My friend and I had breakfast here as it was right around the corner from the hotel we stayed at. Arrived a little after 9am and it was very popular, but our wait was quoted 15 minutes and that was a true time. We were brought to our table by the owner or manager but he was very nice and chatted as we were being seated. For such a busy place the kitchen had an amazing flow and the food was being brought out quick and efficiently. We both had the iced Bonjour latte, then I ordered the keto omelette while my friend ordered the shakshuka and we split a Nutella croissant. Everything was delicious and fresh. The pastry was buttery and soft, my omelette came with a small side salad and house dressing that paired very well with the rest of the meal. We were in and out pretty quick but was still able to relax and enjoy the meal without feeling rushed. Stop by if you are in the area! read more

The food was delicious. We went here for breakfast. My husband got the mediterranean chicken crêpe. He definitely enjoyed it. The crêpe was large in size and flavorful with their chipotle sauce. Went here for breakfast. There seemed to be a small line even though we were quite early, however was lucky enough to get seated right away. The shakshouka is definitely a must try, well balanced flavor. The salmon taritine also was very good, a little salty. read more

Cafe Bonjour has a lively, bustling atmosphere with an open kitchen that adds to the charm. I went with the steak and eggs, while my girlfriend ordered the Mediterranean omelette. The standout for both of us were the potatoes since crispy and very well-seasoned. My girlfriend really enjoyed her omelette, especially the tangy and creamy touch from the feta cheese. I got the steak and eggs. The steak was sweet, perhaps seasoned with a teriyaki sauce or sweet soy sauce. I ordered my steak medium rare, but it came slightly underdone to my liking. It was still very good, but would probably order the steak medium next time. Overall a solid brunch spot with some standout sides. read more

This place is a must! In a convenient location for a lot of downtown offices, with several other restaurants nearby in case you can't get a table. Came around noon on a weekday for a work lunch, and got the bonjour omelet (wasn't able to take a picture). The potatoes were crispy and well-seasoned, and I loved the sauce that come with my plate. The omelet was cheesy, savory, and paired nicely with the side salad and bread. You get a filling meal for the price, and I was surprised at how fast our food came out. This is a small (cozy) place with indoor and outdoor seating, and despite being super busy, it was still quiet enough to be able to have a conversation. Shoutout to the owner as well! He was friendly, and even remembered us from the last time. Our interaction with him made this meal extra special, and I will definitely be back! read more

A great spot for breakfast in the Theater District. We were fortunate to get seats before a long queue formed outside. We had the Bonjour Burger and Shakshuka, both of which were delicious. I have been here multiple times after class and the staff is always super friendly with fast service. They accommodate small groups and groups of two. I ordered Benedict eggs supposedly with asparagus (couldn't find them) and it dis not come with the Canadian bacon. So this are just eggs in a Thomas muffin with some tomatoes on top. My husband ordered the Shashuka.... Just eggs in a tomato sauce with a sprinkle of feta cheese and scallions. Coffee was blah but the croissant were good. Small portions big price. My friend searched for "best brunch in Boston" and this place came up! It did not disappoint. We arrived around 8:30 am cause they don't take reservations. We didn't wait very long but they did require all of us to be there in order to be sat. They sat us at a 3 seater high top table close to the door, which was nice cause every time it opened, I felt a good breeze. Water was brought over right away and our sever came quickly to take our order. There were so many things to choose from we needed a minute and he was patient with us. We ordered - coffee - fresh squeezed OJ - almond croissant and regular croissant - plant-based b-fast sammy - crepes - side of ham and breakfast potatoes I had the almond croissant, ham, and bfast potatoes. It is a Sunday and we were surprised at the number of coffee shops that don't open until 9am! We stumbled upon this location as one of the only open coffee shops. It is a sit down cafe, though you can also place to go orders with the staff at the front. We ordered 5 coffees, two teas, and a handful of pastries to sample. The staff were very helpful and kind. We also spoke with one of the owners who was so charismatic and engaging. Almond croissant has a lovely almond flavor. The plain croissant was SO flaky and light. The blueberry muffin was delicious (perfect sweetness, moist, spongey) and the banana nut muffin is more dense for my liking but has excellent flavor (more like banana bread). read more

The food was amazing. I had the French toast and it was properly done with the right amount of syrup, and it had fruit on top and whip cream - excellent start to my day. My colleague had the Lox crepe and he said it was very good. The only thing neither of us liked was the waiter - either he was having a bad morning, was disinterested in serving us, was new or something else. We could barely hear him, was talking in a whisper, brought us coffee but no milk or sugar until we asked for it, and was not friendly to us or recommend us anything. The two young ladies at the table next to us received a more happier demeanor (same waiter). Everyone else at the cafe was pleasant and the hostess outside was very friendly. read more

Came to Cafe Bonjour on a cold Sunday this February, and man did it hit the spot! There was a bit of a wait though by the time we got there around 11 am-ish, so do expect to wait on the weekends. There is also no indoor waiting area; however, there are a couple of heating lamps outside, so it wasn't too bad. Host was pretty attentive, and made sure to call out name at least 2-3x so that he doesn't miss your group. When my cousin and I finally got seated, we were really surprised by how efficient their serving staff was. They really didn't leave much idle time in between, but oddly enough, we didn't feel rushed at all. My cousin ended up ordering the French toast with salmon on the side, while I ended up with the eggs benedict. Both were so good! Flavorful and filling. We were able to go about our day without feeling sluggish but full enough to not feel like we were starving until dinner time. read more

