Had a freshly grilled and prepared burger here today and a side of fries. As far as "fast food" style places go-this burger was so good....Fresh ingredients, the meat was grilled To perfection. Saw all the great reviews so I had high expectations for this place. Perhaps I should have tried one of the signature burgers, but all of them sounded a lil too wild at the time. The burger and fries were alright, but honestly probably would not get it again. The price point is alright ranges from $6-$14 dollars for a burger depending on how wild. So we got takeout, 12 burgers were ordered, but we only ended up getting 8 of our burgers. Perhaps through miscommunication or maybe they aren't used to getting large orders? Our group ended up splitting most of the burgers among ourselves to avoid having to head back. I got the basic hamburger with pickles and lettuce, grilled onions, added an egg and bacon. The pickles and onions were all shoved to a side of the burger, and the egg was so tiny, perhaps it was a quail egg? (jk), the bacon was alright. The burger as a whole was alright, however, the buns were super soggy and the patty wasn't as juicy as I hoped. The fries also were soggy. The sweet potato fries are better than the regular. The nice thing about the store is they have a ton of condiments you can add! I saw grey poupon, which I love, but they didn't have sauce containers for takeout readily available, so boo hoo. Overall, the burger was just alright, but at about $9 for my burger, it was a disappointment. If I were to come back, it'd be for the sweet potato fries and maybe one of the signature burgers. read more

I really hope you alert customers to the fact that you put peanut butter in your turkey chili. It's totally unnecessary and puts people with food allergies at risk. We stopped by before heading to a concert in Reno and I was craving something meaty. Sometimes a big fat juicy burger with cheese and bacon just hits the spot! So we stopped by Burger Me! and really enjoyed our meal. I got the burger special, which was a patty stuffed with cheese, topped with an onion ring, bacon, jalapeños, and BBQ sauce (~$9) and my husband got the Greek burger (~$8-9). The burgers don't come with fries, but a side of fries or onion rings is cheap enough (~$2.50) or you can upgrade to a bigger basket for ~$5. The burgers themselves were good, the bun was light and the meat was cooked well. They weren't huge, but definitely full you up. We ordered sides of sweet potato fries and onion rings, both came out crispy & hot. We sat outside on the patio (dogs allowed!). Order at the counter, they bring the food out. Pretty simple set up. The staff were really nice and helpful. Even though I ordered small sides, I was charged for and given a basket. But the girl at the counter promptly refunded me, which i appreciate! read more

We went here after hiking all day. It was my husband's birthday. He was excited that they offer a gluten free bun. He got the Italian Stallion and said that it was pretty tasty altogether, but a little high priced. The kids ordered off the kids menu and were disappointed to get a slider-sized burger. They left still hungry :/ The kid's meal was only $3.50 so I should have realized. It is more geared towards small kids 6 and under I think. I was trying to be good and got the turkey chili and small side salad. The chili was delicious! The side salad had lettuce that tasted dirty or old. I didn't finish it. We live in South Reno and were very excited to get a nice burger place at the Summit. We ate at the one in the North side of town and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The one in the Summit Mall is in the old Fat Burger place, updated slightly. I ordered a cheese burger with tomatoes and onions, started to eat it, no onions, so I went back to the counter to get some, the gal at the counter gave me some but said they don't put them on the burgers. Really! I think she is mistaking. All the Ice tea and lemonade are self serve in large plastic containers like we used when I cooked at a Sorority House, kinda tacky. Menu is nice with lots of great specialty burgers. The meat was well cooked, thick, and tasty. We ordered a range of options including elk, lamb, and standard burgers as well as fries, onion rings, and shakes. The fact that every patty was the exact same shape and size gives me pause, as if they're all delivered pre-shaped and frozen. Unfortunately they use mixed greens for the lettuce which just becomes limp and stringy once warm. The gyro burger was bland and dry. The fries and the onion rings were dense and not particularly fresh. The chocolate shake was made to order but was somehow not sweet. Terrible service, bad burger, awesome onion rings. First take out meal: asked for a well done burger, got a seared patty... It's was very pink and cold in the middle. Maybe just a mistake... Second take out meal: asked again for well done, got a burned patty. It's was charred almost dry. Bacon on it was burned too. The chill locals who work here are too chill. My to go order sat on the counter for 6 minutes as I stood there and watched the same 3 front counter peeps walk by it. Wtf! At least your onion rings are bomb. Burgers were good, fries were lukewarm. All in all food was good. HOWEVER, the employees, not so much. The kid that took our order spoke to himself, had to have him repeat everything. He left an item off our order, so we went to reorder it. When the girl taking the order overcharged us, she insisted she was right. After someone helped her get it right, she seemed really ticked and copped quite an attitude. My wife called her on it and she did a basic, "what me?" routine. Bomb ass burger. The garlic fries were good for taste but you better eat them fresh and ask for them in a paper bag because they dump garlic oil on them. If you don't there ruined. But still taste great just don't want that much oil man and don't eat those in your car by all means. Burgers great and fries are good if you get regular too. We just went to the Burger Me in Truckee yesterday. We were severely disappointed as the floors were dirty with dirty napkins on the floor, tables were not wiped clean after each customer leaves, the food was flavorless and mediocre at best, Fries were stale and not hot, the Big Dipper sandwich was flavorless as was the Au Jus to dip my sandwich in. I am not one to complain; however, being it was the original Burger Me that Guy Fieri had gone to and reviewed we figured it would be just amazing...it was not We've also been to the one in Reno before which was cleaner but food still mediocre at best. I am not sure if the original owners are still the owners of these restaurants or if it has been sold off, but sadly it was disappointing. Also the kids slider burgers were overcooked. read more

