If it's Guy Fieri approved, it's good for me! Stopped in here on the way to Reno and what a fun find! It's tucked away right off 80 in Truckee. Parking is on either side of the small road, so be careful! They serve burgers, salads, milkshakes and have beer on tap. I ordered up a chicken sandwich and added bacon. The chicken was a bit over cooked, but overall, it was pretty tasty. You can order regular fries or sweet potato fries. I opted for the sweet and they were sooo yummy! Plenty of options for burgers and toppings. The wait can bit long as it gets crowded, but it's not too bad. I'd definitely stop here again driving up to the Tahoe/Reno area. There is one now open in Reno off Robb Drive, so if you can't stop in Truckee, try the Reno one. Couple tv's on the walls and decent seating inside. Best part. We needed some chow after sitting in traffic on 80 and this place did not disappoint. The burgers (I had bison and my wife had a cheeseburger) were cooked to perfection and very tasty. The BBQ sauce in the dispenser is fantastic, put it on everything. The fries were delicious and everything is served up just like in-and-out. The only criticism I have is that one of the cooks was mixing up some fantastic looking shakes that were no where on the menu. If we hadn't already ordered sodas we'd have been all over that. Always have a good burger here. I like the fact they have sliders when I'm not too hungry, the fries are good, and the milkshakes look tempting. My husband always gets a draft beer, so he's happy. I love this place. Sometimes they are a bit crowded but it's because it is worth it and everyone knows it. My son and I were in town for a couple days. He got the slider. I got a cheeseburger. Both with upgraded buns. He got a salted caramel shake which was insane. Both burgers were perfect. Really tasty. This is the kind of place that makes you want to eat burgers every day. Line was out the door when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon but we quickly were able to place our order. We kept it simple with cheeseburgers for this visit but their menu had some tempting burger creations including an impossible burger option. Hubs had the regular fries and I opted for the sweet potato fries. Both were perfectly cooked and crisp. Yummy! 14yr old enjoyed a vanilla shake that he said was really good. There is no waiting if you come at 11:00 am. By 11:00 am your wait time will be at least 30 min at the Squeeze In. Bison meat is different from lamb or beef. Must give a try to add it to your tasting experience! This is not McDonalds and everything is cooked fresh so it may take 15 min to get your order. The BBQ bison is amazing. This was our first dinner in Truckee, and we were so excited to have really good burgers, based on the excellent reviews. A couple of main problems I noticed before we got the food: they did not clean up obviously messy tables, even when multiple people asked, and it took way too long to get our order. When we finally got it, our reaction was just...meh. My SO's bison burger was overcooked and too thin. My bison burger was cooked correctly, but the patty was similarly too thin. We were expecting more from $12 burgers. And the sweet potato fries? Very meh as well. My SO thinks they were store bought. If you're in Truckee for pleasure, skip this place. My husband and I stopped at Burger Me in Truckee on Labor Day. I was surprised it wasn't slammed busy. I was initially put off right after we ordered and paid (like you do at fast food restaurants) and the register requests a tip. ?? Tip before we receive any service? Okay - whatever, I chose 15%. We found an empty table and noticed it was dirty (dried ketchup, lots of crumbs, etc). I asked the same guy who just took our order for a rag to wipe down the table. He brought a rag to the table and very quickly brushed the rag around on the table. Dried ketchup still on the table, crumbs now wet and stuck to the table, plus crumbs all over the bench and chairs. Cleaned it myself. We sat at the table and the table was wobbly. I took some napkins from the dispenser on the table, folded them and bent down to put the napkins under the table leg. Other customers must have tried the same trick, as many napkins were stuffed under the table, to no avail. We moved down to the next table. Groundhogs Day -- table was dirty. This time, I wet down a few napkins and cleaned it myself. The restaurant is so dirty! Floor was sticky, counter area where soda and condiments are kept was dirty. Bathroom "wasn't horrible" but needed attention. Now for the food review: we both got the blackened fish sandwich. I was thinking we'd get a thick piece of blackened cod, especially for the price! Instead, the bun was sparsely covered with cod pieces that were maybe 1/8" thick. Fries were good and Dr. Pepper was good. While we were waiting for the food, all three register workers were looking at their cell phones. Sadly disappointed with the atmosphere and our lunch today. read more
