Great place to order a burger and fries if that's all you want. You can customize your burger. They also have cheese fries which is a guilty pleasure of mine. Word to the wise- don't get too adventurous with their crazy toppings. I like to be daring with my food choices, but doing this blindly on a burger will lead you astray (I say blindly because there is not a lot of explanation on what the topping actually is or tastes like for ex. Neon relish). I got a bunch of new and eccentric toppings that were listed and ended up hating my burger. My husband who stuck to pickles,lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup and mustard on his burger- made the right call. It was a delicious burger when you stick to the basics. One of the best vegetarian burgers I have ever had. We go here at least once ever couple weeks. The bun is a kaiser roll that just melts in your mouth. Tried Burger Monger as a treat for my burger-loving hubby on his birthday this Tuesday, June 14th; and were not disappointed. The toppings were amazing and the kids loved the mac and cheese also on the menu. Optimum quality ingredients are used in every menu item here. Prices were high, but you can tell why when you take one bite into your high-quality burger. I would recommend asking to have it cooked medium well. I found all the reviews here to be honest including the fact that the burgers are made well done by default. This does not take away from the juiciness or tastiness, though. It's worth the splurge! I got balsamic tomatoes, lettuce, fried onions, brie cheese and their special sauce on mine and my husband got a double cheese burger that totaled 1lb of meat. The service was fabulous and friendly. Tried for the first time today and will never go back. Had just the plain burger monger with lettuce and tomatoe. This way i could taste the burger and not the toppings like everyone else that posts about the unlimited free toppings you can pile on. The burger was dry and definately previously frozen, seemed compact and thin also. Pretty much tasteless but what overpowered the whole burger was the bun that is buttered with a garlic and herb flavor according to one of the employees when asked. You won't know what the food is like untill you try it, right. My 2 cents, not a fan and wife and I wont be back. You can taste good kobe beef and you won't taste here. This chain has no calorie charts in the store OR online. Really disappointing for those of us actually wanting to watch our calorie intake. I ended up not getting anything to be safe that I did not over do it. Got my kids a burger and a hotdog and the hotdog was terrible looking. The bun was already in 2 pieces when it was served and looked like crust of it had been removed. My wife had a chopped salad that was done with a jalapeño vinaigrette and while they said it wasn't that spicy my wife could not eat it because it was excessively spicy to her. They did offer to replace it with something else but her pallet was already ruined and since I couldn't eat because of unknown calories in items she just opted for a refund. read more

Excellent Burgers! The buns are toasted nicely, all condiments and ingredients are really fresh, and the Burger itself is out of this world good! I've been a few times, and sometimes forget to order medium or medium-rare, but even meduim-well is good. The fries are good too, but maybe they can be a bit better. I had not been there for a year for so and wanted to give it a try again. The burger was good and it was only $5 Mondays so it was a better deal. Lucky because it was not worth $6.99 for sure. It was 6oz.before cooked I would presume. I got fries because I like the skin still on them. When I got my food it looked fantastic. The fries looked great but they were barely warm. I had to stuff them down to eat before they were cold. I hate to complain and didn't have time to wait for more so I just ate and when I had time I wrote this. I hate when you have to ask to make sure they don't give you fries that have sit around like these. Their food is good however the service continues to go downhill. The cashier couldn't think for herself, the waitress was rude and confrontational, the cooks couldn't speak English (per the waitress), there was no manager on duty to assist with the issue AND 3 weeks later I have yet to hear back from them regarding our issue. This place falsely advertises their products. Their menus including their website states that they use premium ingredients such as Haagen Dasz ice cream. We saw them using Blue Bell ice cream. When we asked, they said that they have not had time to change their menus yet. We did not pay for Blue Bell, we paid for Haagen Dasz. If they are lying to you about the ice cream, WHAT ELSE ARE THEY LYING TO YOU ABOUT? Maybe the beef is ot Kobe either? This brings serious doubts about the integrity of the ownership. They are cutting corners at the consumer's expense. The burger was so small all that you tasted was the bun. The tomato was an end piece that was no bigger than a tomato. The fries portion was small. You think you are paying premium price for premium products, but not so in this case. I think you get much more for your money at Five Guys. Or even McDonalds or Wendy's to be honest at least you are getting what is advertised!!!!!! read more

