Went in to order a pizza to-go from the bar. It wasn't busy at all, but waited a good 30-45mins for our medium pizza. It was kinda cold when getting home (only a 5-7min drive home) but it was still very good. The bartender did mention there was a new cook. So that might have been the issue. But overall the pizza is good and I would recommend it - dine in if you can. read more

this place is awful. don't come here. awful service. the waitress didn't know what fajitas were. we then ordered and it took forever for the food to come out. the atmosphere was horrendous. The prices on the menu didn't match. ex: A glass of wine was ordered on the menu for 4.50 and it ended up being 6.50. Just an embarrassment of a restaurant. Not to add nobody else was in the restaurant so there was no reason for the service to be horrendous. read more

Funny but I was a bit concerned when I entered because the place looked like a backroom. I know it's mainly a bar, but was hoping for a bit more atmosphere (since my wife and I were only interested in eating). We ordered and the food came out quickly. Very convenient to anyone in Seascape. The food is surprisingly good! The Woody (pizza) is a favorite of mine, but I've not really had a bad meal there. It's totally worth your time to check it out. Just watch out for the turbo charged air vents that blow straight down onto some of the tables. read more

We decided to try this place out on a Friday night for the live music and it was a short walk from our condo. We felt a weird vibe as soon as we walked in the door and the employee (manager, owner?) was rude when we thought we had to wait to be seated. When Moon Crush 2022 could not accomodate everyone's food orders, they decided to allow the guests to bring in their own food. We placed an order at Cabana Cafe in plenty of time for it to be ready before the concert began. When we arrived to pick up our food, there was one bartender serving a bar full of patrons while also trying to get food orders to the people who had placed them. I do not blame her for how long it took to get our food. Obviously, the place was understaffed. But, when we did finally eat our food at the concert, our Caesar Salad and Cheesesteak were excellent. I have never eaten a Cheesesteak with Au Jus (like a French Dip) but is is now my favorite thing in the world. read more

Ok. So I came in with some friends after dinner and this place came recommended. The live music was really great but I felt as though it was the "tinder" crowd of an older generation. A group of people were present and honestly I couldn't tell if we were watching a swingers group in action or whether they were just day drinking followed by night drinking. A great time was had catching up with friends. The atmosphere was cool. This seemed like the place for locals and I will definitely be back. The two person band was the highlight. read more

When you've got the late-night munchies in Destin, there aren't many great selections. Cabana Cafe was perfect. We walked in after 11 p.m., they still had 12 people dining and more in the bar. A casual place that offers live music earlier in the night, Cabana Cafe is a popular spot for beach goers after the sun sets. I was most impressed that I was able to order a grilled mahi dish at that hour and still be able to customize it (no breading on the fish, sweet potato fries instead of mashed potatoes). The house salad was remarkably fresh, couldn't believe how good it tasted with little dressing. Waitresses are fast, attentive and have a great attitude. Little restaurant that is at the bottom of Seascape Condos and resort, no wait for a table for 8 , sat outside near pool deck for dinner. Service was a little slow but the waitress was very good and she was sweet, gave us recommendations so I went with them. Was feelin a beer so had a corona and lime, for dinner I just ordered 2 appetizers. The blazin bangin shrimp and the tuna sashimi. Both came out with a pretty large portion and the food was great. The shrimps was fried perfectly and the sauce was absolutely fire. I would order it 10 more times if I could. I was even dipping my friends fries in it, it was real good. The tuna sashimi was great as well. The tuna wasn't completely raw which is what sashimi is, it was more seared tuna but nonetheless it was really good nice pieces of fish I would 100p order again. read more

My family and I were visiting Destin and decided to go out to have a late night dinner. This place said it was open until 2am so we decided to stop by. Well, we were sat promptly and everything was fine until our food came. The server was very rude and seemed like she did not want to be there or wanted to take care of us considering it was about 10pm. Owning several restaurants in our family for over 20 years, we know how this kind of business runs. Anyways, we didn't want to say anything about the server, maybe she was having a bad night. And although I enjoyed my food, chicken Florentine, I continue to give this business 1 Star. My daughters pasta was cold, they nuked it for her. Ok fine. My nephew ordered the ribeye and ribeyes is the only thing he will order from a restaurant if they have it. Well, he ate some of it when the server stopped by and it was ok at one end and then after a couple minutes later, I asked him if it was good and he said no it tasted burnt. He flips the steak over, and it was completely burnt and not edible. He waited for the server to come back which was about 15 mins, she was terrible. Sent the steak back and the manager came out to tell him that he ate half the steak and said, "NEXT TIME YOU GO TO A RESTAURANT, DON'T EAT IT. But whatever I'll take it off your check." First of all, what kind of restaurant manager talks like that to a guest? Accusing him for asking for a free meal. We would be happy to pay for a $100 steak if it's cooked right. We didn't ask for a free meal because everyone (12people) paid for their food and tipped the crappy waitress 18% because gratuity was added. The manager had a poor attitude. He definitely needs to get some more training if he wants to run a restaurant. I have never had to deal with this kind of behavior before. I don't recommend this place at all. Especially if you are going for a late night dinner when all the cooks and servers are in a bad mood. Also, when we confronted the manager for the poor management at the end, the waitress walks away and said "f**k this, directing at us and in front of her manager!! We also watched a cook eat with gloves on while cooking. Yuck!! read more

