Matcha pandan latte and the churrochi peeking on the side
    Jessica W.

I stumbled upon this place during their grand opening but I had my dog with me so it wasn't worth waiting around for. That was two months ago! Today I had to wait a bit for the rest of my party and was glad to see a steady constant flow of business. I think there were 3 employees working so orders were coming out in a timely manner. They were also so pretty and nice and patient. Their milk teas all have fun names but their menu offers no description of what the item is, which means the employees spent a lot of repetitive time answering questions. I got a pandan matcha with almond milk (which I don't recommend. I think it really needed the sugar of a whole fat milk) but they also had soy and oat options at no extra charge. My family got the oreo thai milkshake (delicious) and two halo halos. The portions on those were huge! They do offer a mini size too, but for the price its probably worth it to just get the regular and share with someone. This is a more palatable Americanized halo halo with fruit jellies, boba, corn flakes, and ice cream toppings and no beans nor fruit. We also got a churrochi which was like a sweet mochi pancake pressed in a panini maker and tossed with cinnamon sugar and caramel drizzle. It was sooo good. Served hot and we added a scoop of ice cream on the side. Crunchy outsides and soft chewy insides. The venue also offers ample seating and each table has a surge protector AND 4 USB charging ports. Their wall art says to "stay awhile" and they make the space really comfortable to do just that. Theres also plenty of parking as it's a huge lot and many of the neighboring businesses close early.

Such a treat, post dinner and any time! Everything my family and I tried was delicious and I love that nothing was too sweet. My favorites were the Jasmine calamansi drink and the halo halo, as it reminds me of the Vietnamese Che dessert. Kind staff here and love the modern vibes of this cafe. Coming back for the halo halo again next time!

This place is really slow but you know what? Quality here is quite good. We know cafe 86 is all about ube. Ube cupcake, ube truffles, ube cheesecake and more. But we were here for drinks. Other type of drinks. We had milo milk tea (not our favorite, their calamansi juice, hibiscus calamansi, ube matcha latte (ok we had to order one). We went opening weekend and it was good seeing locals supporting the business. Inside seating is a little limited. A couch, some chairs, few tables. I don't think it sits more than 20. The bathroom is clean. Oh we did get a ube cupcake. Definitely fresh but a tad small. It was good But not delicious. Overall a great place for drinks, unwind and support local. Better buzz is also in the same plaza so definitely options.

I love Café 86! And now that it's in Orange County it's going to be super dangerous for me to control myself. I went there around 6-7 on a Sunday and there wasn't a lot of people. I think they were close to closing. They're located in the corner of the same complex as Better Buzz. The inside was super cute and clean. And the workers were very nice. You can order with them or at the kiosk. I went there for their Ube cupcake with flan on top but they ran out!!! Hence the 4 stars. Instead I ordered the Milo Cupcake. Which was tasty and moist. It was about $5. To drink I got their calamasi Jasmine tea 1/2 sweet and it was so good! I love my teas strong and this one had a strong Jasmine flavor with a hint of calamasi. I'd definitely order this one again. Lastly, we got their ube poptart. It was bland and I didn't like their shortcake texture like dessert. I wouldn't order this one again. I'd come here again and again. It looks like a great place to hang out as well.

Review 14/365 Day Challenge Super duper estatic is an understatement when i found out a Cafe 86 coming into my neighboring town! Not even a mile away! This is gonna be so so dangerous especially when i crave for my Halo Halo Fix and Ube desserts. They are hosting their Grand Opening celebration this weekend 1.24-23 w some cool freebies for the 1st guest in line and throughout the weekend, get a bounce back free drink coupon to return. I love coming here for their upside down Halo Halo. It's so refreshing and yummy. What we Ordered ~ Upside down halo halo $ 10.95 is the best shake drink dessert. Not overly sweet and filled w lots of jello, palm dessert and has Ube ice cream in the dessert. Love this Filipino dessert indeed. It's a must every time i visit Cafe 86. ~ Ube Bread Pudding is yummy, surprisingly light ~ Calamansi juice/tea is refreshing ~ House milk tea is good. Like traditional milk tea ~ The Mermaid Drink consist of jasmine green tea w Cold foam topped & sprinkled matcha powder. Definitely recommended Service was great and friendly. Got our items in a timely manner for the chaos of the GO celebration. It was packed! During us waiting in line for the Grand Opening the associates were offering small water bottles to their guests waiting in the long line. Also giving samples of the Ube crinkle cookies. Dj was spinning awesome jams. Playing recent jams along w throwing it back. The 1st 140 guest gets a free tote and a free drink voucher along w a bounce back drink voucher on future visit. They had raffling that will be drawn last day of the grand opening celebration for cool giveaways. I've been a long time fan of Cafe 86! Use to drive to Chino Hills or Cerritos for them. The last one i visited was in Tustin District. The owner Becca & Earl is really sweet. Husband and wife. Met them when I returned back a few times during the week. Becca took the time to say "Hi" to the guests and greet us. This location is in the Rose Imperial plaza where Chuck E Cheese is at and Better buzz coffee a few doors down from Paul's Country kitchen. Towards the back. Parking is good with a big lot.

