Great service first of all. Good selection of food and beer. The burger I ordered was really delicious and I was able to order it cooked "rare". Some places won't allow you to cook meat that raw so any place that does that is automatically great in my book! I did however think the beer prices were a bit steep. $3.50 for a Budweiser during happy hour? Again service rocks, menu is a great selection. I have only been to Burton's for brunch and it is one of my favorites East of the Cooper. That brunch flatbread tastes so wonderful going down. It is deceivingly filling. The grit cakes are also hearty. There is no need to eat the rest of the day. I also love the loyalty card. Gives me something to work towards. The service is great as well. One other interesting point: I have run into several of my bosses at Burton's. The place is actually filled with all of our bosses. Oh, hello there. Didn't expect to see you until Monday morning. Pretty much my favorite restaurant in Mt. Pleasant, why? Well you can make reservations, seating is good and well spaced, clean and no strange smells, off menu items if you ask. Great wait staff, very good food, awesome desserts. Salmon bronzed is fantastic. Can't wait to go again! read more

Had lunch for 3. 2 burgers and a chicken sandwich with 2 iced teas and a Diet Coke. The bill was $62!! Burtons charges $3.50 for an iced tea and a Diet Coke. The sandwiches were rather high at $15 each but come on man! I'm done. I can go to Sesame Burger and get the same thing for a lot less and much better. read more

We are vacationing at Isle of Palms and found this restaurant through searching for Gluten-free friendly restaurants. The previous reviews on Yelp got us in the door. We were pleasantly surprised. We had been wishing for a gluten-free Calamari and found it at a chain restaurant. Who knew this was possible? I have to admit I'm a bit of a foodie/food snob. My husband had the steak sandwich and raved about it. I had the beet salad and not only was it beautifully presented, the flavors were fabulous. I also had the stuffed zucchini appetizer and was not disappointed. Lastly, service was better than we had at a more upscale restaurant the previous night. We are hoping a Burton's Grill opens in our home of Asheville. We would be regulars!! read more

This place is really nice, we went during lunch and had excellent service. Food is made from scratch so it's not appropriate to compare it to other restaurant chains in that regard. The thing that stood out most to me was the effort level- wait staff was very engaging as was management. We had the chicken wings appetizer, some salads and crab bisque (excellent). We had dinner for a birthday with 5 of us tonight! The night started off with the server kind of forgetting about us. But once we talked to Will, the manager, we were well cared for! This is by far my favorite gluten free friendly fine dining restaurant. I can't wait until they come to Charlotte, NC! First: The food was delicious. I had the Caesar salad with salmon. I also requested the complimentary anchovies and they were really good. My friends and I got the complimentary gluten free rolls, they came with home made garlic butter. Very yummy. Second: I got my own gluten free menu that looked identical to the regular menu but just had different color font. Many restaurants give out a sad looking printout of the gf menu that doesn't include prices or the customer has to wheel and deal with the server to be told what is on the menu that can be made gf. It was so refreshing to not feel like a burden. Third: Service was wonderful. Attention to detail was great. I didn't receive croutons in my salad since I was gf. In so many restaurants my gf request is forgotten in the little details like getting toast on the plate with my bacon and eggs. read more

Terrible service. Our party of 22 showed up at 7 last Tuesday evening. We had made a reservation and they knew we were coming and the size of our group. One plus--our table was ready at 7. Water was brought after about 10 minutes and then drink orders were taken. I never was asked what I wanted to drink and finally had to order a glass of wine with my entree order. Everyone else was asked at least twice before orders were taken. More water was poured. Finally at 7:45 orders were taken. We had two servers which would have been fine, but they each had at least 3 other small (4 to 6 people) tables that they were serving at the same time. It was difficult to get them both serving our table at one time. So when did we receive our entrees? At 8:40--55 minutes after ordering. I realize that it can be a challenge to get 22 meals ready at once, but that is their job and the restaurant was almost empty when we were finally served. And these servers should have been assigned to only our table as it was equivalent to 6 tables. A 55 minute wait is not acceptable. We were vacationing at Isle of Palms and loved the area. Had great food and service everywhere else except Burtons. The food was fine, but the lack of service really spoiled our meal. Please treat your servers and customers better. read more

