Burger 82 is a very strong contender for the best burger North of Richardson. Right up 75 and off Exchange, this kinda a humble looking place in the strip was closed for a few months after a car drove through the front glass. Now they're back open and I'm happy to say they're as good as ever. Burger 82 really reminds me of Maple and Motor. It's a great quality huge burger with anything you could want or nothing you don't, with excellent fries and tots as well. I usually don't go in for the complicated burgers, but the house burger here with all it's grilled toppings is fantastic. The burger itself is pretty large. I didn't weigh it on a scale but I would say about six oz. of meat. They cook these hot and fast, because the outside sear is a really nice dark brown fond with a ton of flavor, while the inside is still that perfect pink juicy tender crumble of beef! Definitely not the tense dry cafeteria patty you'd find at too many other places. The bun is pretty good. I'd prefer a bit softer and smaller, but the larger bun holds the larger burger and it's toasted up nicely. On the house burger they top it with grilled onions, bell peppers, jalapeños, mushrooms, etc. It's like they dumped the kitchen sink onto the grill and then put everything onto a burger. It might be too large for some to eat, but it's delicious. I recommend that with their sweet potato fries for a great meal. Of all the money I spend on food and all the great things (and bad things) I eat, I'm still a sucker for a humble burger. Burger 82 does it justice and is definitely one of the better if not best place in the area. read more

80/20 = 82. When I asked the owner what 82 stood for, he said it's the meat/fat ratio that makes the tastiest burger, and it did not disappoint. We had the 82House Burger, Avocado bacon burger, and the Bacon Egg Cheeseburger with fries, onion rings, fried calamari (it was awesome!!!), and fried pickles. The overall experience was fantastic. The house burger had quite a bit of a kick with all the jalapeños put in, which I absolutely loved. The burger was so big that I couldn't finish it. Calamari wasn't rubbery nor greasy. Pickles and fries were also really good. Onion rings were okay but not a complete standout like the rest. Although I didn't get to taste the other burgers, my wife and friends all agreed that it was one of the best burgers they have eaten. The restaurant was clean and the food came out pretty quick. The burgers were delicious! I loved the bun ! The fries were delicious also! They had a crunchy texture and they were not soggy!

I ended up getting takeout from here and got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and sweet potato fries! The sandwich itself was okay, however I felt that I was biting down into all the fat which took away from taste of the entire sandwich. The sweet potato fries however were delicious! Both orders were made into a combo It is a "made to order" restaurant but food times were really good. Our order was correct (we customized) and both fresh and hot! Sandwich toppings were refreshing and at the perfect ripeness ( lettuce snd tomato). Not mushy and not picked too early. (I'm a bit picky about my tomatoes!) I enjoyed the mushroom Swiss burger and the fries were like fries from the State Fair. Food came out quickly after ordering and they were prompt on cleaning tables after people left. Burgers are good and speak for themselves, it's their customer service that could use some work. I tried to get cheese tater tots from the menu, however I wanted the cheese on the side. The employee said they were unable to do this as they did not have something to put the cheese in. Then proceeded to put the ranch and ketchup in little containers.