Would definitely go back with less shock when I turn the corner and see the line. However the wait was not super long. They have a few outside eating tables-like 3!! This place is a gem. I'm so glad my friend & got got brunch here. Everything that I ate was delicious and you can tell that they buy ingredients of high quality. The staff & the owner are very friendly which only made our experience even better :) Their smoked salmon tartine (I asked for no bread) was very tasty & portioned just right. I didn't order the crepe, my friend did (but of course I had to try a bite!) and we definitely recommend the crepe - probably the best crepe I've eaten so far! They happened to be located right beneath the hotel we were staying at (The Godfrey) so we opted to give them a try! This was likely one of the best breakfast experiences I've had out in a while! I went with the HOUSE OMELET: Baby spinach, sauteed mushrooms & swiss (I added ham) served with toast, Bonjour breakfast potatoes and lightly dressed greens! Wow! So, so good! Yes. If you're reading this go visit right now. Yes do it! Cute little shop with friendly staff and incredible food. We had the following: Chai Tea Latte: first how they got it to look like that incredible. Taste is amazing! Was not so sweet and you taste the spice. They do have milk alternatives which is a plus. Eggs Norwegian: Pure perfection. The best eggs Benedict with lox. It comes with home fries and a salad with a dressing they make and it's amazing. There is an orange sauce they put on the plate that has a great balance of spice. Scramble Sandwich: nice and warm baguette with scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon & avocado on top. Also comes with home fries, salad & orange sauce. My husband gobbled up that sandwich without sharing so you know he was hungry or didn't want to share lol. The service was snappy and the owner was an absolute delight. Overall, great vibes. Our food came out - I ordered a burger, and the others had a signature scramble and eggs benedict. Off the bat, the potatoes bonjour are to DIE FOR. Seasoned to perfection and topped with their special sauce which packs a great kick. Then I dived into my burger, which was cooked to perfection and tasted like what heaven melting on your mouth would taste like, if you know, that was possible. Words do not to it justice - I like to think of myself as a burger connoisseur, having tried burgers all over America, but this one definitely is high on my list; something indeed very surprising for a primarily French restaurant. The other guests at my table raved about how amazing their dishes were. The eggs were light, fluffy, perfectly seasoned and quite obviously fresh. It was clear to me now that this restaurant is one to come back to. The owner chatted with me about many things, and as we were sitting outside we could see that he was charming and delightful equally to every guest - not to mention he speaks almost 4 different languages (correct me if I'm wrong)!!! I was so amazed at the outstanding service despite the crowd and long wait times. We went on an early Sunday afternoon for brunch and were told the wait would be 30+ minutes. I have two little girls and they were very hungry and hearing the wait time made me nervous. I asked (I'm assuming the owner) if I could order a pastry or something to hold the kids over until we could be seated. He got me a Nutella croissant and my girls were happy! I asked him to add it to our bill after we ate and he told me not to worry about it as he also has young kids and understands completely. I will never forget this gesture. It came with açai blended with almond milk, banana, strawberries, blueberries, and granola. Real good and plentiful even for the small size. Third visit: just ordered a bagel with vegan cream cheese that had tomato in it, and added some spinach on top ($5.50 total). Very generous spinach portion (for $0.50!), well-toasted bagel, and an appropriate amount of cream cheese. Very tasty. The coffee came out in about 7 mins and the main meal took about 25 mins. The hollandaise sauce was absolutely delicious. Eggs were cooked perfectly and were dippy when open. The smoked salmon went well with the overall dish. Potatoes were crispy and seasoned well, and the salad was light. After the meal I felt full without being to bloated. We loved the meal so much that I decided to make a reservation for when my mom comes into town so I can share the experience. 10 out of 10, can't wait to go back! Update: Came back, found out they are no longer BYOB and apparently under new ownership? So confusing!! We were there so recently, the sudden change was a shock to us. Nobody was dining when we showed up the second time, and the vibe was kind of bland so we ended up leaving and going elsewhere. Not sure if the food is the same quality as before, but hopefully it is. Probably won't be back very soon as the byob was part of the fun for us. Really enjoyed being able to bring my favorite wine the first time.

If you sit by the window, you have direct access to the amazing people watching in North End. Ambience is casual but classy. Food was 5/5 for us. Mascarpone pancakes were so fluffy and not overly sweet. 4- which were perfect for sharing. Shakshouka was savory and nonspicy. Zucchini pancakes wjth salmon were the perfect savory brunch dish to represent the establishment! Will be hard to try other things on the large menu given how great these 3 were! Will def be back.

I was a little sad they didn't have cream cheese to dip it in. I got an iced coffee that time with hazelnut flavor. This sandwich can be shared between two people or one person if you're feeling really hungry. -traditional shakshuka (eggs poached in a tomato sauce with chili, bell peppers, and onions with spices, feta, and challah bread); the dish was good but I found it a bit lacking in flavor, the tomato sauce was very overwhelming and it was a bit bland. I'm glad we got to try it though as I've never had shakshuka before -pineapple passionfruit matcha bombe (matcha and white chocolate mousse with a pineapple-passion fruit compote, served in a matcha cake); this dessert was so good I ordered it both times I visited. It's so soft and flavorful while combining sweetness with just the right amount of tartness. Highly recommend ordering this to try it -passionfruit krembo (passionfruit curd served with vanilla meringue on top and passionfruit flavored chocolate); I was not as impressed with this one after the bombe just because it was an interesting texture with the meringue being a bit chewy and the biscuit layer on the bottom a bit tough to dig into, but I did love the passionfruit flavor For drinks, I ordered the iced Pistachio latte (good but a bit chunky with the chopped pistachios), and the Iced white peach and mint cooler (very refreshing).
