New favorite spot alert! I recently tried Burger Boss, and wow--the Mighty Boss meal did not disappoint! The grass-fed and grass-finished burger was a game-changer. Not only was it delicious, but I felt great knowing it's lower in calories. Who knew a burger this tasty could be guilt-free? I went with the Original Boss (Mighty size!), added fries, and an iced tea--all for just $9.99! It's rare to find a meal that's both healthy and such an incredible value. I love the build your own burger concept. And they have fun side and drink options. I love that they have vegetarian and vegan options and they make it easy to know what is "safe" to order. I don't love that the black bean burgers are a challenge for them to cook properly. First time, the burgers were mushy and seemed undercooked. I decided to try it again in case it was just a bad day. Nope, they just don't do a good job with these. Is it worse to not offer a veggie option or cook it so poorly it turns people away from ordering it again? The patty is cooked on the outside, but mushy and soft in the middle. It's so soft, it breaks and squishes out the side of the bun. Messy and yucky. I just ended up eating it as a veggie sandwich. Not worth the price tag of almost $10 just for the burger/sandwich when the patty escapes. read more

Pleasantly surprised! I loved the build-your-own-burger aspect to this restaurant. And what I loved even more was that these burgers were TASTY!!! without making me feel gross and heavy after a meal of burger and fries I had a turkey burger and my fiance had the hot chicken sandwich. We both loved our food!! Everything on the burger was fresh and the burger patty itself was flavorful and moist! We also really enjoyed our sweet potato fries. They were simple and light in flavor without being greasy. The food didn't feel oily at all and felt wholesome. The restaurant itself is also nice and clean! At the same time, I wouldn't call them super slow. What's even better, is any topping you can put on your burger, you can also put on your fries! How friggin' cool is that? We placed our order, gave them a name, then sat down. There was no buzzer or number, so I wasn't sure if we had to wait or what. Since we were sitting outside, I waited inside in case they called my name. I finally saw they were delivering food to other tables so I felt good about heading out to my table. I must mention the amazing fries as well. We only had gooey, runny, cheese poured all over them, but it was exactly what I wanted. The fries were not too crispy (my preference) but had a great taste of soft potato on the inside where it was like the grease didn't penetrate. Delicious. I really love this little shopping area. There wasn't much traffic so sitting outside was actually very pleasant. In all honesty, we might be eating here more often than the District, which we visit on a regular basis to see a movie. I discovered this place a few months back and when I did, I swear I was in complete bliss. The burgers were amazing and the fries were tasty so I went back a few times but with each visit, I became more and more disappointed. It started to be hit-or-miss experience. I'm not sure if they changed their meat, their seasoning, fired their cooks, or hired new ones but something changed. The flavor was lacking in the burgers. The patties weren't evenly cooked having gray sections on one half while being perfectly seared on the other half. On the subject of the patty, they changed their seasoning or stopped seasoning the patties because they taste plain. While eating the burger, I expect to taste the beef with some salt and pepper but all I taste is bland meat mixed with dressing and pickles. I went there yesterday after not going for over a month and once again, I was disappointed. I took my friend with me and he said it was okay but he wouldn't recommend it. I'm not sure if the time of day matters but maybe it does. It was just shortly after 3pm yesterday and I skipped lunch just so I could meet up with my friend only to feel the let down once again. This is like my 2nd time coming to this location and I've been to Burger Boss a few times in LA and Cypress, those times never disappoints! Quality and service is spectacular. The food never makes me feel bad as a normal burger. Love that they've added Craft Beverages and Grilled Bell Peppers as a topping. I have been to Burger Boss maybe 10 times in the past year. It's always been a great experience. I'm actually writing this review for a couple reasons. One, the food and service have always been exceptional. Two, there's never anyone in there when I go. I asked the crew today about that. They said that during the week, it's really slow. I don't understand it. I'm a restaurateur and I just don't know why it's so slow. The rest of the center is busy and the food not so great. Please go try this place!! Everything we've had has been delicious and the burgers are made with grass fed beef. They also have turkey and chicken and Veggie burgers. Everything is fresh & healthy. Give it a try. I walk in and I see a worker cussing out a bunch of middle schoolers for asking for water cups. Yes, they probably got soda, but that does not give you the right to cuss them out.
