Cafe Da Lat is not to be missed! All the food I've tried is delicious -- fresh, fresh, fresh and so tasty. Pho is wonderful -- I had #B2 tonight -- and my husband's #F1 was beef, shrimp, chicken, pork, rice noodles and a variety of bright vegetables. Very generous portions. Love the friendly wait staff and the ambience of soft lighting. Prices are very reasonable; Albuquerque's very best value. Try the spring roll appetizer, too ... delish! read more

My favorite place for pho in town. Their spring rolls are large and awesome (they'd be even more awesome if they had mint instead of cilantro). I had the rare and well-done beef phoand an order of spring rolls tonight. Their broth is so good. I've made pho before (and it was damn good), so I know what goes in it, but I have no idea what the extra special something is that Cafe da Lat puts in their broth. It blows every other place's out of the water. It must be love that they put in it. Pure, unadulterated love. The plate of bean sprouts, Thai basil, cilantro, jalapenos, and limes were fresh, crisp, and dripping wet (just rinsed). Some day I'll try something else. Or not. Pho is the perfect meal. Especially from here. And yea for leftovers! That makes my workday tomorrow just a little bit better. read more

Albuquerque is not a hotbed for Vietnamese culture or cuisine. But with that being said, this is hands down the best Vietnamese restaurant in Albuquerque. Have been a fan for a few years. Recently, when ordering a shrimp dish, have found the shrimp to be not only smaller but less tasteful. The shrimp used to be not only larger but plump and juicy. I love the spring rolls and the Ginger Chicken Pho but please bring the large plump juicy shrimp back! read more

I came here because of the yelp reviews and was craving good Vietnamese food. The ambiance of this place is nice and the menu has great variety. I had the pho and avocado shake. I see what people meant when they said the broth is a little different than other pho restaurants. It's not as fragrant? I didn't think it was bad though, just different. Best Vietnamese in Albuquerque. There are quite a few choices for a town our size, but Da Lat is the best mix of authentic Vietnamese in a nice environment that's not overly greasy. I eat here at least every other week. read more

I wanted to like this place, I really did. But it's just ok. The pho broth is a little weak (not richly flavored or with a lot of body), the spring rolls usually taste pre-made (cold, hard, chewy wrappers), and the egg rolls are usually noticeably underseasoned. On the plus side, the chicken salad is excellent,heavy on the chicken and made with a bright, tangy dressing and tons of lightly pickled cucumber and carrots than make it a light, tasty, but satisfying dish. The service is prompt and friendly, the decor is inviting, and there's plenty of parking. Definitely not your worst option for Vietnamese, but not my first choice. read more

I have a strong adoration for Cafe Da Lat. The wait staff is very nice, attentive, and courteous. The food is great there, my favorite is the eggplant and pork. The atmosphere is quaint and it is a bit dark but it kind of sets a peaceful mood. I've also had their pho bowl and well it's kind of like a dish that you hope someone can't mess up. It's awesome too! I always feel awesome after leaving Cafe Da Lat. I highly recommend going there for Vietnamese food! read more

When my favorite Vietnamese restaurant is closed, I'll come here. Or maybe when I'm craving a tasty noodle dish. Warm, inviting atmosphere. Good service. Food with flavor. The spring rolls were good, but I prefer a peanut sauce instead of the chili oil - so Saigon Far East still has the best in town in my book. My tofu/noodle dish was very tasty. And my bf enjoyed his rice/beef dish. So we had happy bellies and enjoyed leftovers the following day. We'll definitely return. read more

Really not happy with the quality of the food here. The atmosphere was nice, but the quality of the meat in both the Pho and the vermicelli dish I tried were subpar. The other ingredients looked old and unappetizing. Even though I was really hungry from driving 6 hours, I didn't finish half my plate. B6 combo Pho, if you prefer your broth on the sweet side (it's not too sweet don't be mistaken) this is your bowl of pho. I usually put a good helping of hoisin sauce on my pho but no need here. I was allowed to play with the spicy of this pho. My pallet loves spicy so with a quick wipe of my brow I can gauge how it's going. I was sweating but could not stop pour this broth in my body as fast as I could gulp! Noodles were cooked to chewy perfection and they did not skip on the basil, bean sprouts, lime etc. I finished this bowl went home and slipped into my normal Pho coma with an ear to ear smile on my face. Best place to eat Vietnamese food in Albuquerque. The food here is FRESH! Get the egg rolls in glass noodles-whatever it's called. The Vietnamese sandwich is delicious, be sure to wash it all down with the juice of a freshly cracked open coconut! YUM! read more

An excellent restaurant, managed by the owner with pride. looks like a former Pizza Hut building that has been tastefully redone and furnished appropriately. food was very good, different flavors than I am used to but a pleasant change. Must try the lime beef! Sort of an asian beef carpachio but with mint, carmelized onions and spices. Unusual and outstanding. Not in the best part of town but a definite "do again" Prices were a bargain in my opinion. Meal for two with two appetizers and two entrees a beer (33) and bottle of wine for less than $60.00 with a tip! Doesn't get a whole lot better. Owner, waiter, maitre de is very personable and attentive. An all together pleasant experience and i would definitely go again......and take friends! read more

I love Vietnamese food and this is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in town. I have eaten here often. The appetizer crispy quail is good and the cold chicken salad is also good. The bananna beef soup is incredibly flavorful, I have never come across anything like it anywhere else. There is a omelette thing with all kinds of goodies packed inside that is super. The pho is good too. I also like the fried egg noodles. Rice duck soup is nice on a cold day. I have had many other dishes, but these are the ones that stick out to me. The portions are generally large and the prices are reasonable. I have probably eaten here 200 times in 10 years and I have never had a bad experience. Highly recommended, you won't be sorry. Cafe Da Lat is our favorite Vietnamese in town, and our general go-to when we want Asian food in general. Pretty solid vegetarian selection, though you might ask just in case, as a few of their vegetarian dishes are made with fish sauce unless you ask for it without. We usually got to Pho #1 but they were closed on that day, I think it was a Tuesday. We stopped by Cafe Da Lat to cure our Vietnamese food craving. We ordered the egg rolls, pho tai, and bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle). Egg rolls were delicious but the pho and bun were not up to par of what we are used too. It seemed like they use the pho noodle for the bun bo hue too which was really strange! We will not be returning anytime soon. read more