So we are in town visiting and looked for a dinner out. The choices nearby were almost too overwhelming. Somehow Cabana Cafe had an above average review rating and the menu was diverse enough to accommodate our dining group. So we tried it. First it is hard to find. No signage for those visiting the Seascape area. Seating was quick and easy. Our waitress, Benita, was attentive and did a fine job. The problem was the food. Kids got Fire-Roasted pizzas. They looked barely done. My wife and I got sandwiches (Cuban & Chipotle Chicken). We did not expect them to simply be cold cut meat. Bread was thin and not what you would expect from a bakery (as claimed by the Cafe). Maybe we should have known better. The food was average at best. Oh well. read more

Got a recommendation from a local to eat here so we wanted to give it a try. We were a party of 8 so we always expect to wait a while but we waited over 1 1/2 hours on our food. We were the only people in the seating area when we first sat down and 3 more tables sat within about 15 min of us.... all larger groups. One table ate and left before we got our food and all the others got their food before us. Some of our food was excellent but about half the meals weren't correct as ordered. Not to mention I preordered ahead of time by calling, I still ended up waiting about 50 minutes. The waitress knew she had messed up by the look on her face and yet she still gave me the food plate. Staying at Seascape for 4 months. I eat there once a week and never been disappointed. They also have good entertainment.

Food was delicious. Main guy was super attentive. They were super busy and under staffed. Didn't have to wait for a table but it took 30 minutes to get 2 waters, a tea and a coke. When food came it was really good. I gave it 4 stars because the food was really delicious and I understand that anywhere you go in the area you will have a wait of some kind. Worst restaurant experience ever! I was looking forward to a great experience at Cabana Café and the opportunity to support a downtown business in Newberry County. However, the excitement abruptly ended once I entered the restaurant. To be time efficient, we made reservations for a large group consisting of 21 people, reviewed the menu and selected lunch choices in advance. I visited the restaurant the day before our scheduled luncheon to confirm the reservation and to take our detailed written lunch orders. On the day of our reservation, our large party was not greeted warmly and was told by the owner (Starr Chappell) that we could not use the written lunch order list to order meals when dining in the restaurant due to how orders are inputted in the system and assigned to seating arrangements. This was not a significant problem and we proceeded to order meals with the owner who was visibly irritated and extremely rude to members in our group. I talked to the owner privately to resolve any issues to no avail. She continued to be rude and unprofessional, and it was evident that she did not value our group as customers, so we left. Based on this experience, the negative reviews referencing the rude, unprofessional attitude of the owner at this restaurant and her other restaurant in Clinton are warranted. read more

Cabanas is an awesome spot for a late-night bite or drink. The crowd is predominantly those who own/rent within the condos, so it's not too much of a hangout for the younger crowd except for when those in the service industry get off work. Their pizza and quesadillas are definitely the best things on the menu. The ranch is homemade and to die for. Seriously, I will probably get congestive heart failure from eating so much of their ranch. The live music is nice when they have it, and everyone - including the staff - is extremely friendly. The only drawback is how crowded it gets. The bar area is pretty small and it can get overwhelming on busy nights. Overall, definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

By far one of the best experiences to be had in the area. I hesitate to write this review because I want to keep this gem to myself, but the staff and the food here are too damn good not to share! Take a minute get off the touristy beaten path and go see Corbin and the crew. If you want some sweet music to go with your meal then be sure to stop by Thursday through Sunday for a very amazing duo that will keep you partying into the night! Food was average. We wanted a restaurant where we could walk off the beach and come in for some easy comfort food. That's exactly what we found, friendly staff and great prices. Super casual. Family friendly. The location threw us for a bit when we had to come into a gated apartment complex in order to park and eat at the restaurant. Cabana Cafe is a decent little spot on the ground floor of a high-rise condo complex. It has a pretty comfortable atmosphere, with a nice, deep mid-sized bar, a few flat screen TVs and a covered patio next to the pool. They have the greatest hits of beer, wine and a full bar and the beer is always cold. The bartenders are cool guys; very laid back and attentive. For a cafe, the food seems to always be just okay. Not bad, but nothing special. I'm pretty easy to please, though, and when I'm drinking I'll eat damned near anything to stop the room from spinning. Overall though, this is an okay place. The background music is bi-polar, ranging from awesome (Chris Isaac) to damnable (Jimmy Buffet), and you'll occasionally have to watch grown-ass people make out like they're in 8th grade sitting in the back row of a movie theater, but I've never had a problem here, and they're open late. read more
