This burger king takes the crown! Logan and a female employee were both so nice! They had such a great attitude, were friendly, and you could tell they actually enjoyed working there. Logan encouraged us to get a meal instead of just a sandwhich. His upselling sales skills are hard to resist! The female employee offered us crowns that we of course accepted. We learned Logan and her were having a friendly competition between who could hand out more crowns. It was such a fun, entertaining and unexpected fast food experience! We were passing through Eureka on a road trip and were so pleasantly surprised at the level of service. Great job guys. Thanks for the laughs, and good energy! read more

The good is decent enough when you get it, but it takes forever and they're always out sauce or sodas. You're forced your use the kiosk which is slow and buggy. It's quite inside of the place, but that's probably because it doesn't feel clean any everyone chooses the drive through. read more

Not only have the prices gotten ridiculous but this "fast food" service has become terribly slow. They also are apparently hiring people and not requiring the their employees be familiar with the menu and what is included in what meal for instance a bacon king meal which is a double patty burger only having one patty. After spending all afternoon visiting the Redwoods - and visiting a craft brewery - I was starving, and in no mood to spend time looking for a restaurant that appealed to me at that moment. So I rolled into BK, ordered the traditional Chicken Sandwich, with cheese, tomato, and onions added, an order of onions rings, and a bottle of water. There's a lot of reviews on this site saying that the food is awful, or that it takes too long to get service, or that the place smells of weed, but in all honesty that all seems a bit much. The store is poorly stocked, sure, but that seems to be a more corporate issue. This is a Burger King in McKinleyville, how high on the corporate totem pole do you think they are? I will admit that the eating area was a bit dirty, but nothing a quick wipe down couldn't fix (and they seemed busy enough that it could be that they just haven't gotten around to it). I ordered a whopper with cheese no pickles no tomato no ketchup (allergic) and a fish sandwich for my grandma for mother's day. Her sadwhich was fine, mine not only had everything that was not supposed to be on it but was cold and raw! I always look at my food just in case restaurants put that stuff on. I took it off then took two bites low and behold pinker than salmon. After visiting my grandma went to the restaurant to show them. They wanted to make me another one I sad no thank you I got sick, okay we can still make you another..... Um no I puked and am not hungry. I felt sorry due to only 2 people being there in which was causing everything to be slow. No manager answered to help with a refund. They gave me all my money back, but told them the one sadwhich was fine but the other was not. The building outside needs help inside as well. People are right about the slowness of service at this location. The workers are nice, if a bit surly. It's not their fault though. The "management" , or lack thereof, is the reason they aren't overjoyed to work there. First of all, their drink machine has been broken for a long time, and they don't even have a menu. I've used the drive thru a couple times at this location, usually to grab a drink and some fries or the occasional combo meal. The staff that I've encountered have all been friendly and courteous. My food is usually hot and the beverage cold. I would give this place negative stars if I could. The service is always rude or dismissive and the food is crap no matter what time of day. In the morning the manager is crazy stingy on sauces and the night crew stops making fresh food 30 mins to an hour (or so) before closing time. Corporate gives out coupons with a good deal but even with that price the food isn't worth it. The burgers would taste fine if they didn't use cheap mayo. I literally have to tell them to leave the mayo off and keep a stash of Best Foods mayo packets in my car to even enjoy the burgers. The staff are super nice, though and the tacos are substantial for being fast food. I do not much care for the atmosphere, as many drunk people tend to hang around here, which is why I always get my meal to go. I do NOT recommend this Burger King. Unfortunately, one terrible experience has ruined this location for me. This is what happened a few months back: I was going through the drive-thru when I handed my debit card to the cashier, and I noticed he was bleeding from a cut on his finger. It was clearly a fresh cut, and it was bleeding badly. He handed the card back to me, and it had his blood on it. He then handed me my bag of food. Now, I could see the guy was working very hard, and I understand that accidents happen, but I just couldn't eat after that. I then parked my car, so that I could go inside and return my food. I explained to the manager that I understand that cuts happen, and I wasn't mad, but I did want a refund because I was returning the food. The manager looked at me like I was being dramatic and said, "Well, he didn't make your food." Then she just stared at me like I'd change my mind. I explained that it did not make a difference, and that I still wanted my money back. If the manager would have at least pretended to be more apologetic I'd probably still be a returning customer, but instead she acted like I was an inconvenience. Sorry BK, but ALL employees should be expected to adhere to good hygiene. It makes no difference to me if the employee did not make my food. He should not be bleeding as he swipes my card and hands me my bag of food! Do only those who make the food have to wash their hands after using the restroom then? We were the only car at the restaurant/drive thru at this time and still took over 30 minutes to receive my order that we pre ordered on the app I was parked had my kids and ended up having my sister come get my kids because the lobby was locked and they both couldn't hold it and needed the bathroom. I always wondered who bothered reviewing fast food on Yelp. Now I understand why you'd want to - to try to warn others. The employees here always seem pissed off that you would try to come order food here. The food is gross. The buns are stale and the burger patties are dry and shriveled. Try ordering several different items you might want to eat, because not all of them are going to make it in the bag. The major redeeming feature of this Burger King (in our family's opinion) is that it has a children's play structure inside. And, we get circulars that keep us constantly supplied with BK coupons. The food is all right, usually pretty fresh. The staff are unremarkable, except one guy who looks like he might be on meth. But, he always gets our order correct, so... The thing I don't like about the organization of the kid's area is that they placed a big wall of computer screens between the booths and the play area, so you can't see your kids while you are sitting there (unless they're up high in the maze of tunnels). But, at least you can see both exits from the eating area, so the kids can't escape without someone noticing. read more