Read reviews on this place and decided this was the spot to check out during our walk through old town Truckee. Maybe I had higher expectations after reading through fellow Yelpers' reviews, but I was definitely not impressed and most likely won't be coming here on a next visit. Let me explain why. First and foremost, the young girl that took our order needs training on customer service. Chewing gum with her mouth open, asking "what else" after each order, and not once did I see a smile. It's like we were annoying her that we were ordering food. Great first impression. So, we ordered 2 burgers and 2 baskets of fries- sweet potato and garlic fries. Our burgers came out with one basket of fries and we were told the other was on the way. The basket of sweet potato fries that we had were COLD like they had been sitting out for a while. Extremely disappointing first bite especially when people had been raving about them. Don't even bother with the garlic fries... they forgot to give them to us and by the time we got them it was at the end of our meal. Those were disappointing too. They were piping hot, but it was like they were lightly sprinkled with garlic and Parmesan cheese. Could barely taste the garlic. Just order regular fries. You won't taste the difference. I guess this place can be hit or miss? I didn't catch what was so great. Food was ok and customer service was less than ok. Womp. read more

We stopped here on our way down to Tahoe. We got there a bit before the lunch rush on a Saturday over Labor Day weekend. They have tables outside and inside and paid parking on the street. I got a stuffed burger, which was okay. The cheese wasn't melted, so I probably wouldn't order it again. However, it still tasted fine and I did finish it :). Husband got a bison burger and he was happy with his choice. They let you choose from a white or wheat bun, and fries were good. The onion rings looked amazing, next time... on that trip I will also get one of their milkshakes, they looked great! I will be visiting again. read more

Context: After traveling for several hours and being turned away on the 267 because we didn't have the right chains and extending our trip by another hour, we had to get off the road to take the edge off. Traveling with chains in sketchy weather makes you more calculated with your destinations. Burger met and exceeded expectations. Highlights: Gluten Free Buns - Win. The bison burger, giro burger, and bbq bison burger were good. I think we liked the bison burger the best. Their garlic fries tasted and smelled fresh. We liked that the burgers were on the smaller side. It makes it easier for kids to enjoy. They did offer a kids menu but only one of our kids likes ordering from the kids menu. We were in the area for Spring Break '21 and were craving a great burger. Should also mention had spent most of the day on the slopes. We ordered take-out; patio seating is available. Patrons and staff were awesome. All very patient and accommodating, our first visit. Parking was not an issue as it was on the side of the road. But we expected, as it was a Friday evening. My family would have walked from the Truckee Museum if we had too. The team definitely delivered. The menu is simple Build Your Own Burger or select from some Favorites. We ordered Bison Burgers, Elk Burger, and a create your own with Fried Egg and avocado. Gazing at the menu we ordered shakes, too. handmade with real ice cream and amazing flavor and consistency (strawberry, chocolate, and a coffee flavor w/ chocolate drizzle & whipped cream). The best shakes we had in along time. To sum it all up, we were surprised by the size and flavor of the burgers. kids loved the Bison burgers and were asking to go back for a second. My Elk burger perfect. The family enjoyed the garlic fries as well. Thanks to the owner for having our backs on the dipping sauces. Family loved the ranch.
