I felt like I should be getting more Hawaiian food on our last day in Maui, but I couldn't resist the smell of the burgers here. They're in the food truck area behind South Maui Gardens. They use A5 wagyu beef, and their Deuce Deuce (double smash burger) totally hit the spot. The patties were quality meat with a nice sear and excellent seasoning. The burger was very substantial, and it had a really good bun that held up to the burger well. We also got some seasoned fries on the side, which were like spiral cut potato wedges that tasted like curly fries. If you're looking for a really good smashburger, come find their truck. read more

Would have a higher review but I carefully stressed that I have a severe sugar allergy and was assured that the Deuce Deuce wouldn't have sugar because I was getting it without a bun and without sauce. This morning I'm incapacitated due to ingesting sugar--maybe the grilled onions, maybe the fact that they put pickles in the order even though I asked them not to, and perhaps the juice from the pickles (which I removed, along with the lettuce underneath it) has gone into the food). A wasted day in Maui because of a lack of care here. Please do better. read more

Had the deuce deuce burger yesterday and was honestly blown away at how good it was. The patties were big, perfectly smashed, and didn't have a weird crust around it like some other smash burger places I've been to here on Maui. There was just enough sauce and cheese so the flavor of the meat didn't get lost. You could also tell a difference in the quality of the bun. The burger was large, but also didn't fall apart when eating it. Really recommend this place for a delicious, high quality burger. Also the onion rings were delicious and well made too. Man I really wanted to like this place but it wasn't that great. The pics online look awesome but the actual food doesn't look like it. First off service was pretty horrible. We waited over an hour for our food. We gave specific on our burger with toppings and it came out with what we asked not to be on it. Didn't want to deal with taking it back to get it fixed due to the wait. Prices are not any cheaper than cool cats that just opened down the street. These burgers were outrageously good! They're smash burgers, so be ready to eat pretty thin, but extremely juicy and delicious patties. You can get anywhere from a single patty, to having 4! Their french fries are homemade and were super crispy and wonderful. Prices are fair, and atmosphere was very cool! There's tons of games that my wife and I enjoyed playing around, like corn hole, mini axe throwing, and beer ring! Great place to go on a date, or bring the whole family. read more

I've lived on Maui for almost 6 years and have been searching for my go- to burger. Well, I found it. This is the burger of my dreams. The lacey edges of the wagu patty, the meaty American cheese, which is the only way to go in my opinion, the bun is perfectly fluffy - and then to top it off, Their fries are LITERALLY the best fries I've ever had. And and then to take it even further, the service is always outstanding, and you are greeted with a smile. the atmosphere in which you can enjoy your burger is peaceful and beautiful. The whole experience absoluuuuuuutely slaps. 11/10 read more

My wife ordered a plain double bacon cheeseburger with their special sauce on the side. They gave us a burger with sauce all over it so I politely asked if they could remake the burger without sauce. The man working was extremely rude and unprofessional, not sure if he is the owner or manager or what, but he seemed like the guy in charge. He told me that my wife lied about the order and he refused to remake it. I tried to reason with him, and he rolled his eyes and and told me that they would make my burger after their long list of orders were caught up, well after I paid in full for my meal, and after I had already been waiting quite a while. 10/10 would NOT recommend this place. Hands down one of the best burgers I've had. Very juicy and tender. I live a low carb life so they were accommodating and offered a bed of lettuce no bun option. One tip is their location. 35 Auhana street address is huge. They are located on the back portion of the property. Easier to park at Kihei triangle and walk across the street. I will be back. We got the western burger (just get it, it's phenomenal, so much flavor, really the best burger I've ever had) !! And the p-10 (such an amazing classic) and the bang bang fries (holy! seriously the best fries)! Not only was the food amazing but the service and atmosphere was equally as good! I felt for a non brick and mortar place, The price of food was extremely high I might as well get a Wolfgang burger for that price, I'll get indoor and AC instead of sitting on a park bench.
