My pregnant self was craving cafe zupas! I had them deliver it to my house since I've been so lazy to drive lately. I had their pesto chicken sandwich with strawberry harvest salad. When I got my salad I noticed the strawberry on the salad was dirty. I didn't want to eat that so I just threw my salad away .. made me feel sick when I seen it.. ahh makes me wonder if they ever wash their fruits and veggies. The pesto chicken sandwich was good. Wow! Amazing customer service. I made a mistake on my order for delivery. We could not figure out how to add the bowl I failed to include on my order. Matthew was so helpful. This was in no way their fault at all, but he added the bowl into my order free of charge. I was not expecting them to do anything as this was totally my fault! Queen creek location has been excellent - always super nice, food is good and quick service

Did a curbside order pickup and they were already 5 minutes late. A guy walks out and says there are out of tomato basil. Okay, annoying but not their fault. He asks what I want instead and I tell him lobster bisque. I proceed to ask if he could give me a large soup for the inconvenience. He said he would ask. So another 5 minutes later, another guy walks out and bring me my food. He proceeds to tell me he couldn't upgrade the soup because he would have to charge me extra. I continued to say it was an inconvenience for them to be out of tomato basil. He does not budge. He would rather save $1 on soup than make his customer base happy I will purposely avoid this store now because of this stingy attitude from them. Nice work guys! Glad you saved a dollar!! read more

Can a manager please for the love of God respond to this. My wife and I occasionally pickup dinner from this location, and in the past several years are about 50% on whether or not we'll get what we actually ordered online. Missing dressing, wrong toppings, no strawberry, no cheese, and tonight I got an awesome crab sandwich with no crab. When my wife went to pickup the food the girl at the counter (after making my wife wait 10 minutes) says to her "we're out of crab, can I make you a different sandwich"? My wife said "sure, how about pesto chicken"? They then go ahead and make a crab sandwich with ZERO crab! Like this has got to be a joke. Does anyone else ever get what they order when they go here.l? We're total idiots because we continue to go here. I can't for the love of God explain why we do, but we do. My wife works until 8 most nights and everything closes early, and we jokingly say "wonder what they'll get wrong tonight", literally every time we go here. Other locations are better, but this one gets worse every time we go. Please, let me know how I can help you get better. We'd love to continue trying to eat here but it's literally unbearable. And as I write this my wife just informed me there's no meat on her salad and they have her the extra cheese she paid for....... but it's the wrong kind of cheese. I have to start by saying we usually really enjoy the food here. But on this visit the service and the food was terrible. My granddaughter and I both ordered the pick two with sandwiches and soup. After we ordered the sandwiches, the soup was piping hot when it was poured into our bowls. We then stood around for an exorbitant length of time waiting for someone to ring us up. As we waited more bowls of soup and sandwiches were randomly placed on the counter so when we actually had someone willing to ring us up, no one can figure out which one of the 10 sandwiches on the counter were ours. They were able to identify my granddaughters, but I had to remake mine as I couldn't pick it from the other nine. By the time we made it to the table, the soup was warm at best, and the staff didn't seem to care how long people are standing around waiting to get there ever a colder food. No one was rude, but no one seem to have the slightest understanding of the term urgency. Cell phones were out and people standing around while many customers food were getting cold on the counter. On top of it all, the restaurant was filthy. read more

I ordered the vegetarian with the strawberry salad. My sandwich tasted really good but it was crazy how little they put inside it! I opted for no tofu but honestly, despite have no tofu you would think they would put enough of the other ingredients to make a real sandwich. This is my gripe with Cafe Zupas, all I ask is that I get what I pay for. I literally was still hungry after eating my 2 pieces of bread with cheese, slice of avocado, tomato and lettuce. They make it fresh right in front of you and the gentleman making my salad and the cashier were both super friendly, which I always appreciate. Zupas have been one of my favorite places to eat for years but because I've been coming here for years I've seen a decline in their quality, portions and speed. And an incline in their prices. I just left after standing in line for 10 minutes not moving but watching the staff fulfill countless online orders... maybe prioritize the people who are there to eat and enjoy the establishment and have a separate team to primarily take care of online orders? Instead we stand there unhelped along with the rest of the line in front of me while online orders are fulfilled and stacked along the register. I spend $35 for just my husband and every time we go for our lunches the foods taste is different and portions are inconsistent. First time in a Zupas. I had a two for with MangoBerry salad and an Italian Sandwich hot! Both were very good. Loved the sandwich. The salad tasted good but I'm a picky fresh lettuce person so I could have done without a few dead pieces. Probably hard to control. Nice touch with a bread roll and a chocolate dipped Strawberry! The service was great and very friendly! The only reason for one less star is because the table bench seat ledges are filled with crumbs. More attention should be paid to cleaning everywhere. We've been back here several times the food is good tasty and reasonably priced. I like that you can see people preparing your food in front of you and you can see the quality and cleanliness or lack of cleanliness. Here is your people are working to prep your meal. I typically find people conscientiously trying to keep the food prep area clean depending on the restaurant I go to sometime from the Customer side of the counter, things look, pretty sloppy, messy, drippy. Need attention. but that's usually not the case. I really like the strawberry chicken salad. read more

Do not order with them via Uber Eats as each experience is horrible. I hate this place given their lack of execution on orders. Salad arrived with about a cup and maybe half of greens, 3 halves grape tomatoes, half an egg, maybe a tablespoon of edamame, 5 slices of cucumber, and small container of watered down ranch dressing they charge $10 for this salad and $27 including delivery. It was about the size of a side salad. I could have gone to salad go and gotten twice as much for their cob salad for $7. Our order was delivered by door dash , which was 40 minutes late, by the way. When it arrived, my salads were warm, and my extra chocolate strawberries were melted! I spoke to cafe zupas and they told me to take it up with door dash. I don't have an account with door dash, So they can't give me a credit of any kind. Door dash told me to tell cafe zupas to call door dash helpline to get compensation , and then giving me some type of compensation. I didn't bother. It's enough that I will not want to order from them again. Good food, just super small portions for the price they charge. Plus late when having the order ready for pick up. The chicken tortilla soup is low calorie (110 cal /half bowl) and big flavor .. just slightly spicy.. the pumpkin chorizo was the seasonal soup.. it was delish (they let you sample if you're not sure what to have) but I wasn't sure it wasn't made with dairy it was that creamy.. The strawberry harvest salad (390 cal/ half bowl) loaded with chicken, apple, dried cranberries, strawberries & candies pecans.. was crunchy, fresh and flavorful!!
