My husband and I met up with our Chinese friend who suggested we try Cafe Da Lat. we were greeted right away with a smile and seated immediately. I had great fun trying 3 new food entrees that had not tried before. The 4th was the spring roll, and it was delicious. The order is for two rolls, and we split those up an appetizer. Then we ordered a combination pho, a beef curry with rice, and a pork and eggplant dish with rice. Oh! We split a pork ban sandwiches well. Our friend said that his Vietnamese friend liked this restaurant the best . Nothing was too greasy or salty, and the flavors were new and exciting! I wanted to go back for more. My favorite though was the pork and eggplant. What amazing texture and flavor in that dish. Highly recommend that! Really friendly staff, and prompt service. Can't wait to go again!

The place doesn't look like much the inside is modestly decorated, but clean. Central has seen better days and Cafe da Lat is still serving amazing food. I can't recall when they opened, but they've been around more than 12 years. The pho is some of the best pho you can get in a restaurant. They have a special pho pot from Vietnam as I understand. I've been getting the combination pho or pho dac biet for years and it's always amazing. The service is fast and friendly.

A lackluster experience from beginning to end. The food was mediocre and didn't have a ton of taste. We had to flag down the server when we needed water, then again to get the check. My hubby ordered a banh mi, but they brought him a vermicelli bowl instead. There were only two other tables there, so the server was mainly just hanging out at the check-out counter, but didn't seem interested in actually serving guests. I find it hard to get excited about local cuisine when the staff don't care if we're there or not. The positives were the price and the fact they box leftovers for patrons.

Excellent food. Try the spicy beef stew. One of the best Vietnamese places in town. Very good quality and consistent.

The cold cuts were flavorful, the bread was fresh, and the meat to bread ratio was just right since I like more meat than bread. This is an excellent option for a quick lunch, but I would recommend staying to eat if you can. The decor is simple, the space is clean, and there are a few tables available. It does get busy during the lunch rush, but the line moves quickly and is well worth the wait. While the banh mi definitely steals the show, there are plenty of other options on the menu. Their banh cuon, thin rice noodles filled with ground pork and wood ear mushrooms, was good, though still second to the sandwiches. They also offer pate chau, a flaky puff pastry filled with pork pate, including a New Mexico style version with chicken and green chile. They have a variety of Vietnamese desserts like che, which I did not get a chance to try this time. My coworker loved their traditional Vietnamese hot coffee. I do not drink coffee, but I did enjoy one of their smoothies, which was refreshing and delicious. Overall, CODA Bakery is a go to spot for authentic Vietnamese flavors and one of the best places in Albuquerque for banh mi.

We stopped by early this Sunday morning and was pleasantly surprised that they have expanded the menu from mainly banh mi. The now have Pho and rice noodle dishes. B5 combo is a solid can't go wrong choice. All the protein was cooked well and seasoned nicely. Egg roll was good. Fish sauce is going to be the grey area because thats always personal preference, it was good, but would say more on the fishy side, which my fiance liked. Im used to my moms sauce which is more on the sweeter side. I also got an Vietnamese iced coffee and I will say it is probably the best Vietnamese ice coffee that I've had in thr ABQ area. Its was strong and nice and smooth. It wasn't too sweet. The reason why I say this is the best iced Vietnamese cofee I've had in ABQ is because other places, the Vietnamese coffee is bitter or its not balanced enough with flavor. At over $8 for a cup, it's pricey but if i need a Vietnamese coffee fix, this will be a good to spot. I will say they keep it really clean in there and the white esthetic was pleasing on this sunny Sunday while we were eating in there.

First, impression, the service was polite and understanding. The sandwich and drink came out within 10 min. Their Banh Mi was flavorful and was in a 9in roll that was lightly crispy and filled pretty well. I am used to shorter rolls that are stuffed way more. I felt like I ate more bread than toppings, otherwise I would rate it higher. It's about a $12 sandwich, on par with Subway footlong prices. The fruit tea was great, although I question the practicality of the canister it was served in. Instead of a plastic cup with a straw/no straw, it was in a plastic can that you can open like a soda can on top. I disliked how I couldn't reseal it or reuse it. If I wanted to recycle it, I'd have to put effort taking out the lemon wedges, which I did in order to. So, if I had the choice, I wouldn't get those cans. Everything costed about $20 before tip. I think in the future, I'll ask if I can get extra meat and veggies to make the Banh Mi feel more full. The place was also very bright and clean. I liked the atmosphere where there's plenty of seating. They also have every table with soup utensils and condiments bc they also serve pho.

I called to place an order through "Bamboo by Kulantro" with a very friendly staff member. He was just as friendly when I picked up my takeout on November 25, 2025. My "takeaway" entree was the Bamboo Bowl ($18.12 with a card). It entailed "vermicelli noodles, spring mix, crispy garnish, peanuts, house sauce, crispy egg roll cut up into pieces, two grilled shrimp, and my choice of protein: grilled beef. While there was an enormous amount of vermicelli noodles which I could not finish, the rest of the entree had great portions of the rest. My dog even enjoyed much of the beef I offered her. It seemed nice. Recommended for a healthy, quality meal with friendly service!
