along with their summer rolls. I also got their beef pho before too and I thought it was great. I would come here once a week during covid lockdown for my lunch because the price was very reasonable at the time and the lady who own the place is very nice. My wife really enjoy their chicken pho and pomegranate drink. Before if you dine at the place and get a bun me sandwich, they would give you some Vietnamese chips but not anymore. The parking situation is limited here but it's easier now because there are less stores there. There also limited seating inside because there are only 4 tables which can fit like 2 people at each one. They have 2 tables for outdoor seating as well. Their prices did go up because of the current economy situation but it's not like a big increase. I would recommend coming here if you haven't been yet.

AHHHHHH! FINALLY some BUN ME! its been a minute since I've had their delicious sandwiches and Pho! As always their grilled pork bun was perfect and so were their shrimp summer rolls. Everything remains fresh and of great quality. Their service is still just as good as the first time. Its always busy here, from what i experienced around 1 pm. rather small dinning spot but its so worth it. To go orders come out fast! hope to come back soon!

Stopped by for a quick pick up order. I ordered the pho 2 item combo (rare steak & beef balls ftw). I noticed the soup was leaking in the bag so the staff repackaged it thankfully since I had a half hour drive. The sandwich was delicious and much needed as my first meal of the day was at 5pm. Would be tastier if it had more pate. It looked like a small quaint eatery. There was a shared parking lot with other businesses and it was pretty full when I visited.

This sandwich touched my soul for something simplistic. It's a perfect balance of refreshing vegetables and steak along with their secret sauce and jalapeño, the perfect combination. They're welcoming and quick with service. It is sort of a small space but you're are able to eat inside and outside comfortably nonetheless.

The vegan summer rolls and pho are the best I've had. The peanut sauce and fish sauce are also the best versions of these sauces I've ever had. There are only four tables inside, so I usually prefer take out. They're very nice and welcoming every time I visit and the parking lot is free. Just wish they had a restroom so I don't have to sneak in next door every time.

2.5 stars for food alone Maybe we went on an "off day" but their Chicken Lemongrass and Deli Combo Bun Me were really hard to eat. Bread didn't seem fresh, lemongrass hardly had any taste. We both had sandwiches that were tough to eat. Bland, dry and chewy. The opposite of what we expected. The crispy spring rolls looked good on their photo but what we got was nothing like the photo. Small and dry. Sadly, won't be coming back. I know this place has been here for years and has gotten rave reviews but today isn't in line with consistency. Place is small, no public restrooms but ample parking. A take out or eat quick type of spot. No issues if their Vietnamese food was actually good but not today. Disappointed.

Really friendly service. I wish the bowl was little bit bigger for their pho and other soups. This place is also vegan and vegetarian friendly too. The bahn mi is almost as good as the ones in Alhambra. The coffee is amazing as well. read more

I'm never disappointed with their food or service. They always get my order right and they're always happy to serve me. Be careful if you order Pho to go, because they use the cheapest to-go containers possible and the lid on all 4 of my pho orders caved in. Luckily they had individually bagged each Pho bowl so the leak was contained, but come on! Invest in some better to go containers, because obviously there's an issue when all 4 containers bust in my car. Won't be getting pho to go anymore. Otherwise, food is great! read more

This was my first time here and the food was delicious! I had the brisket pho noodle soup and my son had the chicken bun me. The establishment is clean. The service is fast and friendly. But I had to give them one less star because they don't have restrooms. This would be a huge deterrent for to come back in the future because I have a 7 year old. They get dirty. They have to use the restroom and they can't wait. So if you wash your hands and void out your bladder before coming, I would recommend this place for a fantastic meal. read more

I come here once in a while during my school breaks. I love the summer spring rolls, they are my favorite! The peanut sauce is delicious. The sandwiches are yummy as well. Last time I went I noticed they had pho and I look forward to going back and ordering it next time. The place is clean and nicely decorated. Customer service is always great as well. I would definitely recommend this place to any pho or Vietnamese food fans. Last but not least the prices are very reasonable. I love Bun Me! read more

Great new dive in the Valley. First time there today. Pho is not too salty like some places. Had the Bun Pho w/ brisket, beef, and pork balls. Also ordered chicken lemongrass and steak bun me sandwich. Steak was a lot better. Thai boba was okay. I think the Thai tea is going to be better. Next time. read more

Great bahn mi and good pho! I've tried all of their sandwiches and none of them disappoint. My favorite is the carmalized pork bahn mi which they only have as a special. The pho is good, but not as amazing as their sandwiches. They consistently provide excellent and quick service. Keep up the great work bun me! My stomach appreciates it. read more

Good Shit, man! When I lived in San Jose, I was a Vietnamese connoisseur! Since moving south, I have not been able to find anything good let alone great! I only had the lemongrass chicken sandwich, but it was great. Will be back to hit up the rest of the menu. read more

Dollar for dollar there is no better restaurant in Los Angeles. The ingredients are fresh, the food is DELICIOUS and the portions are perfect. I've been getting the chicken rice plate about three times a week for the past year and I'm still not tired of it. Highly recommend this place. read more

I am definitely a fan. My boyfriend and I just moved to the valley and are on the hunt for good places to eat. This place meets our expectations of good, fresh, tasty food. Super simple place that makes things to order. First time I've had a Vietnamese sandwich (I forget what they're called)- oh my! So good! Fresh ingredients and tasty meat make it worth coming back for more. My boyfriend got the beef stew - the broth is so tasty! We are definitely fans and happy that we found a food joint to add to our list. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I don't know Vietnamese food that well to compare it to others. I just know when I taste good food and want to come back for more. read more