I love this place. The burgers are so tasty. The quality of meat is fantastic, and well worth the price. You pay a bit extra because they use Kobe beef, which makes the perfect melt-in-your-mouth burger. I have been here quite a few times since moving to the area in May. The manager is awesome, too. This was the WORST experience I've ever had. I received a very salty Pattie. I called back and they apologize. I felt like the young ladie's apology was sincere so I said that I will accept the store credit. Iwa told that I could redeem my burgers anytime. I reedemed one of the burgers and when I called to reedem the other burger 1 month later, I was told by Dan(store) owner that he couldn't fine my info. The best burgers in Tampa in my opinion. The beef is way better quality than your average burger spot. Maybe not organic but I believe it is grass fed. The fries are fried in beef fat which is way healthier than oil. And so good! I believe they make their buns in house. They serve Haagen Diaz ice cream as well! The blt salad is my favorite. They put a ton of bacon on it and it comes with garlic toast. Parking is honestly the worst if you come after 6, as they share a lot with bonefish as well as an ice cream place and another restaurant. Sometimes you have to circle around a few times to find a spot. Monday is 5 dollar burger day but cheese is extra. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. Over-priced, average tasting food. However, the "kicker" was the owner who went around thanking and greeting customers, but who hopscotched over my table. As a black female eating alone who had gone there to relax and had arrived long before the other guests, I found his selective greeting of customers offensive, rude, in poor taste and basically discriminatory. After awhile he did ask if I was watching a hockey game that was on the screen. I was not and asked if he could turn the station to CNN. I don't think he liked that. When I politely asked him over to my table and mentioned my experience and recited what I had witnessed, he became immediately defensive, mumbled some sort of half-apology and walked away. We had lunch here around 1pm. It was busy but not packed. The restaurant itself isn't very big but we were able to get a booth without trouble. You order at the counter and they bring you your food when it's ready. We ordered two veggie mongers and shared an order of fries. Love that you can pick your own toppings and sauce. I got mine with lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, ketchup and mustard. My bf got his with lettuce, tomato, sweet onions, jalapeños, guacamole and chai chipotle chup. Our food was ready in about ten minutes. The person that brought out our food asked if they told us the fries weren't vegetarian. He said they were made with beef fat. Ugh, no, they didn't. Both veggie burgers were great and I liked that the patties were clearly homemade. The chipotle sauce was really good! We would definitely go back but skip the fries next time. Took off two stars because I think the people that take orders should let anyone ordering veg burgers know that the fries aren't veg. Or it should be stated on menu. read more

Being one of the three burger joints in a one mile radius I decided to check out this place. The staff was amazingly friendly, fries were top notch, chocolate malted milkshake was good, topping options were fresh and good quality with an impressive selection. Here's my one issue... The burgers were merely OK. As this is a burger place, that fact drags them down. The patties were reasonable in size but not ample or generous. Buns were well toasted but If they were challah I could not tell. They claim that the patties are Kobe beef which is good for knowing where your food comes from in terms of animal treatment, feeding, anti-biotics etc. but Kobe beef is famous for its rich, fatty quality and marbling which it loses entirely when rendered into a patty. Any local grassfed beef would do just as well at a lower price. Considering there is a Red Robin (which provides larger portions as well as very high quality burgers at comparable costs) and a Five Guys (whose portions are a match for Burger Monger at a more reasonable price) within the same few blocks, it just seems like an unnecessary compromise. Also, it's right next door to a Beef O'Bradys which is greasy as hell but huge and sometimes that's is all you want out of a burger. read more

I will give these guys points for having good toppings and other options for the burgers, but all said and done, it didn't knock me off my feet. The beef was...fine, but not especially flavorful. To be fair, that describes basically every burger chain these days. But I was hoping maybe it would be a little better. But I was able to make my perfect burger with exactly the toppings I wanted, so that's a big plus. Also - I feel like everything was a little expensive. The price you pay for that customization is the ability to almost nickel and dime yourself in to a pretty expensive burger. So while I would certainly come back, I don't think I would tell you that this is the greatest place around. Probably a notch above your standard fast food chains, but it's also going to be double the price. Also, I would say this is better than 5 Guys, although I've never been too impressed with them.
