09.30.2017 Grand opening today--busy but not crazy. I believe they've had a soft opening for a week or so. Little O had too much fun ordering using the kiosk. The only disadvantage using it is you can't pay with cash. Oh well... Customizing your own burger makes it fun and the flavors are what you expect. The patties were thick and juicy with great flavor. They were cooked well done. The vegetables were fresh and the overall flavor was really good. Hopefully they can keep it consistent. Consistently average burger. I've been here a few times now and the burger is always decent but nothing spectacular. Their strength is in the quality ingredients they use. Grass fed beef is always something I look for in a burger so that's a huge plus. The only down side here is the topping are often lackluster. They seem to skimp out on toppings. I usually get grilled onions and there's barely any on there. Same with the spread - this usually leaves you with a pretty plain burger. The fresh cut fries are really good though, and service is friendly. So overall not a bad place to grab a burger. read more

I was introduced to this place thanks to a gig I was doing. I've been to both the Newport location and the Tustin location. Both places are great and provide a different type of experience. The Newport Beach location is great for if you feel like taking it to-go and taking a 1 minute walk right across to the beach shore. The Tustin location is great for if you want a spacious, clean place that is fairly quiet. The plaza just opened up so not many people visit yet. Here, I got the double beef patty with pepper jack on a kaiser roll. Absolutely delicious! The patty isn't like the typical "way-too-Packed-together-and-dry" consistency. 3.5 stars. My wife and I were stuck in traffic and decided to eat dinner and relax before getting back on the road. We found Burger Boss thanks to Yelp and arrived for an early dinner. I loved the ordering system: big touch screens that make it easy to customize your burger just the way you like it. You can also order fries, drinks, and more, then pay. I wish more restaurants used these systems. After we ordered, we found a table and our food arrived quickly. Everything was cooked just fine. My wife went with the grass-fed beef and I had the turkey burger. Both were good, if not earth-shattering. We shared fries, which were good as well. The restaurant itself was spacious and clean, with an outdoor patio if you want to dine al fresco. Did I find the food to be the amazing and life-changing experience of other reviewers? Stopped by for a quick bite for lunch. It's a build your own burger place but I went with a grilled chicken breast on a white kaiser roll. You can pick your protein, pick your bun, pick your sauce, your cheese and your toppings. Added some herbed mayo, pepper jack cheese, lettuce tomato and pickles. Fries were hot and thick cut like I love them but they definitely needed ranch dressing. Next time I will try the sweet potato fries! We were looking forward to a different combination of burger this time since we loved what we ate last time . We ordered the double beef patty with chipotle and herb mayo , added lettuce , grilled onions and grilled jalapeños along with sharp cheddar . The burger was OUT OF THIS WORLD , loved every bite and I love how their burgers are made extremely fresh , so my experience with their burgers has been consistent , a 10/10 . For fries we got the sweet potato fries and again a 10/10 , I've only had sweet potato fries once somewhere else and only have a very weird sweet taste associated with it , I was a little hesitant to try those but they were so so good , very fresh and crispy . The size of the burger was great with big, juicy patties placed neatly on the bun with all toppings. I took one bite and was immensely disappointed. The burger has absolutely ZERO flavor. Not a sprinkle of any flavoring at all! I mean for a $10 burger to be that bland is ridiculous. Let me introduce the Boss to salt and pepper. The quality can be as high as you like but if there is no taste then who cares? The fries come unsalted as well and had an aftertaste of fish for some reason and I couldn't eat them.