Soooo good!!!! I almost didn't write a review because they are plenty busy and I want to keep this to myself. But when a place does something so right they deserve some credit. Pho, sandwiches and bowls, I typically can't decide what I want the most. Everything is always fresh tasty and good quality. Best summer rolls on the planet (I get the tofu ones). We've been going to Bun Me for two years now. It has great vermicelli with chicken which is very flavorful. It's our favorite local Vietnamese restaurant. The staff is super friendly and accommodating ; they know my order now. Once when I arrived before they opened, they let me in and took my order happily. The prices are affordable, the food is delicious, and they definitely deserve your business! read more

if i could rate them 0 i would. where to start, extremely rude and disrespectful service, wanted to give them 100 dollar bill since i didnt have change, the women behind counter goes "didnt you see the sign no 100 dollar bill in extremely rude tone. i give then credit card, the oerson behind me gets his food faster then me. pho is horrible here, do not eat! meat undercooked and the water is just nasty! overall very bad experiance would not recommend anyone using this place especially when there is alot of eateries in the same plaza! read more

Sandwiches great, fast service, But.......what keeps me from going back is the once white dish cloth now gray/black rag used to wipe the tables. Place is very small, only 6 small tables and the LOUD grating of chairs on the concrete floor will drive your eardrums crazy. May order take out IF they start using CLEAN towels. Makes me wonder about cleanliness issues in food prep. read more

the first time i tried bun me was when i walked to starbucks between a class at csun with a friend. i saw this cute little sandwich place and thought i would try it cause i was very hungry. i tried the pork bun me and i was hooked, i have been here so many times and have taken a lot of friends here as well. this place it great there sandwiches are delicious and the workers are great! they give better service than if you were to go to a fancy restaurant, even when they are super busy!! great deal too very well priced and their milk tea boba is great! read more

I also noticed there wasn't an option to add mayo when ordering, and adding mustard was an extra $1, which felt a little excessive for a condiment. That said, the sandwich still tasted good overall and I'd probably come back to try one of their paninis since those might be a better fit for me.

For the spicy tuna on crispy rice, the rice was burnt, and the bottom had a greasy, burger-style residue that didn't work with the sushi--making the whole bite feel unpleasant rather than balanced. The miso soup was also extremely salty. I specifically asked for seaweed, but it never arrived. I also ordered the lemon roll. Some people describe sushi as "melting in your mouth," but in this case it felt more blended and mashed than properly prepared--disappointing in both texture and quality. By the end of the meal, I felt genuinely sick from the food. Overall, I left upset because I was really hoping for a fresh, enjoyable experience, and instead the quality and flavors were consistently off. I wouldn't recommend this visit until the ingredients and preparation are improved. The ambiance was crowded and horrible.

I used to work down the street from this place and that's how I found this hidden gem. They have a really good pork deli sandwich. I've tried other Vietnamese sandwiches in the area and they just don't compare to this one. Their food is all made to order. I've tried their summer rolls too and those are delish! I've seen others order rice plates and pho and those look yummy, too. Always the same guy at the register who takes my order. Very nice man. He clears off tables really quick when he sees people leave and others waiting for tables. I haven't tried any of their boba or jelly drinks but I see them being ordered whenever I'm there. Worth giving it a try soon. Their sandwiches are huge and the portions of the other dishes are pretty hearty. The place is really small so if you're eating there, I recommend getting there a little before or after lunch time to get a seat. I have been coming to bun me in northridge for about a year now. I am so glad I found this place because it is easily my favorite pho place in the Valley The chicken pho broth is so good! I also recommend the veggie summer rolls. If you're up for some gluten, the bun me sandwhich is good too! The people working here are great, friendly, and now remember my order :). Feels good to eat at a place where everyone is like family. Parking can be a hassle because it's right near CSUN, but usually you'll find a spot somewhere in the lot. If not, you can try and steal a spot from Acapulco or rite aid. Bottom line: I love it!! read more

Their Pork Bun Me is absolutely AMAZING! It becomes addicting fast, and the price isn't that bad either. Their pickled carrots hits the spot. I try going here every Sunday since my church is nearby. The workers there are very friendly and fast on feet. Their Chicken Bun Me was pretty good as well. It's best to go by yourself or with one more person. Their seats are very limited. Try not to order to-go because they don't serve you those delicious crackers that they serve with Bun Me. I haven't tasted their noodles or spring rolls just yet. read more

Friend brought me here for lunch (good choice) and then boba down the street (horrible choice). Solid food. I don't eat the v-sammiches with pig brains (brain cheese) and cold cuts made of lord-knows-what. Only eat v-sandos with GRILLED MEAT. This place delivers plenty. Parking was at 85% capacity but found a spot anyways. Don't know how you'll fare once CSUN starts cranking out Fall classes. After watching Nom Nom Truck on the Food Network channel - I want some banh mi - I did not want to drive far and through searching Yelp - I found Bun Me here in northridge. The grilled lemon grass chicken sandwich was an amazing lunch. Soft bread, crunchy carrots, savory chicken with the lemon grass spice, and cold cucumber to give it an extra crunch. I really liked the banh mi here, I tried the lemon grass chicken. I also tried the chicken pho, I wasn't all that impressed. But the food is pretty inexpensive. I always get the pork sandwich. The bun is was nicely toasted with plenty of pork, which you can never complain about. I just wish I had more shrimp chips.