I love me some Ube and supporting Asian-owned stores. I am so grateful I don't have to drive far anymore to Cafe 86. It's a small space but they have ~4 tables with some usb/outlets on them if you want to do some work there. Location? tucked in a corner where Better Buzzed is. Parking isn't crazy bad because there's not a lot of restaurants in that plaza. Drinks - Their peach mango tea was actually really good and you can definitely taste the flavors and not have that overly sweet flavor to it. Desserts - they sold out half of their desserts but I would love to try their Ube tres leches next time. Their Ube cupcake with flan was still a great choice though and was moist. I LOVE their upside down halo-halo. Service - they were busy but quick. Their workers were all working hard to make everyone's orders. Janna at the front was so sweet and very personable even when she was so busy with so many customers. The team seemed like they were all working well together for only being opened not too long. 10/10 will come back again to try their entire menu lol

So glad there's finally a Cafe 86 near home. My favorite is the Calamansi iced tea, but they have ube pastries that are a must try too! It's a great spot for a refresher and snacks especially for this upcoming summer days. This location is so cute and clean.

Literally every week I'm here. Consistently amazing. Highly recommend the jasmine calamansi cooler and ube tres leches. The owners are so kind and welcoming.

Arrived 10 minutes after they opened on a Friday. Pretty sure I was the first customer of the day, so the staff took my order and got me my drinks in less than 3 minutes. Appreciated the service and drinks were good (got Thai iced tea and The Mermaid/Jasmine milk tea) Will come again

Cafe 86 - Placentia CA - Upside Down Halo Halo Magic So delicious! Can we just take a moment for the flan on top of the ube cupcake? Because WOW. Ube Leche Flan Cupcake - The bottom is soft, fluffy ube cake. The top? Silky, creamy, caramel-kissed flan that literally melts in your mouth. And when you take one bite with both layers together... it's rich but not heavy, sweet but perfectly balanced. It's the kind of dessert where you pause mid-bite and go, "Okay wait... this is REALLY good." Pair it with: Ube Pop Tart - flaky and creamy perfection Ube crack cheesecake - creamy and delicious Place is clean and cozy, and very nice to hangout with family and friends. I'll definitely come back again!

    Pastrami sandwich

Decor is interesting with a handful of labubu here and there. The tables and couch are designed for customers to stay since there are charging hubs. Water, utensils, napkins are self serve up at the front. Came here for lunch since I work nearby. They list just three sandwiches: grilled cheese, pastrami, and pesto. This place is mainly for desserts and drinks. It does takes some time for the sandwiches to be ready, but for its price and portion size for the area, it is great. My sandwich was hot and came with a lot of wavy kettle chips. Would be nice if the hours opened earlier than 12pm.

My husband and I ordered one drink each. Took over 45 minutes to get the drink and one of the drinks ended up wrong. Horrible experience.

We've been back about half a dozen times in the past month, which says everything. The flavors are delicious and nostalgic. The Big Daddy reminds me of eating a Big Stick ice cream as a kid, and Da Bomb tastes just like a Bomb Pop. They have tons of Italian ice flavors to choose from, plus creamy vanilla and chocolate custard that takes everything over the top. On our first visit, Angelica was amazing. She was so friendly, let us sample several flavors, and even shared some of her personal favorites. That kind of service makes you want to come back. It's a small spot with limited outdoor seating, but honestly, it's just as good sitting in your car enjoying your treat. They also have a stamp card and even offer catering. My only complaint? They close at 9 PM. I'd gladly support this place even later into the night. Do yourself a favor and check out Mustache Mike's... but maybe only tell your close friends.

Amazing bakery in the Fullerton area! Everything I had here was good and delicious…read more There were so many unique and pretty pastries to choose from from cakes to croissants. I got so many pastries. There were no misses. My favorite of the bunch was the blueberry cake. The cake wasn't too sweet, was moist, fluffy, and tasty. I enjoyed the matcha cheesecake, garlic sea salt bread, and raspberry cruffin as well. I also grabbed an egg bacon bread and regular sea salt bread to-go for future breakfasts. Warmed up, these were great in the morning! To drink I had the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte which was not too sweet and yummy! Good matcha flavor and the banana pudding was creamy. Mixed together, it was good. I also enjoyed the crunchy bits in there as well as the real banana slices. I got it at the small size, but the portion was generous. It went well with the pastries. There's some inside seating and tables as well as a bathroom available. There is lots of free parking around the bakery. I went in the afternoon on a Sunday and it was still packed! I love how the bakers were constantly baking even in the afternoon, so they brought out fresh batches of their pastries. The chocolate ganache cake was not really my cup of tea, but I think that's my own personal preference. It was bitter, which I know ganache can be sometimes. I do want to try their pastries, but was disappointed with the few items I got sadly.
