I knew something was wrong when within minutes of me being there they served me my breakfast. The hashbrowns if that's what he calls sopotatoes. mixed with paprika, and soggy, as was the bacon. Thee eggs prepared properly. The toast was not fresh and had too much margarine.

It's improved. The fries are better and everything just had more flavor. I tried the club sandwich and their healthy chicken wrap, decent!

As plan and simple as I can put it.. they make a tasty burger. Not as good as big kahuna burger but I gotta say it is a tasty burger. it's your average neighborhood burger spot just like all the rest, but the food is good. The people that work here are always really friendly and nice. The ambience is really cool, kickback and mellow chill Place. they make all kinds of different things , like chicken teriyaki, Mexican plates , burritos of different meats . burgers and sandwiches. They have some really good breakfast here too. So as I always say if you're in the area, and just want a good burger that's tasty, Come down. Check it out for yourself and post your own review..

Still rocking great service! This morning's get was a breakfast bacon burrito with jalapeños & hash browns (you have to ask for these on every breakfast dish or else you get the default house potatoes). Classic diner style booths & interior takes you back in time. Chairs have been newly and colorfully reupholstered.

BEWARE!! they give refried fries!!! I really like this local restaurant and like supporting small businesses. This is the 3rd time i get home and get very dissatisfied when i see the fries. They are big portion but refried. Ate only couple of fries of the whole bag. They were hard stale and greasy. I had mentioned this to them before and thought they would stop refrying the fries! But NO! Not sure if i will be going back. They also have different cooks all the time and food is made differently each time. I got a chicken wrap that normally has dressing inside. Got home and no dressing. Didnt think I had to ask for it since usually it comes in it already. I was able to deal with that. But was not a fan of throwing a big portion of fries i payed for.

While searching for a local place to get a good breakfast burrito, we came across Burger Basket. Not too far from us, small local business, good reviews, let's check it out. When arriving, there is parking in the rear, and on that small side street. There is no direct parking in front. There is plenty of space for parking. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, reminiscent of a local hangout...It's not top of the line decor, but it's pretty homely. Inside, there are a few tv's so that you have something to entertain yourself while chowing down. There are a few kid's toys there too to try to keep them entertained and not bouncing off the walls. Alcohol is served here, so it goes well with your food when a game is on. The menus are a bit outdated, and is ever changing, so you'd have to check with them for real time prices. I will say that the past few times i've been there...they do not offer the machaca breakfast burritos as of October 2023. We've been coming back because we're loving the sausage breakfast burritos and the sausage breakfast sandwich. Good taste and very filling!!! They also have pretty good chili cheese fries, but the chili does have a good kick to it. I suffer..but in a good way! If you want a quick and tasty bite, and with friendly service from the staff, this is the place to go!

Needed a fast lunch before the day's errands and good ole Burger Basket came through again. The service was excellent and the food was served piping hot and full of flavor. The sausage burrito had a twist: the potatoes were seasoned up with cumin and chili pepper, possibly chorizo, I was not mad at it. Added a new depth of flavor with the melted cheese, sausage and scrambled eggs. The chicken strips w/fries basket was fried up to perfection and seasoned generously. Burger Basket deserves more recognition in Norwalk's food game. I prefer it over Tam's.

Don't mind how I hold the Burrito . it's really big - FLAMESburrito special

Just a couple of weeks ago, my friends and I were considering our options for where to have brunch to celebrate one of our friend's retirement. Toast was one of the names I dropped in the metaphorical hat, and it won the vote of a few. My friends were surprised that I had named a spot I hadn't yet tried since I'm usually the "foodie" of the group. However, another girl in the group who had been here before vouched for it. I'm glad I finally got to try this place this past weekend, and I cannot wait to return! There were so many things on their menu that I wanted to try. A couple of the ladies ordered green chilaquiles, the friend we were celebrating ordered the Spanish Omelet, another woman I'd met that day had the bacon and eggs, another one ordered the Biscuits and grave with a side of bacon that looked perfectly crispy. I wish I had taken pictures of the plates as it all looked so lovely! I didn't even take a picture of my own food haha. I had my eyes on an omelet, one of the Benedicts or the Chicken n Waffle. In the end, the chicken and waffle won. It comes served with a little container of maple syrup with bacon pieces. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The waffle was delicious, though I did request for some extra syrup on the side. To drink, a few ladies ordered mimosas, one ordered an iced caramel coffee, and I ordered the Carajillo. I fell in love with this drink last summer in Mexico and do not often see it on the menu. I love the subtle citrus notes the Licor 43 adds to this espresso drink. It is very similar to an espresso martini, and theirs comes topped with a toasted marshmallow. I honestly wanted to try almost every item in their Tipsy Barista section of their drinks. I'll just have to come back that many more times :) Plenty of parking in the mall lot. It does get pretty packed during peak hours. Fortunately I had called ahead to put our group of 6 down. We went in on Saturday around 11:30. It slowed down a bit while we were eating, but started to get busy again after 1. Otherwise, we might have been forced to honor their 90-minute rule. All in all, a great experience from everyone in our group. No complaints on the wait, service or food. That certainly deserves a toast. Great job, Toast!

I've been to Off Street Cafe twice for brunch. This restaurant is always busy during the weekend,…read moreso we always have to put our names on the waitlist. Luckily, both times, the wait was quicker than expected and we were seated promptly. The food is typical brunch food, but it is high quality, especially considering how quick the service is. The prices are fair for the portion of food that you get! Was fun to watch the hustle and bustle (and not-so-hustle of some). But BIG note for the manager/owner (and others who are concerned about it), almost ALL the FOH staff was chewing gum while working which is not just a health code violation but also just gross. Hopefully this gets addressed soon. I'll note, my server didn't check on us a single time. We were out of water and coffee by the time our check was dropped off. I will say, facing the back, I did see her (and other staff) go to the back and chew their gum, touch their phones, and drink their drinks without washing their hands and coming back up front (also a health violation, btw). As I mentioned, I've had good service in the past so I'm leaving it at 4-stars.

The iced flight was also a great way to sample several of their flavors without having to commit to just one. For food, the Birria Benedict was the standout and easily our favorite dish. I loved the Mexican-inspired spin on a brunch classic, and the rich birria paired so well with the eggs and Benedict preparation.