My girlfriend and I were visiting friends in Charleston, and they took us here for dinner. For our appetizer, we had the risotto fritters and they were delicious. My expectations were already set fairly high due to the price, and the risotto fritters delivered. Unfortunately our dinner didn't live up to the high bar set by our appetizers. Both my girlfriend and I had the Steak Frites. The Frites themselves were fantastic, but the steak left a little bit to be desired. The Chilean sauce on top was good, and the steak was properly cooked, but it was all but flavorless, as if they had just thrown an unseasoned steak on the grill. To top it off, the waitress took my plate before I was finished and didn't even offer me a to go box. All in all, for the price we paid, I believe we could get better food and service elsewhere. I gave 3 stars because the place wasn't a complete waste of time and money, and other than taking my food before I was done, the service was decent. Not amazing, but decent. read more

3 stars, that's it. And it ain't for the food. The location, service, and ambiance of Burtons is why I gave them 3 stars. Still pretty high in my book. As I entered the restaurant I had high expectations being as how upscale it looked but it's another one of those places where you expect one thing and get another. Now if Yelp was only rating for the decor then this place gets 5 stars but unfortunately for Burtons it doesn't. They hit every mark when dining except the food part. And for me that's what it's all about. It you like sushi then the seared ahi tuna will totally disappoint it was seared and probably put in the fridge then served. It was not good. The coleslaw was bland, and sweet potato fries were over cooked. The crab cakes were good along with the mustard sauce it was served with. My dish on the other hand tasted weird. It was not a good combo, there are just some things you can't put feta cheese on people!! I agree with another yelper out there they need a new chef fast! Pleasantly surprised! Half priced wine for happy hour! Our table of six enjoyed the fresh catch risotto, a lobster and shrimp pasta, and the bourbon chicken as entrees. Wow, what a great place and a great meal! We found it by accident... just driving by. It is nicely decorated, nice staff, clean restrooms, and yummy menu options... it was hard to pick! And they are so sensitive to diet restrictions... Gluten free menu, Paleo, etc. I ordered the pan seared salmon from the Paleo menu and omg... The red pepper sauce... So good. A side of rainbow carrots also delicious, very crisp. Our server, Anne, was super friendly and attentive. The manager stopped by and was very professional. Burton's Grill has a wonderful atmosphere and many different food selections for lunch or dinner. The food is all excellent. We are vegan, and were surprised to see many vegetarian options, all fabulous. It's hard to choose. I had the best black bean burger ever, covered with guacamole, lettuce, and tomatoes, and came with a cucumber salad. My husband had the quinoa bowl filled with vegetables, walnuts, and cranberries. We took advantage of their Gluten-sensitive menu and we're so impressed that they really do strive to accommodate all customers needs when it comes to food allergies and restrictions. It was no trouble asking for certain things to be served on the side instead of on the salad or entree. Our lunch was fantastic. We did receive an item that was a bit undercooked. They gladly took it back and prepared an alternate menu item of our choice and didn't charge us for either item! This was a completely unnecessary gesture but it truly demonstrated how important their customers are to them. Big thanks to Keith and Cody for your attentiveness. What a difference a walk across the parking lot can make. My wife and I started at P.F. Changs, which we've always loved. What a disaster, seated right away then 30 minutes with ZERO service. Walked out and across the parking lot to Burton's. Burton's was twice as busy and appeared to have much less staff on hand, which we understand. Yet, we were seated right away and our server was immediately there. We had drinks in under 5 minutes of being seated and our appetizer in under 15 minutes. Meals were at the table in about 25 minutes. What a difference. Of course when I asked to speak to the manager, even saying it wasn't for a bad reason, the look on the face of our server, Bianka, was that look of dispair... assuming the worst I'm sure. Then as the manager, Fernando, approached I could see he had that same look of dispair, just expecting the typical complaining one gets when called to a customer's table. Imagine his delight when I explained I just wanted to compliment his entire staff for being so quick, friendly, and attentive. Both the service and the food were OUTSTANDING! read more

Burton's is a great place for food and drinks. Tonight was a HUGE disappointment. Our waitress was a rock star. However, there was a table full of kids that thought there were at McDonald's. The parents did nothing to contain their children. There were karate moves in the aisle, hide and seek and the like. Total disappointment.
