Love this place! We had dogs with us so we sat outside and one of the servers brought out water for them, which was really nice. The burgers are delicious and I don't think they're expensive. The beers are really cheap - I had a giant can of Blue Moon and it was $3. The fries are awesome AND better than Five Guys. I'll definitely be back. read more

So I finally got to try this new place in the new Brooklyn Station on Riverside. The place itself is in line with the trending designs, with the inside/outside seating that is unobstructed by doors/windows. I got the one they call "breakfast anytime" or something like that. It has the fried egg and bacon on it. Service was ok, nothing I could say was "outstanding". Food was also "good not great". I will say, try to not look at the pictures of the burgers on the TV menu boards because if you look at the pictures before you get your first burger, you will be very disappointed that the mammoth on the screen is far from the mere shadow of itself that will come on your tray. I had flashbacks to my first "MShack experience"... the buns are about the size of the little Merita Bread buns you get at the grocery store. I wanted to provide positive feedback on the service and food at BurgerFi located in downtown Jacksonville. The service was excellent (Kimberly always greets me with a smile, and often offers the samples of chocolate yogurt). The Burgers & fries are always good and hot, and I especially like the BurgerFi sauce. I've brought others to visit for lunch and it continues to be a regular place for myself and coworkers. Every time we go there - it's an issue with a line full of people and one register open. One time they let our food sit up at the station because "they couldn't find us!" The place isn't that big. Today we waited 20 minutes to get to the register- dining in and they brought our food in bags to the table. The young lady then got two trays for our food as we were dining in. First of all, the place was packed. Lots of business diners, moms & kids and at least 8 of Jacksonville's finest (police officers). The food was really good too... A great burger cooked just right and EXCELLENT onion rings. Seriously, EXCELLENT onion rings. Some of the best I've ever had. Crunchy and they snapped clean - onion and crust - and tasted delicious. But the service was not good. It was very slow and they messed up my burger - "no tomato" means no tomato. And they totally left off my coworker's fries. True we were there at noon, but they had only one person taking orders and 2-3 guys "floating"... Still don't know what they were doing, cuz they weren't delivering food. They also never called my name; I had to go stand in ANOTHER line to pick it up. And by the time I got it back to the table, the "order" line was too backed up to "fix" it. I heard that this was the place for a true wholesome burger. The meat itself is very thin almost wafer like and so if you like more accompaniments in your burger than actual meat than this is the burger for you. I enjoyed the burger but it wasn't satisfying in the way a true burger should be with respect to the thickness of the meat compared to the bun. The Vienna Hot Dog was good and the bun tasted like it had butter on it. The Cry and Fry included three enormous onion rings and a large order of fries. I was excited to go to this burger spot. I was told by a coworker that it was better than M Shack but to my surprise this visit was horrible. When walking in it felt like we were unwanted immediately. When we began to take our order the cashier leaned on the register as she took our order. Then I ordered the urban fries and was asked if I want regular or large so I asked how big is the regular? The cashier replied it's 8 ounces. I don't know about you but I have no idea what 8 ounces equates to in fries so I put my hands up and made a box like shape to try and compare and asked and got no answer. I then pointed to a container behind her and asked is it that size and she says that's a bucket. Instead of just getting the container and showing me she just leaned on the register and started me. And to add to this she seemed to be whispering to me everything she said so it was very hard to hear her. We pay for the food which turned out to be 27 bucks for two burgers fries and one fountain drink. We go over to grab some ketchup and there is only 2 of the condiment cups left. We sit down and wait noticing the guys who were behind us got there food first. We then get our food and trust me this burger was not worth the money. I got the CEO and she got the cheese burger and it sucked. The best part was the fries. After we eat we go to throw our trash out and the trash is overflowing and I have to stuff my trash down into the can just so I don't make a mess. I will never eat at this particular location the service from cashier Johnae was horrible the food was subpar and the overall experience was unpleasant. It took everything for me to tell this girl to stand up straight and speak with your chest but I'm not her manager. Had an issue with the online ordering app, so I called in my order. The guy helped me and was super patient with my outrageous order. I came in after 19 minutes and found four big bags being prepared. Anyways, long story short, turns out my online order actually went in and so I was going home with 12 BurgerFi burgers and 7 orders of the bucket fries. The staff told me to call in and the manager will refund me the amount from online. I called and the manager told the staff to tell me to come back and get the refund. Because of their superior customer service and the way I was welcomed in, I didn't bother going back for the refund. I am one hundred percent happy with this location and I love the food. I was looking forward to going to the new Burgerfi location closer to my house than the one located near the Towncenter, until I walked into a non air conditioned building sprawling with fruit flies and unfriendly employees. I don't mind bad service if the restaurant serves quality food, but I cannot think of a more mediocre meal in my life than the one I just had here. My friend and I walked out shaking our heads at how overpriced and bland the burgers were. I had a double cheeseburger and milk shake (soft serve) that ran around $14 dollars. I can get the same burger for around the same price at Black Sheep, where an actual chef cooks the food, not some jabroni that was brought in from God knows where. Save yourselves the time and gas and do not go here. read more

This is my third time coming to BurgerFi in Riverside. The food is good. The burgers, although a bit small, are delicious and so are the fries/onion rings. The service, however, is horrible. Every. Single. Time. Because the restaurant is new, I expected it the first time. Even the second. Today we arrived for lunch at about 1pm. We received our food at 1:55 p.m., just in time to get in the car and drive back to work. The manager was apologetic, and even gave the people I was with a card for $10 off their next purchase, but that was the same apology that I heard the other two times that I went. Prices seemed a little high, we had two burgers, a fry/onion basket, a shake, and a pumpkin beer for two people, total was $24.00. They pile on the fries, it was more than two people could eat. Burgers were tasty but cold on delivery, and kinda small for the price. A neighboring diner got their smallest fry with a burger and didn't eat half of them. Fries were tasty though, and hot, onion rings were kinda bland, and very thick. There was some weird after taste to our cookies and cream shake, we took it back and exchanged it for a chocolate one, staff was very helpful and friendly on the issue, the shake maker evidently tasted ours and apologized saying she didn't know what that taste was, chocolate one was good. Overall not bad I guess, I just feel that at that price point it should of been better. Store was very nice and patio area was cool, feel no rush to return. read more

Excellent veggie burger, and outdoor seating is nice. Staffing is not so hot. At first I thought it was because the restaurant was new and they were learning. It has improved, but they still have trouble devjating from their script at the counter, tables are not bussed quickly enough, and don't even think about ordering a custard after your meal. This last point is really galling. We have never successfully purchased a custard (6 tries). For awhile, there was a custard line that was supposed to be a quick line so you didn't have to wait for all the people ordering full meals. However, every time we tried it, we were told we had to wait in the long line. Apparently they hadn't read their own sign. Now the sign is gone, so if you don't mind queuing up for 15 minutes (again) after your meal is over, you may get dessert. But lucky us, there were only two people in the big line after our meal. Finally, a custard! Nope. Three people behind the counter, three people in line, and we finally bailed after standing there for 5 minutes, while two people behind the counter stood around doing nothing. read more
