The 20+ year old electric water heater in my townhouse started emitting a burnt wire smell back in September. The cost is kind of expensive compared to competitors. I know that my drainage pipe is clogged so I got this company to come out and unclogged it. I asked about how much it cost and was given estimated of $115. Unfortunately, I did not know that was the diagnostic fee and not the actual work. They are very responsive though. When the guy came, I told him what I wanted get done and he did it. Unfortunately, there was an additional $230 on top of the $115 diagnostic fee. It came out to a total of $345 to unclog the drainage pipe. I am not too happy about the price but they are very responsive. If I had known this is how much it will cost me then I would have gone with another company. read more

My A/C went down on a hot weekend just a few days after bringing our newborn baby home. After trying to contact multiple HVAC companies, Connor, the owner at CD Shanahan's was the only company responsive to my calls. They came out promptly on a Sunday to assess the issue. It ended up taking a couple of visits, but Brandon the tech, took the time to actually contact Trane, the manufacturer of my A/C to identify a wiring issue that a previous HVAC tech from a different company had done incorrectly and fixed the issue. The same A/C unit ended up having an separate issue a week later and Brandon came out again to do a comprehensive troubleshoot on my Nest thermostat, indoor AC coil unit and then outdoor condenser unit. He ultimately discovered faulty part that he replaced on the spot. Throughout the process, Connor and Brandon were responsive on communication and eager to fix the underlying issues.
