Beef and pork combo, chicken breast combo, egg rolls and gyoza

Consistently good. We love their combos. Nice menu and great local teriyaki. Pick up or eat in.

My family has been going to Buxx since I was elementary aged. I am now 30 and still continue to eat here with my family now. Last week I called and placed an over the phone, and my food was ready upon my arrival and was still warm by the time I ate at home. Highly recommended! Prices are decent, I'd say they are good for the current economy and you still get lots in your plate. I ordered a chicken katsu plate and a side order of egg rolls and it totaled to $27.18. This provided me a lunch and dinner because there was so much.

Wow better than expected, dining in, the presentation is amazing. The star of this place is definitely the Chicken. The beef while tasty was beef crumbs but the chicken with a large portion. Our dishes came with a vivisected egg roll and 3 gyoza dumplings white rice and a tasty but unappealing salad that was actually yum.

Black burnt bits in food.

Black burnt charcoal bits all throughout my Beef Fried Rice... They can't clean their cooking surfaces?

Thanks to YELP, I've found my "I'm hungry so I will stop here on my way home" teriyaki spot. Buxx is about a 15 minute drive from SeaTac airport, and easy to find. The portions are great and can be split between two people. But, I decided not to share. The food was GREAT! They have quite a huge clientele, so if you come around lunchtime, be prepared to wait. The wait isn't long and it's absolutely worth it. Great customer service as well.

Chicken and Mongolian Beef

Delicious teriyaki! We got a combo plate that was about $20. It was a good portion that had us both full at the end after finishing it. Food came out quickly, and the staff was friendly. The place was empty when we went, but the food was nice and fresh!

I have tried plenty of teriyaki places and this one is one of my favorites! If you're in the area its definitely worth the stop. I got the spicy chicken teriyaki and the flavor was amazing. We called in the food and it was ready by the time we got there. Its a little place that is easy to miss but even though its small don't let that fool you! They have really good teriyaki.

Super combo chicken and beef

This place was in an out of the way strip mall near a gas station. I had a super combo with chicken and beef for about $20. It was about a meal and a half. It was was swimming in teriyaki sauce and they give you extra sauce. Nothing special about the chicken and it didn't have any char even though I think it was grilled. The beef was chewey and not easy to eat. There was an egg roll, gyoza, and salad. I don't live very close so I probably won't be back.

Loads of food and grilled meat is fine for a takeaway joint. Friendly quick service but meat can be less charred. Katsu was alright.

Black Sesame Frappe w/Mochi - Matcha frappaccino with black sesame ice cream and mochi - a flavor combination I have not tried before but it's a great combo. Plenty of indoor seating. A very clean aesthetic with white walls and wooden furniture. We got our soft serve right away and got a buzzer for the Frappe. Highly recommend! I was a little underwhelmed seeing the plain white bread but one bite and I felt this combo was superior. Of course I mainly came for the perfectly picturesque green tea ice cream so I tried a matcha Mochi Parfait. It has House made matcha pudding and syrup, matcha ice cream, vanilla soft serve ice cream, corn flakes, red bean paste, mochi, and whipped cream. I'd never liked red bean in other desserts but together in this parfait it was amazing! 10/10, no notes.

Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to the reputation. The clam chowder was just average. It wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't memorable or deserving of the accolades we had read about. The slice of sourdough bread served with it was extremely dry and tasted stale, which was disappointing given Seattle's reputation for great sourdough. We also ordered the cod fish and chips, and the fish tasted like frozen, pre-breaded cod rather than fresh fish. The coating was crispy; although, the fish did taste fresh. Overall, we left feeling that the restaurant was overrated. We had expected a standout meal based on its reputation, but instead found the food to be average at best. While the service was fine and the line moved efficiently, we wouldn't make a point to return or recommend it as a must-visit dining experience in Seattle.

However I decided to check it out since it's a lot closer to where I live and was craving some sushi. Their selection isn't as big as FOB's but it's still very generous. They all tasted really fresh, and I like how they aren't as enormous and one-note tasting as FOB's. Everything tasted unique! This should do the job to satisfy the sushi cravings :)

This is a sushi by the pound place in SLU, but they also have a menu with variety of things such as udon, inari, chirashi, etc. The selection of fish you can choose from in the weigh your sushi section is not that big. They only have 2 high premium fishes available: otoro and amberjack. However you can only get 1 of each, which to me defeats the purpose. I also got a bulgogi inari and it was $5 / piece which is pricey. Another thing is that they use a lot of rice, too much rice. Service is ok, they ring you up and bring the food to you if you ordered through the menu. It's a very relaxing and chill area as well. The food we got was just ok but for the price, it's not worth it. I'm glad I tried but most likely will not be back.

The other 2 of us were 1st time to any Haidilao. We picked AYCE $36.99, paid extra for Thai soup base for 1/2 pot, the other half was tomato soup base. Hot pot was mediocre 2.5. Fish balls 1 order was way too much that we had to finish them that we almost full to eat anything else, 1 star for fish ball. Tofu 1 order is too much as well, 1 star. We don't like the restaurant tactic to put 1 cheaper food order too much that we had to finish. Beef was good 4 star. Note that leftover food will be penalized. Hotpot food overall is 1.5 star. The appeal of Haidilao is that you can make it as lavish or affordable as you'd like. We went for the affordable route and got the cheaper all you can eat combo for 2. In total (including tip), it was about 100$ for 2. I also don't like the fact that they charge extra for sauce bar, but at least you can get a free dessert! Overall, the meat quality was average, but the soups were very light. We got pork bone and mushroom, and they weren't the most flavorful. I don't want to judge the place too harshly since they have a pretty high upper ceiling, but I'd probably choose a cheaper AYCE place to get more selections and likely a more flavorful soup.
