Extremely happy with how the food turned out! I was recommended salmon, by our server, for their signature tacos. Definitely the right move, the chunks being cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Paired well with the light Creme and topped with and cheese/rice/slaw. My only concern with my visit was the lack of hospitality that came from the other FOH employees. While my waiter did an excellent job taking care of us, it felt as if the bartender, hosts, and manager didn't seem like they wanted to be there. All on their phones, maskless and sitting/lingering at the bar top for the duration of my stay. I was pretty disappointed hosts would get up from the bar top, slide their mask up and run to the front stand only when people walked in. I understand we came in close to 8pm on a Sunday (11/15/21), so it was fairly dead inside. Yet, this shouldn't really excuse the rather obvious display of disinterest from the FOH staff. They also have a :aired selection of Margaritas but I didnt indulge in any of them on this trip. The meal sizes are plentiful and the prices are appropriate. I had the shrimp and chicken burrito with a side of plantains. They were both delicious. The plantains seemed to have a bit of sea salt? on them which give the usually sweet dish a unique taste. Went on a Sunday afternoon. The area that Cabo FT is in, is booming on a Sunday afternoon. Of course, this makes parking more difficult but no fault of CFTs. There's a lot about a block away where you can pay to park or try and grab street parking. CFT taco is located on the corner and the establishment is a great size. Plenty of seating, clean and fitting to the name. They have specials just about every day and Sunday was $5 mimosas. My friend and I ordered the Shrimp & Crab dip to share. For my entree, I got the Honey Soy Glazed Salmon tacos with plantains. My girlfriend got the Lemon Grilled Shrimp and the Shrimp Taco special of the day. I stopped by here a couple of Saturdays ago with my wife and both of our parents for lunch. We decided to come to Cabo Fish Tacos because it was close to where we were staying and had a menu that seemed like it could make everyone happy. Whenever we arrived with our party of 6, we were immediately seated which I was both happy and impressed with. That's because the inside of this place is a whole lot bigger than what it looks like from the street. We were sat in a front room type area which I guess is normally open to the street. Since it was cold out though they had some plastic coverings which weren't doing the best job of blocking it. Other than that I noticed the art which was pretty cool and they had a giant painting which was made of blocks. While the front had to be uniform with the painting, they could paint whatever they wanted on the top as long as it followed the color pattern layer out to them. For lunch on this day I decided to go with one of the Cabo signature tacos and choose the grilled lemon ahi tuna as my protein. The menu described the tacos as two flour tortillas stuffed with cabbage, tomato, guacamole, cheese and finished with their cilantro white sauce. It came with a side too and I chose the mexislaw jalepeno cheddar mashers for that. While we were waiting for our meals some complimentary chips and salsa came to the table. The chips themselves weren't that interesting but the salsa had a nice little heat on the finish. Whenever we got our food I tried the tacos first and they ended up being pretty good. I really got the lemon flavor off of the ahi and the rest of the fillings helped with the flavor. My only complaint is that I wish I would have been able to taste more of the guac. Then the side of mashers were quite good as there was an ample amount of cheese on them and I stirred in the pile of jalepenos to give them a little bit of heat. After I witnessed a stunning defeat of the Pantherns by the Redskins, my friends and I popped into Cabo Fish Taco. We were seated immediately even though we had a fairly large group (about 10 people). As an appetizer, we ordered a couple queso dips for the table. It was tastier than your average queso dip and was demolished pretty quickly. For my entree I ordered the lemon garlic grilled shrimp taco with the avocado pasta salad. This is a new favorite for me! This was my second time at this location and everything was so tasty! I tried the taco of the day which was the crispy snapper and this was probably the best decision. The taco was phenomenal! I also tried a fan fave (my friends rather) which was the honey soy glazed salmon tacos, accompanied with the avocado pasta salad (I later swapped this out for plantains). If you try the honey soy glazed salmon tacos and aren't the biggest fan of wasabi, ask for it on the side because it is sure to kick you right in the nose. The avocado pasta salad was my least favorite; very low on flavor (the server even suggested to add some salt) so I asked for plantains instead. My overall experience was great! We went to Cabo Fish Taco on 11-28-23 and my friend and I ordered the steak Fajitas platter - when they came out they were served on a plastic dish and no sizzle-just a little warm. They were the worst steak fajitas we have ever had - they basically scooped what they serve in the tacos and just put it on a plate. They were just little chunks of steak. The mahi was ok, it had a weird flavor and maybe were cut too big for a taco. The soy ginger shrimp was good. It had good flavor and would have tasted good with some steamed rice. I really enjoyed both items and thought they were worth the price. I also had the Azulita Rita with sugar rim and thought it was a great drink choice. Since I'm not a fan of fish and think that tacos are overpriced unless they are a $1 special I quickly overlooked the taco options. However the only reason I was here this visit was because an out of town friend is in love with the BBQ Mahi taco. I tasted the fish and it was good but not anything to write home about. I'm writing this before I even get my check, okay. This was my first time here and I have always heard great reviews about this place. They definitely live up to them. There are a variety of taco, wrap, and burrito options. Their portions match up with their pricing which is always a plus. I enjoyed the Soy Honey Glazed Salmon Tacos with black beans and rice. Delicious. I also shared a Nectar Of the Gods margarita which is probably one of my favorite mixes I've had in a while. The salsa with the chips wasn't my favorite but it's not terrible also. Chips are standard fare but crunchy so close enough (because it's not Cabo Chips.) corn salsa has a little bit of "howdy!" and I like it okay even though it tends to fall off the chips. Fish tacos were delightful and well mannered alongside the beans and rices; a fine example of peaceful coexistence in troublesome times. Can't really complain about crispy breaded whitefish chunks and all that vegetative stuff with a decorative swoosh of sauceage: just fishy enough to know it used to was a fish not a chicken.
