It's very rare a burger is presented much like it appears on the menu. That alone speaks volumes to me about a business. My first time ordering here, sweet potato fries were out around 2PM. The regular fries did not disappoint. The burger was superb and on a brioche bun (me likey brioche bread). This is the first time in a while I have not portion controlled...Burger 82 is that good. I had my son pick up lunch one Sunday and was fortunate to try the sweet potato fries...they did not disappoint. This time I did put away half of my food before eating (I'll blame work rush that first time). By the time I sat down with my perfectly portioned meal, mini-me was done. Was not too impressed with my bacon cheeseburger. Burger looked impressive but execution and flavor was lacking. My pattie was slightly dry and could use a bit of salt. There was no char to my pattie. So it seemed like my pattie did not cook on the grill long enough, but yet why is it still dry? I did like the bun they used, it did not crumble on me. Stopped in after playing tennis one evening. It was late and I thought they were about to close but they served me an awesome cheeseburger and fries. I found this to be a pretty average burger. Not a lot of flavor, very greasy, and the same experience with the fries. Absolutely better than a fast food burger, but not one of the better burger joints in DFW. I can see how it's probably rated higher in the far northern suburbs where there are fewer great/local restaurants options. The ingredients were all average restaurant supply quality - nothing seemed fresh, other than being recently poured from a bag. Bulk style patties, grocery store quality buns, and mass produced cheese singles. Again - all fine ingredients but felt just a step above a high school cafeteria. Service was good, but they don't give you a number or take your name when you order. So you are stuck trying to determine when your order is ready as the guy behind the counter yells out burger types. If I lived around the corner, I'd drive somewhere else for a better meal. If I lived around the corner, and wanted a quick burger delivery, this would be better than going for chain food. But absolutely, based on the taste alone, not worth making a special trip or driving out of your way. This place is getting a lot of buzz & it was packed with a line forming on Friday night. I stopped in and placed a takeout order. FOOD: we ordered a hamburger with onion rings and my grandchild had the grilled cheese and French fries. The burger was huge, but dry & tasteless. I suspect it was due to the guy in the kitchen that I watched slap the patties between his hands for a long time. The grilled cheese was nothing spectacular & the toast was too thick for him to get a bite in his little mouth, so ended up tearing it apart. What was spectacular were the onion rings and fries.
